Most of the hotels in Guangzhou are developed for business travellers, so there is a good choice of luxury and high-end accommodation. Prices are reasonable year-round, except for the last two weeks of April and October. This is the time of the big trade fairs and the cost of rooms can rise by as much as four times due to massive influx of visitors. If you are travelling during this time it is essential to book as far in advance as possible. There are fewer budget and mid-range Guangzhou hotels.
