Tokyo Hotels

Tokyo hotels are as futuristic as promised. After all, this is the country where the "pod hotel" was created: small capsules or booths stacked together with just enough space in which to sleep. Certainly an experience for one night, this is probably not the most pleasant way to spend any large amount of time, though it is undeniably cheap. Tokyo has a reputation for being expensive and this is also true. However, prices have fallen in recent years and it has become easier to find good value. Most of the high-end hotels are in the Shinjuku area. For cheaper, more atmospheric accommodation consider a B&B or hostel. For almost all ranges of budget it is wise to book in advance. Hotels in Tokyo become quickly booked up.
