The Ramada was not what we expected from the description on the website. While it may have been 4 star standard in the 70s or 80s, unfortunately it did not meet that expectation when we stayed there last week. The food was not good.

I chose this hotel based on the reviews I read. Every was excellent, but try to get a room in the first two floors otherwise you may not be able to take a good shower. Also you will enjoy your stay a lot more if you do not need to use the phone to call outside the hotel.

Our rooms were a little tired. They are in need of a general sprucingup. We were also surprised that there were no hairdryers (especially for the internation tourists) in the rooms and no gym/wrokout area. Overall, though, we had a wonderful stay and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Our dog was allowed to stay in the room (for a small fee), the internet was free and the atmosphere of the hotel was lively and fun. Thank you, Deanna Moniz

We had mixed feelings about his hotel mainly because the staff were often unhelpful - for instance we were not given towels and had to ask for hours before they arrived at 5pm. Other staff members were very helpful, for instance in getting us a doctor and in getting us off for an early flight -- opening the restaurant early and getting us a taxi. They have a policy of not allowing you to bring any purchased food or water into the hotel - confiscating it at the door (we learned to put it in our backpacks after an embarrasing first day when the guard at the door tried to take my water away from me that I purchased at a shop on the hotel grounds!). We were on a breakfast plan, and thought that we could eat at restaurants in the hotel at other times -- but the only option is an overpriced dinner buffet. The snack shop closed at 5 and the pool at 6. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby - so it wasn't that much of a hardship, just a lack of convenience. Based on their policy of taking away food & water - we actually made a pact to not spend any money in their restaurants so I can only comment on breakfast. It was very good - open from 4 til 11 -- with a crepe and omelet bar, as well as ample choices at the buffet. Another thing was we thought there would be a tour desk where we could book day trips -- no one was ever available at the tour desk in the hotel. When we inquired at reception we were always told "they were at lunch" -- their lunch lasted for 5 days! We found tour companies nearby and were able to make our excursions. The bottom line was we felt the hotel was lacking in service and really had no particular charm thus I would consider it a good budget choice. In general we were not big fans of Agadir - finding it lacked character compared to our travels to other areas in Morocco. If we were to do it over we would stay in Essaouira - which is an easy day trip from Agadir and worth seeing.
