After arriving in Rabat at midnite,me and my husband spent the evening walking up and down struggling with our suitcases. There where plenty of hotels but all booked and not very welcoming also overpriced. But from the moment that I spotted the large flashing hotel sign and from the entrance, me and my husband new The Royal Hotel was the one! We stayed there for a total of 4 nights. The staff were all friendly, and the hotel was so clean. Every morning the cleaners came in and took care of everything leaving us fresh towels. The hot water was brilliant after a long day around the city. The room was a great size, with a shower and also a tv. Its well situated there are lots of cafes and shops, and you can also catch a little taxi further into the city for more activity!!! One more things before I go,please visit Pinchos, there food is the best.

I stayed in this hotel between 13 and 16 october 2006. it is a parisian style apartment block combination with maroccon details. it is location is a big plus; next to the city park, very close to madina and also to the cafes, shops and bufets. the rooms are clean and its servis is not bad, although the lift and telephone in the room was not working at the time i stayed. i recommend the 3rd floor rooms with a balcony to a wonderfull view of the park , it worths everything.

Very well placed in Rabat, half way between the station and the medina. Comfy and spacious room with separate bathroom for 500Dh, mind you some of the others we saw in the hotel were on the small side. Very good breakfast with fresh OJ and a selection of pastries. Try the Lebanese restaurant near the station for a great selection of tasty food and a change from tajines!!

The Royal Hotel was recently renovated and features clean and comfortable rooms with nice furniture. The location is perfect for business travelers and tourists. It takes not more than 10 minutes to walk from the railway station. Bathrooms have European standard. The staff was very friendly and polite. Shortly after arrival a bottle of water and fruits were served. In the restaurant there are dishes at reasonable prices available. Unfortunately, credit cards are not accepted.

The reception is cold. The hotel are old, rooms too. Ask for rooms in front of the park (less noisy). Breakfast is not bad. It s well located (in the very heart of Rabat). Maybe it s only good point....

Having heard that this was a recommended hotel and has good descriptions in guide books I expected better. The location was great, near the station was perfect for me and as Rabat is quite small easy enough to travel around by foot mostly wasn't far away from most sites. Unfortunately during my stay I had no hot water, the bed felt damp and it is so noisy, you can hear everything, even peoples' foot steps on the street below. The breakfast is adequate with a piece of baguette and a few mini pastries. I would choose another hotel next time I was in Rabat.
