Promissing, but not there yet... The newly opened Es Saadi Palace is a promising hotel, but it is not yet living up to the expectations. What we liked: the location close to the Medina, the amazing large and flowery garden, the large swimming pool, the quality of the material used. What we did not like: It is noisy (nearby road despite double glazing and tiled lobby which resonates from the air conditioning engine and luggage trolleys). We had quite a few problems with the room (bathroom, TV, fridge, eneving service), which we ended up living with, as we got tired of mentioning issues again and again. Not so welcoming of children. All in we felt a bit lost and lonely (few customers) in this large, but soulless hotel which has not yet developed the expected service level. Luxury is not only defined by the quality of the setting (by the amount of marble used or by the height of the ceilings), it should be a good level of comfort and an exquisite service: that has not been reached yet. They may get it right, but I would let plenty of time pass for them to sort it out before giving it a second chance.

The hotel was not too big, all the staff were friendly, happy and helpful. The location was excellent just outside the Medina and the gardens were very pretty. All in all a great place to relax after a day of exploring the area. Rooms were large and very clean beds very comfy. We will be back.

This is my impression after a two day stay. I found a beatiful room, gorgeous bath/dressing room, clean swimming pool, very good restuarant, helpful staff, hotel grounds clean and well maintained, close to casino

I think the first two reviews where added by guests of the Palace-section of the hotel, as rooms and especially bathrooms are small and not-at-all up-to-date. Good service, small swimmingpool in function of the # guestrooms. Central airco; so it's either on or off. Tourist-class. Good location.
