Osaka Hotels

There are a number of hotels in Osaka, ranging from simple concrete guesthouses, to futuristic luxury hotels. Both Western-style accommodation and traditional Japanese homes can be found. The cheapest Osaka hotels tend to be located in the southern part of the city centre. Osaka is the home of the capsule hotel. The first one in Japan was opened here in 1979. There are now a number of capsule hotels across the city. Though it is probably not pleasant to spend an entire holiday staying inside these pods (and there is little space for luggage) it is certainly an experience for one night.
