The location of of the hotel was great, next to the metro with shops and eateries nearby. The room was old and significantly shown on the carpet and bathroom. The shower tap in the bathroom came off and took several efforts to put it back and turn off the water! The lifts could access to guest rooms for anyone which I think it's not that safe. We stayed in the standard room but would go for superior room next time.

I do not recommend it When we arrived, the front desk assigned us a room that was nothing like the one that we had seen in the Expedia booking site. It was old, and it smelled. After, we complained, they assigned a better room, but it was still below our expectations. The room was old and was not well kept. The staff in the front desk and the concierge were not friendly and rude, and even made a negative comment when they saw that we had 4 bags. The location was also not good.

2nd time staying at this hotel, the 1st time was given 15th floor which the rooms are newly renovated (maybe because we showed their VIP card). This time round was given 19th floor which the rooms was old, lights was dim. 1st step in feeling was alittle creepy but after awhile it's ok. Service and cleanliness was better with the VIP card on hand. There 3rd floor tim sum was good! Always long queue.

okay overall...good for guangzhou I went to Guangzhou for the Canton Fair. I chose to stay at this hotel partially based on the description of the hotel; which I found weren’t completely accurate. The description of the hotel (if memory serves me correctly) said it’s located in a quiet residential area. The rear of the hotel is residential, but the main street it’s located on is pretty busy; full of other hotels and clubs. I often woke up in the middle of the night because of jet lag, and I could hear the bass thumping from one of the clubs. I wasn’t sure if the sound was from the club on the hotel’s 28th floor (I was on the 22nd) or from one of the other neighboring clubs. The bass sound isn’t loud at all, but you can definitely hear it. I didn’t try any of the hotel’s restaurants, except the complementary breakfast buffet. It was okay..nothing to write home about. My room was clean, and room service did a good job of cleaning it. I have to minor complaints about my room: 1) the bed was super stiff (but i heard that’s the norm in china) 2) the hotel had only 1 english tv channel. The hotel staff understood basic english...not all of them; just some of them. However, I had no problems with checking in or checking out. They seemed pretty eager to help. The hotel also offered free shuttle service to the convention centers. 3 shuttle to the 2 sites, and 3 scheduled shuttles back to the hotels. Traveler's tip for business travelers There’s no small stores in the hotel, but there’s a 24-7 7-11 a 4-5 blocks down. The massages at the hotel’s 8th floor were cheap and pretty good. They were somewhat on the strong side.
