We went at Easter (2007) and found that the hotel was indeed very imposing and cost us 15Eu to get there from the airport by taxi. The hotel is located a long way from the town of Agadir and is VERY exposed to the wind--so much so that the parasols, tablecloths and sometimes the tables just blew away. The nights were freezing cold and the hotel heating was never switched on, it just blew and made a noise. There was never any hot water, not even tepid. I called reception and they sent up 2 men with spanners who just dirtied the bathtowel and went away! There was a problem also with the drinks situation. The hotel prices are ENOURMOUS so we decided to visit the local supermarket (magane) which is a long way away--dont even believe the hotel when they say 15-20 minutes, get a red 'petit taxi' and if you want alcohol (which we did!) then take your passport as you wont get any at certain times without it. On that subject, the hotel did not have any draught beer although it was on their menu, the Iberostar next door did have! otherwise you will pay ?3.00 for a very small bottle of Flag special which is around 50p in the supermarket and the wine is so expensive, we only bought 1/2 bottle at the hotel on the first night. This was the only night that we had any entertainment with a 'belly dancer'.

This is my number two hotel in Agadir (where I visit 12-15 times a year on business). The hotel has a great location, right on the beach. The rooms are very nice although the hotel is starting to show its age a little. The service is excellent as are the restaurants. It has a better location than my favorite hotel, the Atlantic Palace, but the hotel is a little more run down inside. It has a very good business center with high speed internet access where you can also connect your own laptop. Certainly still worth the money, it has a great thelasso therapy center. I highly recommend it if you are wanting to spend more time on the beach. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic holidays but not hotel. The Hotel is nice but its old. There is no iron and beds are extremly uncomfortable (we got double bed made from 2 singles). From your bedroom you can hear everything whats happening on the hall and all bedrooms next to you. You can also here people having showers (soungs like rain outside) Swimming pool, restaurants, private beach just ok. Great location if you want to stay far from the city centre. Wouldnt stay in this hotel again but would love to get back to morocco.

Truely a French palace on the coast of Agadir The service was outstanding, the staff stumbled over themselves to accomodate us. The breakfast and dinner buffet (which is what you get when you pay for "all inclusive" half board) was adequate but alcohol was obviously not included and alcohol in Morocco is not cheap. The food was a combination of Moroccan and French fare with some Italian thrown in. We were here in December and it was far too cold to swim in the ocean or the pool and there wasn't a hot tub available, but we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is conveniently located so that a 30 minute walk down the beach and you are in central Agadir, where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Palais de Roses is very family-friendly.

We went to Palais des Roses on July 2007. We stayed for a fornight and had one of our best holidays yet. The hotel was fantastic and the people very friendly. The staff were wonderfull. I honestly can not say I had anything bad to say about this hotel till four days before we were due to leave and the holtel lost our laundry. Instead of helping us two members of staff were very rude and refused to help in any way regarding our missing laundry. It was a shame this happened but I can still say it is worth staying at this hotel. I hope these staff members have learned more people skills or they will take the hotel's good reputation down. Any way on the whole I do recommend Palais Des Roses as a hotel to stay.

We found the room to an acceptable standard however I would best describe these as ‘tired’. We experienced problems with noise from the room above and complained due to the constant disturbance. After one terrible night, we complained and received a ...

Palais des roses seemed like an enchanting place, until we got there. Our pre-reserved beach view was "unavailable" so when we arrived at 2 AM we had to sleep in the lobby. After 1 hour of discussion, miraculously the room was available. Hotel staff is unfortunately not honest and no service will be gotten if a) you're a women b) you don't keep on paying.

The hotel was obviously built to be a five-star establishment, unfortunately the service is barely three star. We suffered with inadequate towels...one night we didn't have towels at all to shower with. Our key cards needed to be reprogrammed every 48 hours (we stayed 14 nights). We found our room inadequately clean for our crawling baby and the crib that they tried to pass off for her was really a laundry basket. Only after four nights did they provide us with a safe bed for our baby. The pension system for meals is based on tickets which are confusing and do not include beverages. We were astounded to be presented with a checkout bill for beverages that we had already paid our servers for. They gave us a hard time to bring drinking water and food for our young children into the hotel. Do not go there. There are plenty of alternatives in Agadir.
