Dong Fang Hotel was built in 1961. It was a hotel particularly for senior government ministers and foreigners. We are honored with The International Five Star Diamond Award by The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences from 2006 to 2007. After over 40 years development, Dong Fang Hotel is still one of the best hotels in Guangzhou. Not an Excellent choice ! The hotel is not bad, but not worth the value. From check in to room service, staff is generally slow and not very cooperative. Not a very nice atmosphere, and location is not very strategic. Despite the fact that it is close to couple markets.

Have been staying at the Dong Fang Hotel on each of my trips to Guangzhou, indeed one of the finest hotels in Guangzhou. The most hospitable staff who are at your service 24x7. Elegantly designed rooms & bathrooms, makes you feel you are in a presidential suite. As they say - "You come in as guests & leave as family".

Upon registration you will probably be asked if you want to "upgrade" to the executive floor. I did though I am unsure of how much benefit this was. The rooms were very clean, well maintained, spacious and the executive floor had breakfast (OK but not br

Very near of everything in th e city. The rooms are perfect. I have be in Canton FAir and the service are perfect with the hotel full.

The rooms are big, so are the beds. Service are good. They even provide drying racks for those who wish to do their own laundry.

Wow! I was amazed by their service indeed. And that was my first time in GZ. I was greeted the moment I stepped into the hotel entrance. Their room service was efficient & always at your service upon calling. Remarkable! In any time, I would recommend my friends to stay in this hotel.

Dong Fang - GuangZhou This is a great hotel. Clean, secure and well equiped for the professional businessman, as well as for a honeymoon trip. It exceeded my expectations. Traveler's tip for business travelers Be sure to ask for their voltage transformer, if you come from America.

Well, Dong Fang is one of the few hotel could get 5 Stars in early 80's in China. I been there many time when I was teenage. Seversal US Presidents has been lived in this hotel. There is a park & newly builded subway station near by the hotel.

it was fine but they did not clean very well.the food was excellent and there was a baby room which was really usefull.the garden was fantastic
