I visited Marrakech on February 2005. I decided to eat at the "city most famous ryad" for lunch. The french lady at frontdesk ignored me when I walked into the door, so I had to get her attention. Then she said to go upstairs and find a table and someone will be with me shortly. Usually, the hostess escorts you to the table. Anyways, so I sit there waiting for the waiter/waitress. I see a french guy waiting on other people and not taking any notice of me. I sat there for a good 40 minutes and no one came to my table. I was hungry from a good walk in the medina, so I decided to leave. Les Deux Tours is not what it is cracked to be.

Nice hotel in the middle outside the city. Good if you want to relax out of the hectic medina of Marrakech. Staff though is not very professional for a 5 star hotel. I was kindly offered an English paper on my arrival only to find out that I was forced to pay for it in cash on my departure. I didn't have any cash on me and they insisted that I pay the taxi driver the additional amount once I was at the airport. All of that fuss and pain for less than £2.... a bit frustrating and absurd in comparison to our total hotel bill. This left me with the feeling of a cheap wannabe luxurious hotel which was running after every penny in my pocket. I didn't regret going there but would not go back.

This is a must stay Hotel in Marakesh if you like a good mixture of Maroccen-French interior design. Its a bit far from the Medina but meter taxis are not very expensive either. Excellent Service including the Spa, good fusion food, lush cardens and a pool to relax utmost make you really feel to be in a 5 Star Oasis. Prices are more then reasonable for what you get.

I'm afraid I have to report that if you stay here then there is a big but attached and that is service, or should I say the lack of it.When you pay top dollar rates you expect top dollar service. It has put us off ever going back to Les Deux Tours !!!! It is quoted in several reviews that the owners want to remain 'fiercely anonymous', so do the management! We have had no response from the management about our complaint as yet, say no more
