6 of us have just returned from 4 days at the Club Garbi in Playa de'n Bossa in Ibiza. This was an excellent choice of Hotel for us, the rooms were fab, 2 singles beds (easily pushed together ;-), had 2 wardrobes (built in), TV, Kitchenette, good sized balcony and good sized bathroom!! Very friendly and accommodating staff most of the time, some were a wee bit impatient, this did not phase us. Air con when getting ready to out is an absolute god send. There is a wee man who walks around telling you to tone down the music if it's too loud after 1am, although this did not happen to us and we partied long and hard. The attempt at an English breakfast was rubbish, there wasn't even a toast machine. But continental suited most of us fine. The dinner buffet was medium but lovely and fresh. What more could you ask for. All in all, excellent value for money, so much so, we're booked to go back on the 20th Sept. Thanks for a great holiday.

We are a couple who have stayed in hotels the world over. And we have never come across management quite like this hotel. If you enjoy being threatened physically and sworn at by the staff then this is for you. This is what happened: We are arranged for a late check out on our last day. On the last day we were phoned and told we had to leave the room. My partner explained that we had a late check out but they said there is no such thing. So she enquired whether we could stay for the day. They quoted us one price which was double the normal room rate. They said it was 'August' prices. Only we had booked in August and were already paying the August prices so it was simple a lie. They then changed the amount, lowed it, but then changed their mind and raised it to even more. When she asked for an explanation the management started shouting at her and calling her stupid. I then spoke to the individual who was then shouting at me and I asked him to refrain. He then informed me they now have no rooms available and we have to get out. We continued to pack up and five minutes later a buff looking guy comes to the door. I open it and start saying that I've never been treated so rudely. He sticks a finger in my face and says 'you get out now'. Now I'm starting to get pretty steamed and tell him where to get off - there's a limit to how much one can take. Now he starts to swear and calls us '--- customers' and to --- off. He says he will use physical force to throw us out. We threaten to call the police and he then does the same. At this point I decide enough is enough - we'll get our bags together and ignore him then simply leave. I'm not going to waste any more space commenting on this hotel other than to say that the staff are dangerous and will treat you like dirt. We are now speaking to ABTA and I would strongly advise people to avoid it at all costs.

My boyfriend and I have just returned home from two fab weeks at the Garbi. We we greeted by very helpful staff and of course Martin the most pleasant barman we have ever had the good fortune to meet. The rooms were very clean with maid service everyday this included fresh towels and toilet rolls! Air conditioning was a godsend! The pool and pool area was kept very clean and the beach was your back garden. There was a good selection of food to suit everyone, the food was well prepared and the resturant was kept clean and tidy. The entertainment team of Ann,Joey and Ruben done a wonderful job in keeping everyone entertained. Ann's gym class at 11 o'clock is definately recommended it makes you feel less quilty about eating and drinking so much!!! Also the comedy show they put on is worth watching. Overall I would reccomend the Garbi to anybody going to playa den Bossa.

My husband and I stayed here and were very pleased. The staff was helpful. Our room was clean, simply furnished, had a nice little kitchenette, a great balcony with an ocean view. They only have twin beds in this hotel - we could have pushed them together but decided not to. The pool was great - clean and big. The beach was nice - my only complaint about the beach is that the lounge chairs and umbrellas were not complimentary from the hotel, but were for rent and they were on the pricey side (especially if you don't plan on spending the day). The food was average but plentiful. We don't eat meat, and were pleased to find a fish selection every day. Not gourmet, but satisfying. The location of the hotel was great - lots of bars nearby. Garbi has its own club that is free for guests. Not the most hopping club but on one night they had a foam party and that was a blast. Other clubs were a short cab away and one club (Space) was in walking distance. All in all, I was satisfied, I recommend them, and I would stay there again.

I have just returned from a one week holiday in Ibiza. My husband and I stayed at Club Garbi and to say it was excellent would be an understatement. We were treated in a polite and friendly manner by every member of staff that we came into contact with. Our apartment was spotlessly clean and on reflection I cant find fault with any aspect of our holiday and we will definitely be returning. The meals were excellent and catered to every taste. We were totally amazed by the different foods available and everything we eat was cooked and prepared to perfection. I had a really good stay at Garbi along with 4 friends who would all agree. The value for money is amazing, (we paid 60 euro a night per double room), and it exceeds ratings on all aspects that count for an Ibiza hotel, in my opinion- ie. great loaction, totally clean, quiet, air-conditioned rooms, nice pool cleaned daily (we would see the man vaccuuming it every morning on way home from clubs!) The bilingual staff were helpful, (I never had any problems, and asked them for extra towels,to replace lost key-cards, directions, taxis, wake up calls, etc...) I agree the food average, but I was much more interested in getting out and eating at restos in vibrant ibiza town, or down the street on the lively strip near Bora Bora. The hotel is not pretending to be a North American 5* hotel...if that's what you want then you have to pay a premium. For what it is, it is excellent value, and I would highly recommend it.

I can only give the Hotel Garbi a rating of one because everything about the hotel was terrible except the wait staff. The management was rude, constantly yelling at guests, and very unhelpful. The bartenders however, were more than helpful with directions, advice on places to eat, and just being friendly. If you don't mind maids walking into your room without knocking, security guards yelling at you, a freezing cold spa, and inedible food, this is your place.

I have to say this is the most unorganised hotel i have ever stayed in my life, the night i had arrived i did not receve my room for two hours and was told i had not even booked a room although i had already payed by credit card, i did not even receve an appoligy. The lift did not work through the whole of the holiday so luggage had to be carred up and down three flights of stairs and they did not clean our room for two days. The staff through out the whole of the hotel where very unhelpfull when asked the most simple question like "could you please call me a taxi" the man just pointed out the front door and said "that way". I would not recomend anyone who wishes to be spoken to as a human being to stay in this hotel.

Clean, ideal hotel in Playa D'en Bossa. Really good value for money. Food buffet style - perfectly adequate for meat eaters and vegetarians. Great central location without being in San An. Staff polite. Nice beach and pool area with chatty bar staff willing to keep bringing you drinks all day! Great for young groups of people as well as families.
