I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The room was somewhat small, but bigger than I expected, and you don't really need any extra room. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was pretty nice. It also came with all the necessities, like razors and toothbrush and toothpaste. It's really close to the subway and it's also rather close to the train station- it's a really nice walk there.

The hotel is located just 5 mins away from Minami-Asagaya station on the Maruouchi line and about 25 mins away from Shinjuku. This makes is easy for travellers who wish for more night activities as taking a taxi back after midnight won't cost a bomb. Many shops and restaurants around the hotel at night if you are feeling hungry. The service was very good despite the staff not being able to speak much english. A very good hotel for those that are not going to spend much time in it as it provides all the basics. Will stay here again next year when i'm in Toko again

I cannot say enough about the level of service. The personnel at the hotel worked very hard to accomodate us. However, this hotel is generally overrated: much of the facility needs to be renovated, esp. the carpet inside the room; the location is a bit far from the center of Tokyo. The breakfast is generally OK, but if you prefer Western diet, it is a bit lacking.

My wife liked the massage chair but since the floor where it is located is for women only, I'll have to take her word for it. There are lots of shopping and eating establishments nearby. The room size was small but that seems to be the standard for Tokyo.

Although the room is quite small, it's extremely clean especially the bathroom. The staff are friendly too.A few of them can speak simple english. Also, one of the staff can speak fluent chinese.Even though, some only know Japanese language, they will still try their best to assist the customers.Nearby the hotel, there are a few convenience stores and restaurants that sell good food at reasonable prices.

Thank you, thank you and many, many thanks. My experience at the Amista Asagaya hotel was great!!! The rooms are very clean and bigger compare to the hotels in this price in Tokyo where most hotels there are so called "a rabbit cage". The staffs were very polite and helpful. There's an Italian restaurant in the first floor attached to the hotel lobby and I enjoyed great seafood spagetti. The hotel is located near a subway station and other public transits that it is very convenient to go to central Tokyo within 15 to 30 min. I was raised there and spend most of my twenties in the nearby town so I visit my hometown every now and then. I don't have any relative living there so that's the reason I was looking for an affordable place to stay. I think I found it! Also, I'll recommend to the ladies who travel by themselves. I felt very safe inside and outside of the hotel. The streets are well lite and clean. There's a police department across the street. There are many small but clean local restaurants nearby and a convenience store. The location is ideal for lady travelers. I'll definitely stay there everytime I visit Tokyo and will recommend to everyone I know. Amista Asagaya hotel has made my trip the most pleasant one. I can't say enough about Amista Asagaya and AsiaRooms.com. Thanks again. Jane Sachiko A.Shively Hiram, Georgia. U.S.A.

New (less than three years old), clean (non-smoking rooms available), quiet, reasonably priced in a residential neighborhood but conveniently close to a subway stop. Perfect for people who want to spend time exploring Tokyo and not wasting it inside a hotel's facilities. This is a place to sleep and have breakfast. I was in a single room with a desk and a rocking chair. Flat screen television with Tokyo stations only. Desktop ethernet connection to the internet in your room plus two internet workstations off the lobby. Breakfast in the attached Italian restaurant features Asian and Western buffet. A block away is the Asagaya market street arcade which leads to the Asagaya (Chou Line) train station (a alternative to the closer by Minamiasagaya (Marunouchi Line) subway station.
