This superb riad is located in Marrakech, in Morocco. We expected a good standard of accommodation, but were not prepared for what was probably the best service I have ever experienced. We had a friendly staff, traditional fare on check-in, travel advice, and excellent quality of room, at a good price. All the rooms are uniquely furnished with A/C, original art, and it’s well lit. The location is excellent, and walkable from central Marrakech and highlights. It’s highly, highly recommended.

This place is stunning and totally unexpected...Behind a very simple door on a busy, dusty street, is an incredibly calm and peaceful oasis. Smack facing the Royal Palace, you couldn't ask for a better location. Our bed was huge, and more comfortable than the one we have at home. We ate out a bunch of times, but in the end, we found the best food was here--they even taught my wife how to make couscous...We looked at a bunch of places, and even though this was cheaper than some others, we found it way better than we expected, and in retrospect it seemed better than some of the other places we had looked at. We'll never forget the sunset with the giant storks in their nests on the palace ramparts, so close you could hear them clacking their beaks, and the purple night sky, with a drink in hand, it was fantastic...the owners are slightly mad--we counted something like 200 trees on the roof terrace...All said, the view from the terrace has to be one of the best in Marrakech, and they've got plenty of space, and tables and chairs, to enjoy it. We can't wait to go back. Definitely plump for one of the "deluxe" rooms, the regular ones are a bit small...we stayed in the Atlas room, which is kind of tucked away in the second courtyard, so it was extra peaceful, and kind of gave us the feeling that we had the whole place to ourselves--even though we think it was almost full. My wife used the hammam and had a massage, and she looked five years younger afterwards--she said the massage was the best she ever had...I wished I had done the hammam too, but I just had to go back and get that lamp! We will definitely be going back.

This charming little hotel is an absolute find. You would never know what awaits you when you pull up in a taxi onto this dusty street, and see what is otherwise a rather plain front door. But this is also the magic, because, wow, what a wonderful surprise awaits you as you walk in.

All Review Photos We stayed for four nights at this beautiful Riad, located in the Medina just a 15 minute walk to the Jemaa El Fna, the centre of all the action. Our arrival at the hotel was greeted by mint tea and cooling towels, and we were soon ...
