This place is terrible. You arrive and the reception area is very pleasent and you think you will be very happy in this hotel. Unfortunately not... The rooms just let the whole place down. The walls were dirty, there's nowwhere to put your clothes, no way of having a shower (as no bracket on the wall to put shower head in), all furniture is chipped as its made from cheap mdf wood, the painting on the wall could only be described as scary, the list goes on but dont have the time. The whole experience just wasn't what i expected at all. Within 3 hours of arriving and some lengthy and expensive phone calls i had checked out of the Abrial. 3 star accomadation.. Dont think so

Well we booked our trip to Paris with traveldepartment.ie 5months ago, and were really looking forward to the trip. We arrived in Paris and were met by our rep on arrival at the airport, she seemed very nice and once the entire group was on the coach we headed towards our hotel – Abrial. The first bad thing we noticed when we were travelling to the hotel was the area the hotel was located in; it’s very rundown and dirty. We arrived at the hotel and while waiting to be checked in, we could tell that the hotel lacked ambience and life and was old looking. We then went up to our room, it was horrible - very small, dirty and a terrible smell of must, the carpet was full of big cigarette burns and was dirty, the walls hadn’t seen a lick of paint in years. The bathroom had no shower curtain or door so every time you shower you soaked the place, and there was an electric heater located under the sink which got wet several times while showering posing the risk of electric shock. We decided to go down and see our rep, she was gone, and so when I got to reception there were 2 other couples in front of me complaining about their rooms. I expressed my disappointment to the guy at reception and he just replied “ we have no more rooms” and went on with his business. So I had no option but to ring Travel department in Dublin, they said they would get the rep to return to the hotel, so we waited and we waited and about 3hours later , she returned. At this stage there were 3 couples in the reception area waiting to speak to her all on the same issue. We brought our rep around several of the rooms to show her the disgusting state of the hotel; she just said that this is the standard in Paris and that neither travel department nor the hotel would be moving us to a different hotel and she left. I rang Travel department in Dublin again and spoke to the head rep on duty, she explained that our rep had told them that we were complaining about nothing and the rooms were fine and that they were going to do nothing to help us. We decided that we couldn’t stay in the hotel and moved ourselves and another couple 300mtrs up the road to the IBIS which is only a 2star hotel, this hotel was a 100times better that abrial and was 55euro cheaper a night. After we moved to the IBIS we did enjoy our stay in Paris but the whole experience has left us feeling very let down by the Travel Department and the Abrial Hotel.

We booked this hotel based on its location, just over a mile from Sacre Coeur, and round the corner from the nearest metro, and on its price. The parking was offered for free, and this was confirmed in the hotel´s email in response to the booking. The rooms were rather plain but clean. We were provided with twin beds despite asking for doubles, but the Abrial is not alone in doing this. Only when we came to leave were we told we would have to pay for the parking after all. Sebastien, the poor concierge whose duty it was to tell us this, accepted that the hotel had quoted free parking. He even waved the hotel copy at us which also said free parking, but said that this was a mistake and that his boss had told him to tell us that we would have to pay €45 Euros before we could leave. With a channel crossing already booked which would be very expensive to miss, we eventually paid up. Sebastien was very apologetic as we left and emphasised again it was the boss's decision, not his. This left a bad taste in our mouths as we left Paris after what had been a pleasant trip.

What a miserable place. The lobby is ugly, the staff discourteous, and the rooms are disgusting. It is in a bad part of town, unless you are looking for the red light district, and embodies the ugly side of France. Our room was dirty, smelled of smoke, we had cigarette burns on our sheets, and 3 channels came through on the 12 inch television. The best part of our trip was checking out of this dump after one night.

The Abrial Hotel is a great little place to stay. I booked flights and the hotel on the easjet website and it was very reasonable. To be fair the hotel was quite basic but the staff were very helpful and pleasant, especially a guy named Jean Baptiste. Its location was perfect, you can walk into the centre of Paris if you dont mind a bit of a treck, but there is a bus link right outside which will take you all the way to the Arch di Triumph. There is also a great little Italian resteraunt a few doors down and a great bakery down the street, perfect for croissants and crepes in the morning. In summary I would certainly recommend the Abrial, however if you have extravigant tastes this may not be the place for you.

Very disappointed with the standard of this Hotel. The bedroom was filthy. When booking we requested a travel cot for our 1 year old daughter. We did not receive it upon arrival so when we asked for the travel cot we were given a fold up camp bed??? our daughter had to sleep in our bed. We also had to take a blanket off the bed to lay on the floor as our daughter was learning to walk. The carpet had seen better days. It was disgusting. The bathroom was tiny and the bath leaked into the bedroom. The carpet was stained from the water and smelled. The safe didn't work and was not fixed while we were there. The food for breakfast was ok. The bar was very limited and only had one bottle of white wine. The location was ok. A bit far away from the city centre/attractions but very well served by the Metro(around the corner). I would not recommend this hotel

stayed in hotel abrial, beside place de clichy/brochant metro..good location as metro is very close..the hotel is good for anyone on a budget, very basic rooms, clean and comfortable beds, all facilities including continental breakfast .perfect for a few days in Paris..The staff are very friendly and there is a 24 hour bar..Most of the staff have very good English and some are fluent in Spanish, Italian and Portuguese..The hotel is central to lots of brasseries and food markets.. if you plan sightseeing around paris and dont want to waste lots of money on accomodation that you dont intend spending a lof of time in, i would recommend this hotel.

We recently returned from a 5 day trip of Paris. We bought our hotel+flight package from Last Minute for under 400 pounds !! The choice of hotel was of course decided by numerous searches in Trip Advisor........... and to tell the least we were well informed !! Hotel Abrial is just the perfect jaunt for those who want to visit the Paris for the first time and that means you view the fabulous city in the daytime and the hotel is the perfect place to enjoy the night. The hotel is very very well connected to city by the metro (Brochant metro- Line 13 is just 200 metres and Porte de Clichy- Line 13 is 700 metres away). Moreover bus 31 connects you to Arc de Triomphe in 25 minutes and bus 66 connects you to Opera in 20 minutes. The hotel is very clean and the wife was very impressed by the daily house keeping which included daily linen/towel change and daily cleaning of the rooms. We were fortunate to view all the World cup soccer quarter finals in the television provided --- although it provides 11 French channels including a music one..... but no complains in that respect. There is also a 10 Euro worth breakfast everyday from 7-10 a.m. but we strongly suggest that you should give it a miss since you would get better breakfast deals in the nearby Rue Cardinet and Avenue de Clichy where there are plenty of petit dejenue (breakfast) joints which are very good. There are also couple of good Chinese restaurants, two Pizzerias, a tasty Kurdish restaurant and also a superstore in case you want some ice creams !! The staff (we remember Oliver) are perfectly English speaking and very helpful. All in all if visiting Paris is your main motto then we strongly recommend Hotel Abrial. But if you want to dwell more on hotel luxuries.......... go to the Four Seasons or The Ritz !! As for us........... WE ARE DEFINITELY EARMARKING ABRIAL FOR OUR NEXT VISIT !!

I stayed here with my boyfriend for 3 nights just before Easter. The hotel is nice and clean, but the area of the Paris where hotel is located is not very nice looking. But I got to say...the bedroom was nice, bathroom too, most importantly, they were clean. No tea or coffee making facilities, no bar or fridge, which was a bit unfortunate, but can live with that. On the down side, on Thursday at 3am the van turned up outside collecting big trolleys full of laundry. They were loading them right outside our window for an hour and they were very loud. We couldn't sleep and when we complained the next day the staff just said they didn't understand what we were trying to say. But the guy at the reception went bright red when we questioned him about it, so obviously he knew what we were talking about. We just expected an apology for the disturbance and not denial. I wouldn't stay again, but only because I now know you can stay closer to the center for same price.

I stayed in the Abrial Hotel with my boyfriend, it was great value for money and the area was ideal for travelling to all the sights. There are so many shops and restaurants and the train station porte de clichy was 5 minutes walk, this is the station you use to go to the eiffel tower (which is only around 6 stops) and you can get the bus right outside the hotel to opera, which is the train station you use to go to disneyland paris. The hotel itself is very nice, the lobby is very modern and the little garden at the back was lovely to relax and have a drink in. The reception staff were very helpful, especially one porter in particular who always gave us directions on how to get to the places we wanted to visit and changed our currency for us. The room itself was nice and clean, however we booked a double room and the bed was 2 single beds pushed together which was quite annoying. Also for a 3*hotel there was no tea and coffee making facilities which would have been useful, other than that our room was great we had a lovely view of the little garden and had a safe to put all our valubles in. We never ate breakfast, for 10 euros we thought it was a bit expensive but there are so many little shops and a bakery across the road there was no need to eat at the hotel. Also the satellite tv is all in french, except eurosport channel. We really enjoyed our stay and will defiantely go back!

Stayed three nights , found this hotel a great base in a fantastic location, few hundred yards to nearest metro.( Brochant ) Rooms were clean and comfortable although furniture a little basic. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent! There were plenty of restaurants to choose from near by , check out Le Bistro Melrose where we had a fantastic three course meal ( with bottle of wine) for less than £ 20.00 a head. We would certainly return again and would recommend it .

Just stayed two nights at the Abrial Hotel, Paris, in the 17th arrondisement. perfectly clean, if the decor and furniture is somewhat dated and worn out. not too far front the centre and only a few minutes walk from the metro station in Bronchant, on line 13. at €74 per night, offers good value, especially as it comes with a good continental breakfast. make sure you get a room facing the back though as the building faces onto a noisy road.

Me and the boyf spent the August bank holiday 2005 here. We stayed as part of a Eurostar bargain so weren't expecting anything too flashy. However, this was the second time I'd taken a Eurostar package to Paris, and I have to say the Abrial topped my first experience. The Abrial is pretty much what you would expect from a Parisian 3 star. Relatively basic, but clean and comfortable. The staff were great and let me get on with my efforts to mangle the French language! It's not in the fanciest of areas but the metro is a short walk away and most of the main attractions are about a 10 minute train ride away. All-in-all ideal if you are after a fairly cheap n cheerful weekend break.

Abrail Hotel is a very nice and neat hotel. The staff are excellent and make you feel welcome. They are very helpfull. The location is excellent; close to all the interesting places one will like to visit. We enjoyed our stay there and we will not hesitate to recommend it to others.
