The Hotel Diplomat was not a great experience. The food was not worth the price. The room-service was terrible. Everytime I had ordered service I needed to call back after 30 to 40 min. This was on two occations. I had orderd soda but it came in a bottle unopened. I called for a bottle opener but it never did come. The rooms were not very clean and the hotel was not modern at all. I would not recomend this hotel at all."

We stayed there for a week and it was not bad. The service was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the food was decent.Flat screen tv and small refrigerator. The only thing was the bed was a bit hard...( very firm ) and there was construction going on there that begun at around 8 am or so.Also ,if you stay here request a room at the rear of the hotel because it is a bit noisy at night if you are at the front of the hotel. But over all it was pretty good.We are going back in a couple of months and I am going to call to see if they have softer beds and if so then we will stay there again but on the back side of the hotel.

When I checked in, I asked for a high floor room, so I checked in a room in the 11th floor. The receptionist was very helpful. The hotel was old. The elevator reaches 10th floor only. When I had to go to my room, I had to take stairways up to 11th floor. The breakfast was very poor in quality. The location of the hotel was good and near shopping area. Being a Muslem in Arab country, I found it very uncomfortable to have no wash water in the toilet. Hotel management must consider providing bathroom slippers and wash water in the toilet.

The hotel is not four star, it may be 1 stare. So, I do not think I recommend the hotel to anyboday to stay with it. However, there are some new rooms which I could not get, maybe good.
