Great find, central location, clean, comfortable, awesome restaurant with award winning wine list. This place was a nice little find! Found on this site from reviews & was not disappointed. Great service, friendly staff, better than average breakfast that was also available in room.

Spent one night at Phillipe Le Bon on our way north. The hotel is wonderfully located, the staff were helpful and friendly with good English. Our room was large and clean and very quiet. Unfortunately the restaurant was booked out on the night we arrived but the menu looked excellent. Parking opposite the hotel in a private parking area which is locked at night.

Travelling as two families we used the hotel as a stopover going south. Although not cheap, the hotel offered a good standard of accomodation, reinforced by a quiet location. Booked through Inns of France, but it is possible to book directly with the hotel via its website. This is a great hotel, quiet and spacious, which isn't easy to find in France. Our family of 3 had room A2, which is a large one bedroom suite across the street from the lobby. The stairs to the room on the 3rd floor are ancient, steep stone steps, but the room is spacious and bright, with good air conditioning. We paid 165 euro for the room, which I thought was a good price for the value received. Only problem was the shower, which drained too slowly, resulting in water leaking onto the bathroom floor. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with helpful front desk staff who spoke good English. Dijon is an interesting town, and one that can be seen well on foot. We also dined at the hotel's restaurant, Les Oenophiles, which was an excellent gourmet experience. When visiting Dijon, be sure to take the local train 20 minutes south to visit the town of Beaune, and the restored 14th century Hotel Dieu...well worth the visit. Two thumbs up to the Hotel Philippe le Bon!

Good location about 10 mins walk from the centre, lovely old building, safe parking, pleasant staff and, at only €66 for a comfortable double room, exceptional value.

The hotel is very well located in a quiet street close to the city center. We stayed for one night in February in the standard room, looking at the street but still very quiet. Room were comfortable and clean, with exception of the shower curtain, which wasn't completely clean. People were very helpful and frienldy, at the phone as well as at the reception. Only small problem: the time of check out is not written, such that we did not know howlong we were allowed to stay at in the morning.

We stopped in Dijon on the way down south and were really pleased that we did. Dijon is a lovely city with winding streets and some fantastic buildings. The Hotel Philippe Le Bon was a great find. It is perfectly located only a short 5-10 minute walk to the centre of things. Was a real advantage having free car-parking, which was locked up at night for security. We had a good sized room which although didn't include any tea/coffee making facilities there was a mini-bar with some soft drinks you could purchase. Room service was excellent, and when I ordered just a coffee, it came with a selection of petit-fours which was a nice touch.

This hotel is excellent value for money. The location is very central, the parking is ideal, the staff are friendly and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast was also included and there was a great selection. Considering the price I could not find a fault with this hotel.

Situated in a quiet street a little away from the main part of the town, the hotel fits the bill perfectly for the price. The rooms are not overly spacious but they have very clean comfortable furnishings. The staff were friendly and helpful, suggesting places to visit and organising a taxi for us. The restaurant is very good, best as previously said, make a reservation. One thing of note is that there are at least 3 grades of room above "Superior"

I am sad to say that we had a miserable time at the hotel. The rooms were fine but the hotel persons were all very rude to me and my family (including 3 young children). We left early. We Americans were not welcomed.

Pleasant Hotel with nice courtyard. Fantastic restaurant. Visit the restaurant, even if you're not staying at the hotel. We stayed in Superior rooms. Didn't see the ordinary ones, but wouldn't have wanted to downgrade. However the superior rooms weren't too pricy. One room didn't have a proper shower due to sloping roof over bathroom.

Arrived late in the afternoon in Dijon armed only with our Red Michelin guide. We stopped by a few of the City's "top" hotels but they wanted over $160e plus parking. We decided to save our euro's for dinner tried a few other hotels. Dijon is a city of winding streets and found ourselves in front of the Phillipe le Bon. The rate was much lower (87e) and the room very nice. The hotel has its own parking (no charge). The hotel room while small was pleasant. The hotel is across the street from a public parking garage and our room faced the street so there was a little noise during the day, at night it was quite. Some rooms face a court yard. The hotel restaurant was great and expensive! While the food was wonderful the service was only ok, but a great experience nevertheless. The restaurant was busy so make a reservation.

This is a charming small hotel. My room was clean and comfortable except for the plastic mattrass cover. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and a good value. My evening dinner in Les Oeniphiles resaurant was outstanding.

Large, clean room but not the non-smoking room we had requested. Staff were pleasant and helpful with reasonable English. Several small irritations added up. When exiting the lift, we entered a cold and dark corridor and were unable to find light switch without the light from the lift. Our room was a little cold and the heating remained a mystery during our two-night stay. The air conditioning was, perhaps, on a timer and seemed to work with luck or randomly. The electric heating was located behind a curtain but it seemed unsafe to run this with the curtain closed so we had a choice between being exposed to the street or being cool. The fancy restaurant attached was a piece of theatre but not as expensive as we feared. However, they had no comprehension of what constitutes a vegetarian meal.
