Cosco
20-21 Praya Road, Kennedy Town - Hong Kong
This is a good 2 stars budget hotel with limited facilities. The hotel is conveniently located closely to major tram, bus and taxi stations. A shopping mall is located behind this hotel. (KC Sep06) This is a modern, 3-storey building. Hotel Cosco is located in Kennedy Town, which is in the western part on Hong Kong Island, easy accessible with the tram, bus and taxis, which just stops in front of the hotel. It only takes 20 to 30 minutes drive to the major shopping, entertainment and business area of Central, Wan Chai and Causeway Bay. It is 30 minutes away from the International Airport.

This is my first trip to Hong Kong, I stay in this hotel mainly because the price, may be they are doing promotion during my visit, but i think i would strongly recommended to those who looking for a budget stay. If i would rate this hotel, i will give 4.5 stars upon 5. I minus the 0.5 for its location and facilities. However that is not an important point. The things i dislike about Hong Kong's hotel is that they didn't provide any breakfast. Cosco hotel only have limited room, make sure you booked your room earlier. The hotel doesn't have any restaurant, gym room and swimming pool. For myself that is not very important, however i hope that the hotel will establish a restaurant soon so that it is convenience to customer. The hotel is located in Kennedy Town which is not very far from the central. There is not MTR station there, but you can easily take a tram ride just opposite the hotel to Sheung Wan and then interchange to MTR line. Tram only cost HKD 2 per person per ride. Overall i think this hotel is worth to stay because the room is very clean, quite, good atmosphere and furnished long bath, lighting, mini fridge and TV.

Very friendly budget hotel. Room clean with TV (1 English channel)and en-suit. Rooms only - no beakfast/dining but fridge for own breakfast provisions. They provide boiling water in a thermos but could do with a kettle. Beds are hard as usual in HK, but you get used to it and they keep you cool. Room has air-con and our room was quiet. It's 10 to 15 minutes bus or tram from MTR at Sheung Wan. Ok for us as our daughter is living in Kennedy Town but it's quite isolated from the hub of HK. It's a budget western-style hotel but with very Chinese twists and friendly English-speaking staff. Free computer in the lobby.

My rating indicates more effort is required in improving the atmosphere. It''s true what you pay is what you get! Hotels are places where you should feel to revisit, This hotel encourages to try another hotel. I hope for Cosco Hotel to ask itself, what

This hotel ideally suited to budget travelers, but it seems only budget rates are available if you book in advance. You won't get it at the door if you just turn up. With 2 heavy suitcase, me and my wife had to fight the glass doors open whilst the receptionist looked on. Service was poor, and receptionist would rather answer the phones rather than try and sort out your enquiry as you stand by the desk looking like a lemon! Other than that, it's ok! ;)

Cosco Hotel Hong Kong provides friendly services. However, native speakers of English or customers who use English to convey their messages may find it difficult to communicate with the receptionists/informationists of the hotel. Regarding the location of the hotel, it is very convenient to walk to the U. of Hong Kong. Moreover, it is very easy to go to the town centre by using tram/bus/taxi services around that area. Bus no. A 10 to the airport passes the hotel every 30 minutes, and the price is reasonable, $HKD 48 for a single ticket. The hotel also provides the Internet access on the ground floor. There are two PC available for the hotel guests only. In sum, it is suitable for visitors who want to save some money for shopping, as the booking rate of the rooms are reasonable. People/tourists who do not care so much about a number of stars for their overnight stays may consider trying the Cosco Hotel for their next trip to Hong Kong.

Though far from city, very convinent transport system to reach all places, needs improvement in Ac and Drainage voice control which disturbs night sleep. If looking for cheap accomodation cosco is very good. As I am Indian I was very happy when I was able to found good restaurants near by.

Nice decent hotel, well run. Very 'out of the way' location makes it loose appeal for sightseeing or tourism, but there are good shops and malls nearby.

The hotel is not situated near a Metro station but travelling by tram and bus is cheap and convenient. Internet is free and accessible. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially for Chinese speaking guests. I had to find a doctor at night and received timely advice, which helped. The room is spacious for a single person, complete with a bath. I could comfortably eat in my room , while watching tv in a chair and table. The only trouble I have is in finding a double adaptor for my camera. They wanted a $100 deposit for loaning it. I was able to buy one for $8 at the street market later.
