+ Great location, friendly staff. - Breakfast is very expensive. no coffee/tea making facilities in the hotel nor a mini bar/fridge. all the rooms are different shapes and configuration. images shown on this website are the deluxe rooms, not the standard room - a little misleading. the room i stayed in had no shower curtain which was a little odd. booked two same rooms, but 1 room had a luggage rack, coffee table and chairs of which the other room did not have. also this room's bathroom was more of a wet room but no indication was given or choice when given our room.

+ Excellent location - Room was small and in the basement, very poorly ventilated and had a very unpleasant smoking odour

- The hotel is situated on a very busy strreett at night and there is not enough inssullation too prevent the noise until early hours, also when we arrived the 1st floor hallway had a very bad soure smell that got stronger each day, " makeing us all feel quight sick"

+ I really liked this hotel. my favourite in amsterdam so far. the location was perfect (it looked a lot more complicated in their directions). the hotel was very clean and the delux room was reasonable priced. didn't see the standard rooms. it was a good budget hotel in amsterdam which was exactly what we were looking for this time. - The street outside was very noisey. we had to keep the windows closed. i had asked for a smoking room but didn't get one. the double bed that i asked for was two single beds pushed together. the receptionist when we arrived could have been a bit friendlier but the the other staff were very nice.

+ The location is probably the only great feature this hotel boasts. its located between dam square and leidseplein. very easy to get to from central station. not much need to catch trams as you can walk everywhere very easily, main shopping street nearby and right next to the flower market. would think about staying there again because of this. - Where do i start?. firstly, i would not call this a 3 star hotel, i have had better service in a travelodge in england. the room felt dirty and cheap. reception staff look like they don't want to be there, and seemed unwilling to help let alone get a 'hello' in the morning. the walls were paper thin and you can hear pretty much everything the people in the next room are doing, including on the loo. it felt like a step up from a cheap hostel really. was very hot in the rooms even on the top floors, and we had 2 doors which opened instead of windows which meant we didn't feel comfortable leaving them open at night. also the shower in the room felt unclean, the shower curtain was yellow stained and filthy. all in all, way over priced for what you get. i have been to amsterdam many many times and i am still yet to find a nice place on this kind of budget. probably won't stay there again, unless the prices come down. will keep searching for something better for sure. also, breakfast way overpriced, they are having a laugh if they think anyone would be willing to pay €16 for breakfast when there are plenty of cafe's, restaraunts, off licences and bakeries nearby.

When we arrived and checked in we were upgraded to a superior double - I thought that's what I'd booked anyway(?) Room needs air conditioning or a room fan during the summer months.

+ Clean, tidy. quiet room lovely size quad room - - problems at check in with credit card machine - not being able to pay when booking. poubd went weak against euro and we ended up paying more for our trip - tea and coffee were not replenished in room. asked at reception and told we were not entitled as we had got a free upgrade (that we were not told about and did not ask for)

+ Room was clean - Dont get the basment room it gets too hot...they will offer you a non-smoking room take it you can still smoke

+ Polite, friendly staff. - Staff had accidently cancelled my booking (to mates amusement) but no issue as rooms available

+ The location was excellent. - I found the hotel room overheated, but if i opened the window it was too noisy, nlisy with window closed as well

+ The hotel is greatly situated. we were a group of 10 persons who shared 2xtriple and 1 room for four persons. the rooms are spacious and we were very comfortable despite the number of persons sharing rooms.

+ We stayed in a triple room it was big the room was well furnished the beds were like new

+ Location was very good as was every aspect of the hotel, staff etc we had a very enjoyable experience in amsterdam altogether

My g/f had a long weekend off and decided she wanted to meet me in Amsterdam. Well, after doing some searching trying to find a place to stay on short notice during peak tourist season, I came across this place. I didn't want to book a place outside of the city center, and the price was right for this place. Getting to the hotel is pretty easy. Its right on a tram line that you can get on at Centraal Station and hop off a block away from hotel. Otherwise it's a 15-20 min walk to the train station. The inside lobby was nice, and the front desk staff helpful. I had booked a room with a double, but instead we got two singles that you had to push together. Not very impressed with that. The room itself was OK, but the window opened to the busy street below. Not having A/C was somewhat of a draw back as you'd have to open the window which REALLY brought the noise in. The shower was another thing that wasn't the greatest design. The tub was in a weird corner and there were no shower curtains so water went everywhere. We stayed for four nights, but I don't think I'd go back again. The price was too high for what we got. I'd had better experiences in budget hotels/hostels than this.

Its very central to the Dam Square and the central shopping areas. Very easy to reach from Central Station on the tram. You get off at Muntplein. Hotel is located on a busy road. 3 of us shared one room facing onto the busy road. Not the best for noise and traffic. Overall hotel is very average. Facilities are too dated and for 3 stars we have stayed in better and at better value for money. Breakfast was not included on our package ( we didnt realise) and went for breakfast just 1 of the 2 mornings of our stay. What a mistake!!! Far too expensive at 14 euros each for what it was. You find far better and cheaper outside to eat. The room had stained and burns on carpets and bathroom was very basic. Smoking is permitted in public places and this meant the hotel had a awful smell of cigarettes from the reception area to the hallways of the bedroom floors. Lucky we were only there for 2 nights.

we stayed here for 3 nights in dec and it was brilliant, great location, very clean and modern and we couldnt of asked for more. .. i was slightly worried afetr what i had read on here. but i really couldnt find a fault with the place. we had a standard modern room with a big bath and television and it was extremely clean and the staff very helpful. if i was to go back again i will def be stayin here!! x

This hotel is situated in a good central location, but there is nothing about it which is remotely Grand. The reception was well presented but the rooms are very basic and the 'power' shower was appalling and wasn't even good enough to wash properly with. The lift was broken twice during a 3 night stay and the cleaners were very inconsiderate every morning having a chat outside the room early in the morning. The inclusive breakfast was cold and of limited choice but certainly wasn't a full American breakfast, I would recommend eating out if you choose to stay in this hotel. The restaurant staff were generally unhelpful and rude. The TV in the room didn't work and when asking for this to be fixed the staff could not help or offer any solution like an alternative room. The hotel is located in a busy nightlife area and the road is very noisy and busy until the early hours of the morning around 4 am if the window was open the bedroom door rattled constantly. The beds were very soft and not comfortable at all. Generally very disappointing but Amsterdam is a great place to visit.
