is good hotel for sure

Near the Train Station. Room is well cleaned and maintained.

I stayed at Guangdong New Xiangjiang hotel for two days. The counter staff had been friendly but the room was a little worned. I just do not understand why I had to get the staff on my floor to switch on my aircondition everytime I return to my room, eventhough they gladly do so. Overall, for the price and location, it had been a nice stay.

Stayed at the Guangdong New Xiangjiang hotel for 2 nites. Generally quite ok for the price. good value for money. Staff also quite friendly and the restaurants serve good food and prices reasonable. A word of caution about the location- near the railway station- where there is quite a number of undesriable around this location. I have been warned by some locals on the first day there and yet my wife lost her necklace to a snatch thief while walking past the railway station back to the hotel.

Terrible, no record found while i reach the reception. They ask me pay for those night i booked.

Great for people who want to be part of the action Take hotels bus card with u at all times, as Taxi drivers DO NOT UNDERSTAND ANY ENGLISH! Know the currency very well Check yr change as many taxis will play dumb and shortchange u. At markets always bargain, if a shirt costs 100 Yuan, offer 25Y, they will refuse,just walk away, they will chase u and then u can agree on a price, usually 1/3 of orig price. It will feel odd at 1st and u will become very good at it. The normal price is 30 Yuan, but when they see a westerner it jumps to 100Y immed.

Train station This hotel is very good connected with the canton fair, but the conditions and maintenance are very poor. The hotel are very close to the Guangzhou train station, and trains are very noisy at all night . I dont recomend these hotel.

coackroaches in the room staff highly imcomptent

I do not mean to complain but this hotel was way over priced for its facilities. I know it was extra cold in China during our stay but the room was colder in side than outside. We froze. The room was never cleaned in our 3 day stay.

I wouldnt recommend the Guangdong New Xiangjiang hotel. The rooms are worn. And the staff does not have a nice attitude. I can give some examples of this: one night I woke from a rat (!) eating some peanuts in my room which I scared off when waking up. Next morning I told the staff about this but they chose not to believe my story and thus did nothing about it. Another example is the so called internet service in the hotel, which didnt work at all. Still they charged me and some other people trying to use it even it didnt work. So I definetly recommend you to find another hotel, there are hotels in similar price range in GuangZhou but that are better.
