Our rom was very pleasant, overlooking the pool and garden. We could have done with some more storage space for clothes, though. The hotel itself, although modern, has made an effort to take account of the fact it is in Marrakech and is built in the style of a (large) riad. The gardens are very relaxing to sit in and there is a good sized pool. It is a taxi ride away from central Marrakech, but after time there, feels a haven of peace and quiet. Breakfast was buffet style, with fresh fruit always available. The service was occasionally a little disorganised, but on the whole the staff was very helpful and friendly.

We stayed here for two nights whilst on a trekking holiday, it was a welcome relaxed atmosphere, the food was brilliant as were the rooms and staff. I would recommend this for people who like to be away from the hussle and bussle of city centre, whilst still close enough to the town to enjoy the many delights of the city.

Very nice public rooms. Bedrooms need updating. Garden & pool beautiful. Service at breakfast not good. Waiters only clear dirty tables when absolutely necessary. Breakfast choice not great. Taxi needed in to Marrakech, but not far.

We booked this hotel through an agency as there were ten of us staying in Marrakech on business for ten days. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The staff were rude and behaved as though we were a nuisance to them, scoffing if you offered them less than 50DH for a tip. The food was average and expensive in comparison to the amazing stuff available in the medina. Generally felt really unwelcome and they even tried to overcharge us when we left. I strongly advise against staying at Hotel Tichka.

Already on the second day somebody stole all my money and papers ... the direction helped us , especially Mr:Seddik ! Thousand Thanx !!! The personal is'nt yet of the same level in all respects: there is lot of friendlyness, but this is where it ends.....often ! The kids found the divans in the marrocan restaurant very pleasant, the waiting-times for the food for sure not. Often they felt asleep before the food came, means: we paid for not even touched food. The rooms are lacking electrical outlets (nowerdays you have to reload the CEL-phone, the digital-camera and for sure the hairdryer is neede in the same moment) and the ones you find behind the TV is rather a case for a technical inspection... Who has a sense for a very lovely imperfection is right here ! I gonna go back for sure !

The bedroom furniture needs to be replaced. Also security is pretty relaxed. Twice, there were strangers knocking on our doors!

The Melia Tichka has mixed old world Moroccan charm and decor and flawlessly melded it with the service level standard that we here in the U.S. take for granted. As soon as you drive up you are whisked into another dimension. The lobby is full of examples of Moroccan Mosaics and furnishings giving it a vibrant yet peaceful ambience. The pool is a treasure surrounded by palms.Words nor the available picture do it justice.Off to the right of the pool there is a restaurant that serves brunch featuring Moroccan as well as Continental fare.My experience with the food was good although it is not the focus of your stay. The rooms are spacious and in the half dozen times I have stayed there I always had a room with a large private balcony overlooking the pool.I always found the rooms to be clean and comfortable with nice size bathrooms,a fully stocked minibar and yes they actually have cental air and heat.Anyone who has traveled understands this a treat especially in the summer. The staff are so helpful and if you are lucky enough to return you will likely see the same concierge who will probably remeber you by name and your requests. They are able to exchange currency, arrange transportation or tours and please don't be shy-ask questions! The staff will go above and beyond to secure your experience is one you will remember.Be sure to ask about the Dinnershow that features actual members of different Moroccan tribes traveling from tent to tent performing music from their region and ends with an awesome show of Arabian horses and acrobat riders, the staff will make your reservations and procure your tickets for you. For the price and the ambiance you can't beat this deal.

We really enjoyed this hotel, the Moroccan restaurant is well worth eating at. The food is excellent. The pool is cool to get into but not a problem. The staff are friendly and helpful at anytime of the morning!

A little far from touristic places. Undergoing a lovely refurbishing. Very nice pool. Buffet is somewhat limited.

Probable one of the best 'value for money' hotels in Marrakech. Located a ten minute taxi ride from the Medina. This Hotel has an excellent swimming pool in its own garden and is an ideal place to relax after a day's sightseeing - or simply for sunbathin
