Most of the luxury hotels in Hong Kong are to be found on Hong Kong Island, and this is the location for many of the familiar-name chains. Accommodation is not cheap, so the very top-end hotels have prices to match London, Paris or New York. The best way to find bargains and discounted rates is to book ahead. For cheaper Hong Kong hotels, head further away from the centre. Most of the hostels and guesthouses are found on Nathan Road, though the quality of these varies hugely.
