I stayed at the Harmony Hotel for two nights whilst on a Stag weekend. If you are just after somehere to rest before hitting the town, this place is ideal. The rooms are clean, the shower is powerful, you have access to a mini bar and you'll find a cheap friendly bar next door. On the down side the decor is tired, the beds were hard, if you have a room on the front, the trams will keep you awake and the breakfast is poor. It is extremely close (5 mins walk) to the main sites. Don't expect too much from the Harmony and you won't be disappointed

Excelent location, very close to the historical center (about 7 min) and also to Florenc Bus Station (about 5 min) from where you can take the bus to Karlovy Vary, Kutna Hora etc Clean, basic but very good servicies, the staff is OK. It is ideal for people who like an excelent point to start their trips.

We checked into the Harmony without too much effort having taken the Cedaz shuttle service to the hotel (499kc with return booked for 399kc) We booked through lastminute.com without any effort but didn't really have that much time to research properly as our Internet is down and we were borrowing someone elses. We booked on the Tuesday evening and flew out Thursday afternoon. Our room was at the front of the hotel and was basic but clean. However the beds were extremely uncomfortable, very think mattress and you could feel the base. There is a tram line that runs outside of the hotel with a stop directly outside, these went from very early morning to late at night so unless you are a deep sleeper these will keep you awake. Also the soundproofing between the rooms is next to non-existent and having a noisy neighbour is very unwelcome. We felt the need to call reception to ask the people in the next room to keep it down a bit, we’d been woken by them the previous 2 nights also coming back in the early hours. When the hotel is full or nearly full there was a very long wait for a table for breakfast. Breakfast on the whole was fine, usual continental items, scrambled egg (extremely runny) and sausage (not what we Brits are used to though) on Saturday and Sunday. We made a little error in that we thought we’d booked a 4 star, but must have misread this, this is a 3 star hotel but a lower 3 star in my opinion. Its basic and clean and quite close to the start of the main area, about a 10 minute walk (turn right out of the door and keep walking!) We wouldn’t book this hotel again if we were to go back to Prague, I’m afraid I like to actually be able to sleep at night and we simply were unable to do so here.

Hotel Harmony 25th March for 3 nights. After reading some of the reviews, we were a bit wary of what we might find. Four of us booked 2 rooms, of which both were adequate and clean no complaints. The food was fine, even cooked scrambled egg, bacon and sausages, along with the normal continental type of breakfast. There may have been times when the breakfast room was full and we had to wait a few moments for a table. The only problem we encountered was the awful noise one evening from an adjoining room who seemed to have all their party in one room, and had no consideration for anyone else. Shouting and laughing way beyond an average time. Apart from this, the hotel is well situated for walking into most places. If not the tram stops exactly outside the hotel. All in all would return, in the hope that we would have a quieter time at night from selfish people. Not really the hotels fault.

Booked this hotel through the easy jet website. We went to Prague for a short break on a budget, we found that this hotel was in a decent location, about 10 mins walk to the old town square, less than 5 mins to the nearest metro station with a tram stop directly outside. We found the hotel to be basic but vey clean no compaints at all about the room or staff who were friendly. The breakfast leaves little to the imagination but there are plenty of eateries in the vacinity. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, its not the ritz but it is value for money, I would stay there again if i was to to return to Prague. P.S Local bar next door has friendly staff and beer for around 40p a pint.

This Hotel is reasonably close to the train Station about a 10 minute walk. But thats about all it has going for it. It is a very basic 3 star accommodation. Check-in was okay but I was a bit anxious when I saw all our passports just thrown on the counter to be attended to later. Our triple room was large with three proper single beds. Each bed had a doona and one pillow. There were no extra pillows or blankets available. The TV was small with a remote control that did not work. There was a fridge in the room but no tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was basic with a shower in a corner recess raised about a foot from floor level. This made getting out a bit slippery with no rails to hold on to. The windows were double glazed but it did not help the noise. It went all day and night- the trams run constantly, or there are trucks delivering things, the tram is literally metres from the Hotel. You can read the print on the papers the people are holding while waiting to catch the tram! The worst thing of all was the locking mechanism on the door, it is just an ordinary very rickety, not in good order keyed lock. We wondered about our things and opted to take all valuables with us every day! The Buffet Breakfast was the worst we have ever had. Halved or quartered hard pastries, quartered oranges, bread sliced sitting in the plastic bag it was delivered in....... stale cereal...lets just say we ate elsewhere. Even the coffee dispenser produced awlful coffee. So were there any good things - if all you want is a relatively clean dry warm place at a bargain price this might be for you. There are no luxury items here. Personally I would pay a bit more and look for something better. It was within easy walking distance of Old Town Square and the Astronomical clock so once you see that and head to the Lovely Bridge.......and see the fairyland of Prague by the river especially at night you won't mind that the Hotel is a bit slap Happy and not at all up to scratch. Keep in mind that tourists don't always get good value for money.

The hotel itself was great. It had everything you could have wanted given that it was booked on a budget and it's only a ten minute walk to the main areas - Wenceslas Square, the Old Town, etc. My only gripe was that I left some clothes in the wardrobe which were not returned to me. They told me nobody took the room after me and I know they were there but it was clear that they did not want to discuss the situation with me. It's my own fault really, but it is not nice being lied to or ignored. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anybody for what it offers, the cost and the location, just don't be as stupid as me and leave anything behind as you won't see it again.

Hotel Harmony was the perfect place to see Prague on a budget. We got our room as part of an Austrian Airlines package, and had no problems at check in or check out with the voucher. The room was a fine size with a nice big window and no problems with street noise. Downsides- Smokey halls that leaked into the room (I don't think they had a non-smoking floor, we kept a towel along the bottom of the door after the first night) and a funny shower stall that was over a foot off the ground! Upsides - really central, close to a metro stop that could take you anywhere in the city in minutes, helpful concierge who spoke good English and arranged for our 5AM cab ride to the airport. We never ate the free breakfast, but it seemed fine (no frills).

Hotel was basic but clean, although service was poor and staff were rude. Breakfast finished at 10:00 but we found that at 9:00 the buffet had started to run out and staff were extremely reluctant to replenish. When they did the food was of average quality. The location is reasonable although you will need to do quite a lot of walking. A word of warning also, the hotel locks it's doors late at night and staff are not always present to let you back in, so for all those party goers, make sure you check that there will be someone around late at night to let you gain access!

Took my father & brother-in-law on a short(3nights) break. This is an excellent , basic hotel, well-appointed & clean. Hotel restaurant great value for money & bar next door cheap with great choice of excellent beer. Would recommend for anyone on a tight budget.

This was a nice hotel. great local close to the center of town. the rooms were very clean. the breakfast was the best we had in all our trip in europe. easy booking on line thru the czech site. would gladly stay there again.

Excellent location, just a few minutes from the Municipal House. 10 min. to Old town square. The new Palladium shopping mall is on the same street. Rooms are ok, I had a room pretty big for a single room. But the furniture is very communist-looking. Decent breakfast and helpful staff, I definitely recommand this hotel for travellers on a tight budget.

Stayed here for 3 nights at end of November for a mates 40th - great location, easy walk to old town, wenceslas square and other main sites. Clean rooms with cheap-ish! mini bars, decent clean bathrooms and comfy beds. Reasonable breakfast, although it won't keep you going long, but for a coffee and toast as a start to the day - no worries. For anyone on a budget, its a great location.

I don't think I can write anything too negative because of the price we paid for it. For a trip to Prague the hotel is located in an exellent location. Your minutes from the Palladium mall, 10 mins from Old town Square and underground. The hotel was better than I expected after reading the reviews. Receptionist very helpful no problems checking in. The room itself was clean, tidy, warm and comfortable for a few nights. The beds were a bit of a let down. Very low with hard mattresses with one useless sunken pillow.There was a fridge which was useful for storing drinks etc. Couldn't get the TV to work but didn't matter didn't have time for that. The shower was very powerful and the bathroom clean and tidy. As mentioned by another reviewer the walls are very thin. I was woken in the early hours by a group of people returning on a night out and for a minute thought they were in our room as you could hear the whole conversation. Luckily we were not disturbed after the first night. I checked out the breakfast, indeed you do have to get there early as the dining area was packed and you had to wait for a table. As a vegatarian the only thing for me was bread and toast, it would have been nice to see some baked beans, fruit and yoghurt. There was bacon, egg, sausages, different breads, meats, orange or tea and coffee, perfectly acceptable. To sum up if your on a tight budget I recommended this hotel but don't expect any thrills. Prague is a beautiful city and this hotel is right in the middle of all the action.

we stayed in this hotel for 3 nights from 18th till 21st december and were impressed with the size of the suite. the rooms were clean and the restaurant was reasonably priced. what did let the hotel down was the breakfasts which were the worst we have ever had in any hotel. it was also a good 10 to 15 minute walk to either wenceslas square or old town square. there is a local bar just to the side of the hotel which was an excellent place to observe the locals and mingle with them. on the wenceslas square at the top end on the right hand side is a restaurant called CERNY BARON which is reached up an alley way and down a flight of stairs it is well worth the effort. we enjoyed a nice sparkling wine, smoked salmon and prawn starters and two wonderful chicken meals the total was only 1250kc or approx £30 as we couldnt eat a dessert we were too full. the old town square was a pleasure to see in full christmas mode complete with live donkey sheep and goat but the stalls all had the same tat on them. gloves/hats, prints of charles bridge and crystal and mulled wine. overall we love prague but would choose a more central hotel next time
