official 3 star but tour operator rated it a 4 star. id say 3 star more correct. rooms : none of the rooms have balconies but do have a sort of terrace as the hotel is built in many separate buildings (but all in the same complex). the hotel provided clothes racks to hang out towels etc to dry over night. our room was cleaned each day but the cleaner we had only swept and mopped the floor. did not seem to ever run a cloth over table or tops of furniture. the bathroom was not cleaned in the week we were there apart from floor being brushed and mopped. beds changed 3 times during the week and clean towels every day (leave them on the bathroom floor if you want them changed). however, we spoke to other guests in hotel whos rooms were imaculate and sheets and towels changed each day. our cleaner must have been a bit lazey. food: all inclusive, plenty of food available. breakfast - bread, ham cheeses cerials and each day a hot plate, boiled eggs, omlets etc. lunch and dinner - lots of salad, rice and pasta dishes and a selection of aprox 4 o 5 hot dishes. over all, food a 6 out of ten. never had a bad meal and always plenty of things we could eat. snack bar - open for aprox 2 hours in the afternoon and served burger and chips. all inclusive drinks - local beer, spirits, red wine and white wine. soft drinks served from bit bottles. there is a machine which offers some sort of powder/water juices. coffe and tea available all day. pool bar opens 1000-2300 (but some evenings closed at 2200) and beach bar open from 1000-2300 for free drinks then from 2300 till about 0200 beach bar open but you had to pay for them. hotel facilities - pool, very clean and refreshing. reception open 24 hours and do money exchange. hotel shop (by beach bar) open most of the day and night and sells the basic stuff. beach - past the pool and down about 10 steps. very very nice private beach. sun beds free and you can hire a mat from the hotel shop for a euro a day (well worth it). sea water very clean and very refreshing. facilities outside of hotel - 1 small taxi rank, and about 300 yards down the road, two or three shops selling basic stuff. local bus service to nearest town. bus stop at hotel and takes about 15 mins to turgetreis which has a nice port and lots of shops bars and places to eat. overall - hotel and area exactly what we wanted. if you want a week doing nothing but sat by pool or beach then this is the hotel for you. if you want more facilities goto bodrum but its like the blackpool of turkey! we would go back to same hotel again. good value for money, staff very friendly.

I am 14 and We booked with travel republic for our holiday from 13th august to the 27th august 2007. Upon arrival the hotel looked fabulous - all white washed buildings a nice pool and restaurant but when going to check in it just ruined it. We booked 2 rooms as there were 5 of us (4 adults 1 child) - so we tell them our deatils of who we are and all that and they tell us " we're ever so sorry but we only have conformation that you have booked 1 room. They told us it would be sorted so for the time being they put us all in 1 rom. We were happy with that to start with but when we got allocated our room we were apalled. We got put in these shabby bedsits so to speak where the workers stay - it was across a very busy main road which at night could not see where you were walking due to poor lighting. We then were further apalled as there were 3 beds and 5 of us. The next day they then put an extra bed in but we were all carmmed in 1 room. My dad then spent the whole day on the phone to travel republic (which the hotel was making us pay for) and they said they'd send the hotel conformation for the second room as soon as possible. The hotel said as soon as they get it we're able to get our second room. 2 days later they finally got the conformation (which by now had already ruined the first part of our holiday and especially for my sister as we were there for her 18th) and we were able to be moved into the main hotel with our 2 rooms whihc were ok. Just basic hotel room needs. (shower,toilet, but no kettle etc.) As for the hotel grounds and pool it was lovely - the beach was lovely but the sand got very hot which is expected the sea was perfect. During the day there is a beach bar that serves hamburgers, chips and turkish pancakes and a few shops on the beach. Soft drinks were self service form the machines (apart from lemonade, coke etc which can be purchased from the bar). The main meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) were good for the first week but the second week was exactly the same as the first week and got boring (we went out a few nights for dinner). Entertainment is good - they had pool games, volleyball and darts during the day (the pool games were funny!) and the evening entertainment was good (something every night apart from monday as its the animation teams day off). The workers are ok but don't understand much english. We were the only people (apart from 1 other family) that were english the rest were german, dutch, chezch republicans, polish, russians and the occasional american which we found hard as we were used to meeting lots of people. W went to the waterpark in Bodrum and it was a fantastic day out (recommended) - there is something for everyone there. The kids loved it. I suppose its an ok holiday but don't go if you plan on meeting people and don't book with a company that isn't well known like first choice, thomas cook etc. As for us we would not go back to this hotel and would not recommend it. P.s - travel agents and the internet say its a half an hour transfer from the airport to the hotel but that is only if your getting taxi - when on a coach with people going to different hotels it takes up to 2 and a half hours

When entering the hotel it looks fabulous, but this soon fades when the reality hits home. No one speaks English. I dont mind enjoying a holiday with people from other countries, but when you have over 200 people around you and a great number of staff where all except one waiter do not speak English it kind of ruins the idea of having a laugh and a few drinks of an evening with fellow holiday makers. We did purchase a Turkish-English dictionary as we dined with a Turk couple (lovely people) each evening, so tried to communicate that way. This hotel is certainly not designed to suit English people. Destination wise it is in the middle of nowhere. 45 min on the dalmus (local bus) to Bodrum and around 15 min to Turgetreis resort. Rooms vary. We were put into a room which looked like a staff accommodation room initally. The air con was as noisy as the entertainment outside, there were thin nets covering the door size windows that lead onto a shared balcony so people could see right into the room from outside, also the bathroom door did not close (so they could see me on the toilet too!) finally TV did not work and shower fitting fell out of the wall along with the shower ... however we did complain and were moved to a much better room with no problems, so if you end up in a dodgey room do complain there are ok ones around! Food wise medium. It really was not great athough on one night the kebab was nice! Definatley go out and experience real Turkish food. Finally beware of the guy who carries your bags afew meters to your room. He expects a tip and is really not friendly with it.

An ideal location if you need to practice your German, Dutch or Russian language skills. Definately not a hotel for meeting fellow Brits. The buffet meals always had a hot option and read Beef whenever they claim Veal, otherwise acceptable with loads of cold options. Hotel is ok, but getting a little tired, decor etc is weary and basic, with one wardrobe and two bedside tables along with the beds being it. A sea view dictates if you will benefit from the full effects of the two disco's (One from neighbouring Hotel) which will provide a background beat till 2 am, the air conditioning struggled to drown out the noise. And the poolside entertainment (background music) was hard core rap which would have been censored from the BBC. Although there are a large number of waiters in attendance, thay are there to clean and will remove plates etc as soon as it 'looks' like you've finished. Which suprised us as the bars continually ran out of cups and glasses and most drinks were served in solid plastic anyway. The sun shone and for a slob out do nothing holiday it was ok, cos if you want to do something it is miles from anywhere and most of the younger element (I'm 49) they had to catch a Dolmus into the nearest town for any nightlife. Prices on site for cigarettes etc are x2 the shop down the road and there appears to be a culture of charging captive audiences anything they like. Alied with the non existant travel company (Gold Trail) I will probably never darken Turkey's door again, especailly the Bodrum peninnsula On the bright side the room maid was very good and was the only member of staff worth a tip In conclusion never again !!!!
