Good value for money. Not near the city centre but that was our own choice. Within 15 minutes and for low costs you can reach the city centre by petit-taxi.

I was scared about staying in this hotel after reading some of the reviews but it turned out to be one of the best hotels in our journey through Morocco. The hotel was recently renovated and the rooms were fabulous. We had an ocean view and the location can't be beat. There is easy access to the beach and the restaurants and bars. The breakfast was good and the staff were helpful. Really couldn't have asked for better and would recommend this hotel.

After 2 weeks travelling through Moroccos imperial citys we had booked a 3 day chill out pakage at the 5 star Hotel Suisse. Above all we were looking forward to the 5 star experience of Sauna, excellent food, pool and the possibilites of being treated for what you had paid for. Upon arrival the hotel looked rather shabby and in need of decoration, very dark inside with a distinct lack of plants or anything to lift its gloomy atmosphere. The hotel looks like it was built some time ago, however it is still not finnished, decorations and renovations were a common practice in our 3 day stay. The cleaners however very friendly had to be reminded to put towles in your rooms, the room was very dusty but large with a comfortable bed, cold water in the less than powerful shower too. Breakfast on our first day was a scene of mayhem, screaming kids and pretty dodgy food, adjacent to the eating area was the pool, not bad at all however 3 umbrellas for the potential 180 guests to keep in the shade whilst sunbathing was pretty crap you will agree. The sauna and nighclub were not ready for use, the receptionist kindly advised us of a local sauna we could use however we had to our understanding already apid for the use of one in the hotel, why would we want to pay for an external one??. Evening meal was very good indeed for two nights the third night it was pretty much left overs, a lasange that i couldnt qualify as to what its ingredients were. Food and drinks were triple the price as to that externally so we didnt bother outisde of the meals we had paid for. I could creat more cold air with my arse than the air con did in our room, due to this we had to leave the balcony door open to create a breeze, this didnt come without its problems though as we were kept awake by the constant noise of beeping cars( a Moroccan hobby i believe). The staff we found ok, however the catering staff were rather abrasive and rude rushing about removing your plates as soon as you had eaten, a serious lack of plates and organisation in the complex, incapable of adding up how many people were expected for dinner even though these people had booked in to stay All in all id give it a miss, overpriced, yeah you got fed well, but the place was subdued and not very well run at all. If any tried the lasange im gald i wasnt sharing a room with them Dysentry Rob, London UK

Hmmm, where do we begin? We arrived at the hotel tired and grumpy after a transatlantic flight. Front desk checked us into a room that had not yet been cleaned. Not a big deal - we went downstairs and had a coffee while housekeeping cleaned it. When we returned to the room, the bellboy did his tour of the room and neglected to turn on the AC. When I went to turn it on, it didn't work. When I went to the desk to complain we were told that the AC didn't work anywhere in the hotel and it would be days (oddly, the AC was expected to be fixed exactly the day we were checking out!) before it would be fixed. Also, we were told that "it isn't hot in Casablanca" so AC is not needed. Well, that was true, it was indeed cool for that time of year and we lived to tell the story but... Yes, the hotel is STILL under renovation. Frankly, they should not be renting rooms while this is going on because it is just giving them a bad reputation. Just close the place, get it finished then reopen with panache. Oh, why don't they consult me on these matters? On the bright side: The hotel is indeed a block from the beach but it is a short cab ride from "downtown". It is in a lovely residential area of Casablalnca. We had a nice view from the balcony of our hotel room of the lighthouse and the ocean. The room was recently renovated so the room was clean. The bath was nice - a kind of sandstone on the floors and the sink top. However, the shower curtain was too long for the shower/tub so it hung down into the tub and as a result had gotten dirty and mildewy. It seems that no one has told the cleaning staff to change the shower curtains! That was grim. Also, there were pubic hairs on the floor that weren't left by me or my husband. That was gross. One thing I really loved about the hotel was the courtyard. They have had the good sense to leave the courtyard alone. It is great! It is a large tiled area with a fountain in the middle that is tiled too. Fabulous place. We loved having our wine there. Technically the bar doesn't serve wine there (I don't get it either, I just report what happened there) so we had to go up to the restaurant, buy a bottle of wine, then have the waiter at the restaurant bring it down to the courtyard. Whew! We also had our dinner in our room one night overlooking the city, lighthouse and ocean. It was very nice and the waiter, once again was happy to oblige. This young man, by the way, seems to be the only man in Casablanca who has change! So, yes, the hotel is under renovation, yes the front desk needs to be reminded that guests in the hotel are not there to annoy them, the guests provided them with work! If we don't come, they don't have a job! Yes, the cleaning staff needs to be taught that the rooms need to look like no human has ever been there - every time they clean the room! Oh, and the reviewer that said that there was a large selection on the menu???? there were only three entrees when we were there. They were fine but nothing to write home about. Perhaps they cut back during the construction period. OH, you may wonder why the menu and food is mentioned? They book the rooms with 1/2 board so you take breakfast and dinnerat the hotel. BUT having said all of that, I have to say, I kind of got into the place and ended up liking it in spite of all the problems. If they ever finish it, it is going to be a great place! I don't think I would recommend it to anyone until it is finished. AND I would somehow get a guarantee that the AC is working...

The hotel is nothing special, though rooms were neat and apparently recently renovated. The location of hotel is perfect - near Casa's beach, close to clubs and restaurants. Good 4 stars if you don't expect much

Staying at the Hotel Suisse was a pleasure. The room was large, clean, quiet and romantic for my husband and I. The breakfast and dinners were a feast with a large variety of delicious entres. Located a block from the beach with a lovely balcony view of the nearby lighthouse, we enjoyed a stroll on the sand as well as lunch on our balcony with the lighthouse in sight. We highly recommend this lovely spot.

I had read some really negative reviews about this hotel, but they didn't ring true when we arrived. The hotel is not bad at all. The only thing that struck me as odd was a strange "empty" vibe. Some of the time it felt as though the place was completely abandoned. I only really noticed tour groups and sports teams using the hotel as a starting point. Other than the courtyard on the first floor, it had a really empty feeling. The rooms were rather large, and quite comfortable. We did not have a shower in either room we stayed in, and had to make due with a bath. My only room-related complaint was that our first room overlooked some opthamology college that had guard dogs...that barked ALL NIGHT long. We had to move rooms, and the staff were accomodating. We had a real problem with taxis from the hotel (and this is not a strike against the hotel - to their credit, they were very helpful in trying to keep cab drivers from extorting us!) I would highly recommend leaving the hotel, crossing the intersection and flagging a petit taxi from there - otherwise the cab drivers insist on charging you extra. Also, get the cab drivers to let you out at the intersection by blvd de la corniche when coming back - most of them don't even want to drive into the hotel, anyway. There seems to be some shady arguments between taxi drivers and hotel staff, and unfortunately, tourists take the brunt! On the upside, the breakfast included in our stay was very substantial and good. I really recommend the harira soup - it seemed odd to eat soup for breakfast, but they make a mean harira at this hotel! (Food tip: There's a great little grocery store that makes awesome sandwiches just across the road - the hotel staff to pointed it out to us. You can choose your veggies, meats and cheeses and they fill up a generous piece of Moroccan bread with whatever you want for next to nothing! It also carries imported cookies, sweets, snacks, etc.) I would recommend this hotel to someone who isn't overly picky. Like others have said, it's newly renovated, the staff seem to try hard, and it's a decent base in a safe area of Casa.

Its hard to comment on anything else when all you can recall about a place is its amazingly terrible odour. The room reeked like dirty old socks, a smell that would not go away, and seemed to have been a feature of the room for some time. Beds and pillows were terrible, toilet and bathroom had not been cleaned although the fittings were ok. we assumed this would be a common theme throughout Morocco being our first port of call, but everywhere else we stayed was fantastic and for roughly the same price. Either there is a serious lack of decent accommodation in Casablanca or anyone who stays here is being had.

We stayed at the hotel for one night and really enjoyed it. The room and bathroom were lovely and recently renovated. Room has a balcony where we had wonderful views of the coast. Very clean in both the common areas and the rooms. Big pool on a large terrace with wonderful veiws of the ocean. Staff were nice and breakfast was buffet style. Great location for the beach and only a short cab ride to the city.
