The Coralia Club is situated in a palm tree forrest about five miles from Marrakech. The tranquility of the location is a welcome break from the noise of marrakech. Shuttle buses from hotel go to and from marrakech every hour (6 EUR Return). The Coralia has alot going for it. Fantastic grounds, Numerous activities available on a daily basis and very friendly staff. However it is not perfect. We had to be moved from our room on first night as bathroom was full of mould. The food is average and birds are often seen flying across the dining hall. Only a few staff speak English as most of the guests are from france. Overall though it is an ideal base to explore morocco if you want to balance the manic sights with rest days in a great looking location.

Just returned from this hotel and felt compelled to warn others, I have never writen a hotel review before but such was the bizare nature of this one I felt it necessary for the sanity of other british travellers; If you enjoy extremely loud and child like poolside entertainment (played by predominantly french or belgian middle aged couples), a 'gym' that wouldn't pass a british safety inspection in the 50's and overpriced alcohol served by staff who's english vocabulary consists only of 'manchester united yes' then this is the place for you. If you have to stay here, do so on an all inclusive basis as the breakfast stops serving at 10am and the dinner starts at 8pm, there is a huge premium to eat lunch at the hotel and no shops within around 6km so on many occasion we took to smuggling croissants from breakfast to survive! Marrakech is an amazing place but this is definately not an appropriat base from which to visit it! Also no tv or fridge, no room service and no kettle.

We stayed in this hotel for one night before we flew back to the UK. One night was enough. This is a self contained complex which reminded me of Butlins. The culture and buzziness of the 'real' Marrakech is miles away. You'll have a much more cultural experience staying in a Riad. We stayed in Riad Karmela for 3 nights at the beginning of our trip and really enjoyed it.

We stayed with two children (4&10) in Feb 07. The animators were great at keeping the kids entertained. There were interesting activities - archery, rollerblading, table tennis, camel riding, horse riding, volley ball -alongwith poolside activities. Mostly french people and french language used - though the following speak good English - Fathia at reception, Kamal in the restaurant (excellent help as well), Saidou - animator, Azzedine - animator, Kawtor - animator. Also watch out for the biggest smile in the resort - that belongs to Mustapha. The food was good through out the week - that french influence. The nightly entertainment was great for the kids as they appreciated the seeing the animators doing dance routines in the evening. Everyone was very friendly and made our holdiay very enjoyable. There were also guards around the accomodation area at all times which made it all feel very safe indeed. The layout of the rooms in little houses of 5 or 6, with a out-door walk was also nice - getting away from airconditioned corridors was great. We played tennis everyday and ate loads - but without putting on weight. On the downside, the bathroom was a little tired in a decor sense - chips in the bath enamel and dark stains. The tiling was also jaded - however, you hardly spend any time in the rooms, so we would go back next week given the opportunity. They also plan to refurbish the rooms starting in March - lasting for two year (60 rooms at a time).

stayed there for 5 days just returned home on the 16th march the weather was good. the hotel was lovely with lots of different buffet food each night but similar breakfasts each day. the staff are very pleasant and make you welcome. the hotel grounds are beautiful and give it that african feel. remeber this is a 3 star hotel and by african standards it was a good 3 star possibly a 4. if you want an experience get a taxi from the hotel approx 100 dirhams and go to the big square aka jemma el fna wot a place that is. watch your money pickpockets galore.snake charmers, leather souvenirs, belly dancers, beggars , evrything so different to your normal spain holidays. we loved it it was a must see and an experience

I have just spent the Easter break in this hotel and I would never refer it to anyone. The room was very tired and empty: no TV, no hair dryers, no kettle; nothing you would expect to see in a 3* hotel. Plus there was a massive mould in the bathrooom and the toilet stank of sewage. The location was lovely, but you have to pay for everything; the key for the little safe in the room (you don't get your deposit back on departure!), beach towels, table tennis, bottles of water; and the shuttle bus to Marrakesh. None of the staff spoke a word of English, some of them seemed pretty rude and even ordering a taxi to the airport was a nightmare. There were some Italian and Dutch turists staying at the hotel with us, but the staff seemed to completely ignore us and focus on French guests only. I have stayed in many hotels but this one was definitelly the worst!

If what you are looking for is a lovey garden and some rather impressive common parts, you'll like the place. Arriving there at night can be enchanting (especially since you will have driven some 10 kms of run down suburbs of Marrakech), as the over all architecture of the Andalous garden are quite pleasant. But, basically, that is it. Rooms plainly plain: nothing to write home about, but lovely settings in little patios with very little view of the Atlas. Standard comfort, but somehow clean. No way this can acommodate the stated 4 stars, even by North African standards. Be prepared for 1 and a half, and you'll be happy. Much happier in fact than when the food is concerned. There again both the brakfast an dinner buffets look nice (from a distance) in a pleasant dining room. But everything tastes the same, and that same is close to nothing. Did they ever say that the food in Marrakech should sometimes be too hot ? That certainly is not the case at this hotel !

my wife and i stayed in this hotel for 10 days in june 2008 in an all inclusive formula. we have already visited many different countries/hotels and frankly this was the WORST experience so far!!! the hotel is totally worn out! starting with the room: very very dirty (the bed sheets didn't got changed in 8 days!, the warm water had a brown colour, the room had many other guests besides us 2 namely ants, flies, grasshoppers, beetle, a cockroach, ..., the wood of the door and windows was completely rotten!!!, the bathtub was painted and the paint itself was already going away... it was not only our room that was in this condition because we heard many other guests complain and change the room! the restaurant was the worst one ever: there were many small birds flying inside the restaurant and you can imagine the result: they ate of the food (from the baskets and the tables), there was bird [--] everywhere, they had even build nests inside the big lamp on the wall!!! there were signs of water dammage (fungus) the food itself was also terrible: everyday cabbage, ok maybe we are not fond of marrocan food but that was really really not good (we survived the 10 days on pasta and French fries), everyday was almost the same to eat no variation, the day after were the recycled leftovers from the day before :-( they also had late breakfast (from 10-12) but that were also the leftovers from the normal breakfast - if you were lucky you would have a croissant! there were little flies in the wine- and water tank - the soda machine leaked the bar had a limited choice of cheap local drinks and warm soda's (they didn't but the bottles in the fridge) if you wanted something cold you had to pay!!! the snacks in the afternoon were a laugh: 1/4 of a pancake, a small piece of french bread with tuna or chicken and again warm drinks!!! and if you are brain dead and like to be threated as a kid the animation is top from morning to evening!!! 1 thing must be said: the staff did there best and was very friendly - management sucked big time!!! so in short: STAY AWAY!!! AND SPEND YOUR WELL EARNED MONEY SOME PLACE ELSE!!!

This resort was gorgeous and exceeded every expectation I had. The previous reviewer must have had some bad luck, because my room was immaculate, well-appointed, and everything was in working order. I did notice the maids leave the balcony doors open while they clean, so a fly or two may get in (but I never saw another bug anywhere in the resort). I was the first American guest some of the staff had ever seen there, and they could not have been more welcoming to me. When I booked this, I read that it was popular with French-speaking tourists, but it turned out to be 100% French-speaking, as far I could tell. All signs, menus, and the guide to the resort in your room are all exclusively in French (which I speak and read, so no complaints there). The room rate included delicious all-you-can-eat breakfast & dinner buffets and some cute activities that I didn't take part in (like a belly dancing class). Their shuttle bus into Marrakech drops you off about a 7-minute walk from Djemaa el Fnaa and is half the price of a taxi. The pool was enormous, clean, and the perfect temperature to counteract the hot, Moroccan sun. I stayed there alone and found the grounds a bit underlit at night but was reassured by the security guards with dogs who seemed to come out after dark and walk the grounds.

We stayed in this hotel for one night only, thank goodness! Do not stay here unless you are French. The staff either cannot or will not speak English. We arrived at 1 in the afternoon and could not get anything to eat until 5 that night! No room service, no restaurant or snack bar open. The rooms are below average, very tired and basic. There is no television in the rooms and no other form of communication. I wanted to have a shower in the evening but there was not hot water until the following morning. This hotel is part of the Accor chain. We have stayed in other Accor chain hotels, both in Morroco and other countries and always been very happy with them. This hotel is also part of the Accor chain and is really letting down the name. I wish I had read other reviews before booking it. It is overpriced and over-rated
