Riyad Al Moussika
62, Derb Boutouil - 40000 Marrakech
Riyad Al Moussika is situated in the ancient medina of Marrakech, five minutes walk from place Jemâa El Fna, with one of the three entrances approachable very closely by car and with a parking area; the property, once one of the residences of the former Pasha of Marrakech, Thami El Glaoui, has been refurbished to an extremely high standard with rigorous respect for the Andalusian style, whilst paying great attention to modern accessories in order to obtain the highest levels of comfort. Five double bed rooms and one single room, all en-suite, have been created for the guests. One of the gates of Riyad Al Moussika opens on to a garden with, among other trees, two centenary old cypresses soaring to the sky, a huge bougainvillea climbing across the pergolas, a swimming pool in the centre or, more precisely, an Andalusia basin thirteen meters long, tiled with a mosaic carpet design. Here water falls from a white Carrara marble fountain to the songs of numerous small birds creating an idyllic scenario, in spite of being in the heart of central medina. All around the garden there is a cloister in typical fondouks Moroccan style with at the end, a large music-reception room decorated with a cedar painted ceiling and with white marble tiles interlaced with the mosaic on the floor. The Riyad boasts all the latest comforts: all rooms and sitting places are equipped with air-conditioning, heating, telephone, Sat-TV. The bedding and linen in the bedroom have been selected with particular care, with an emphasis on natural fibres throughout.

My husband & I stayed at Riad Al Moussika 4 nights at the beginning of our trip to Morocco last month and this has been the highlight of our Moroccan holidays. ( riyad-al-moussika.com ) One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was for its location and for the good reviews on Trip Advisor. It is a wonderful place to stay to explore Marrakech, being within walking distance of many of the major attractions of the city. Having such a central location was very handy too for going and coming back to the main souk for the everlasting negotiations for the inevitable shopping. Our bedroom was excellent with the a very comfortable bed and high quality linen and had the largest bath tubs I have ever seen !

The Riyad Al Moussika, where I spent with friends a long weekend at the beginning of our journey to the south of Morocco in early January, is a place that has stopped time, where the magical atmosphere, relives Morocco of Pasha of 1800, but with all the comfort of our century. Everything is perfect, authentic, calm and serene. Recommend strongly this hotel for its central location, even for the excellent and very professional service provided by the young boys of the staff, always smiling and present without being intrusive. The chef and owner, a nice and helpful big boy, who speaks I do not know how many languages, but among them an excellent Italian that has enabled me to know a world of things about authentic Marrakech, thing impossible otherwise, due to my language limitations, and, most important, who cooks in divine way. I conclude that the value for money is very good considering that the copious breakfast and the courses haute cuisine lunch, (by far the best of all restaurants in Marrakech and Morocco, where we ate).

We, (a group of 6 friends from UK), stayed at Riad Al Moussika Hotel, (www.riyad-al-moussika.com) in June and had a wonderful experience! The staff was great from the moment we arrived. Everyone was friendly, we received incredible rooms with terrace and/or windows overlooking the beautiful swimming pool and garden and the Moorish court. The rooms were immaculate and were beautifully furnished with authentic paintings and antique Moroccan furniture. My huge bathtub was great after walking all day. Very nice library, with a large selection as well of English books about Morocco and Moroccan culture. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone. A great staff, outstanding rooms, the perfect location and very good food too.
