Ignore the bad reviews, this hotel was great. Yes the rooms were small but air con was only £2.00 per day, which made a world of difference. Cleaners were in rooms EVERY day, made the beds, cleaned and left clean towels. Two big clean pools and plenty of sun beds. The breakfast menu was continental but included cereal, fruit, meats, cheese, bread and butter (no water so you may want to take some if that is your need in the morn) tea and coffee. Lunch menu was excellent, all freshly cooked. Buffet supper did get tedius by the end of the week, but how easy is it to cater for so many (plus different tastes and cultures) there was always something decent to eat. Not too many brits in Bodrum but we had a great time. The staff were excellent. Would go back and I don't usually want to visit the same place twice. Recommended.
i took my partner and 4 kids to the bantur naz in july, i have been all inclusive before in turkey but my partner hasnt, from my past experience i convinced him this was the way to go. little did i know that THE BANTUR NAZ wouldnt know all inclusive if it jumped up and bit em on the butt!! we were like second class citizens from the word go, our rooms were basic but this we didnt mind, but the lack of towels and toilet paper we did!! i had to go and ask for these to be provided. the food was ok and served by day by the pool area we were always asked for our id cards even though after a couple of days they knew who we were. the bar area was ok but when we went to order drinks we were told we could have beer, gin or vodka , no cocktails, baileys or any other spirits were available to us, when i asked for a staw we were told we couldnt have one as we were not paying!!!! even tho we had paid all inclusive prices to start with. at 11pm the bar was closed to all inclusive guests and we had to pay, even tho we were a little angry at this we thought we would have one last drink before heading to town ( the kids are all teenagers, we are not child neglectors, just thought i had better add that) this we paid for and without asking we had lovely glass with no chips in them and STRAWS!!! no offence to German people but they were treated completley different to us and before you think im paronoid we were out numbered 5-1!! so all in all if you are teetotal, dunt like getting showered or wiping yer butt, or infact German dont bother with the bantur naz, you,ll only be dissapointed!! oh and to cap it all there is a great big bloody dirty st bernard dog called simba that hangs round the food and scares all the kids. Enjoy peeps. ps Turkey Is lovely i have been twice before and enjoyed it, all inclusive, if you go to bodrun check out the Golden Plate Restaurant on the front, great nights to be had, say hello to Rash from me!!
Thank goodness I was able to go with an open mind! If I had only concentrated on the poor reviews we would have felt we were going to have an awful time, completely the opposite, it was brilliant. We arrived very early morning to be greeted by an English speaking receptionist who ensured our bags were carried to the room, yes there were a few steps however this was not a problem to ourselves. The room was small and extremely clean, however we were not expecting to spend any time in it except to sleep. we didn't need anything more. Breakfast was plentiful, typical Turkish continental style, well we were in Turkey! I do not understand when reviews comment that the food was not English, you are in another country, its not going to be! The pools, yes there are 2 to choose from, were clean and seen to be well maintained. We were able to get sunbeds every day without any problems, due to the Hotel only having 107 rooms and 2 pools there were plenty for everyone. Lunch was available from a menu and freshly cooked for you, this was served to you, no queing, drinks were served to you at the table and once our glass was empty they were asking if we wanted more. There was one particular waiter that always knew what we wanted! The Staff are all really helpful, always looking out to see that you have what you want, everyone from the waiters to the chef who was cooking the dishes each night. Dinner had a different dish cooked each evening out on the patio, these were very popular, with other dishes available from the hotplate. Salads were the same each night however plenty of variation to choose from. There was no entertainment in the evening, we were able to talk and enjoy the atmosphere created by the waiters and the other staff. The location was also excellent for a quiet family holiday as it was not within the main town, but close enough to walk to within 5 - 10 mins. This was downhill and would be difficult for the older traveller coming back. The views from the Hotel are excellent, looking over towards Bodrum Castle. This was overall one of my best holidays.
We visited Turkey (Bodrum) with family (Sis & bro in-law) for the first time in May for all four of us, we stopped @ the Bantur-Naz. The room @ the hotel was basic but very clean. The food was good & the staff are very friendly & polite. It was great that we didn't have to put towels on sun loungers we could get four together any time of the day even though the hotel was busy. There is a choice of two pools & they were cleaned every evening. After the evening meal we would venture into town which is 10mins away. We mainly went to Breeze bar on the front, attentive & friendly staff, especially Saleem we had a mixed meat kebab there which was delicious. Jimmy's which is close to the hotel, i suppose "Charlie" who touts for business @ Jimmys could be a pain but he has a job to do & does it well. If you tell him that you will call on the way back he is OK with that. Josef @ jimmys is a lovely & friendly guy too. On the whole we all agreed it was a fantastic holiday, would love to go back & meet up with Charlie,Josef & Saleem sometime.
We stayed at Bantur Naz Hotel for first 2 weeks in october and i'm so glad we never read the reviews first. We had the best holiday EVER. The staff were the most helpful friendly cheerful that we have ever come across. the food was basic but nice abd the rooms were immaculate. It is a fantastic base as it is central to everything but not suitable for people with walking difficulties. There were only handful of children there while we were there but that was better than having loads running wild. only the germans complained when they got splashed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and we are going back there as soon as it opens again in may and again in october. We had no problems with dodgy tummys at all. pools were very clean and waiters even brought our drinks to us in the pool!!!! definitely worth a look is Jimmys bar, fab fun friendly staff who are out to make sure you enjoy your night they have karaoke every night and sky sports so you don't miss the football!!!! See you all soon, Brenda Katie Amy xxxx
I personally witnessed the waiter and barman watering down the mayonaise and replacing it on the pool dining area tables WITH TOWN WATER!!. Added to that, thirty years drinking experience told me that the drinks were also watered down. Is it any wonder so many people fall ill there?. I do agree with most other average reviews on this page, eg clenliness of the small and tired dark rooms also the place does have great views and clean pools but because of the health worries (i was ill for two days) I and my wife would never go back to that hotel again. Regarding turkish staff in most hotels.....sure theyre great...if you tip them enough upon arrival (with the exeption of the cleaning staff who are tipped upon leaving)...if not...beware!.
We stayed at the Bantur Naz sep 06, I can say one thing and that is the rooms are always clean and the cleaners work extremely hard. Thats about the only good thing i can say. We stayed here for two weeks and ate in the hotel twice. Food was extremely basic, simple breakfast and the same evening meal every night, so a little boring. The staff were very rude they couldnt speak much English they seemed to treat English very different to how they treated the German. In the two weeks we were there i saw the pool been cleaned once and that was on the day we wre leaving, this was after a week of rain!!!! Lunch was different you chose your meal form a menue and was always very nice although the staff didnt pay much attention when you were ordering and the wrong food often came out. There was no entertainment atall so although we were all inclusive we were out everynight to find something to do. They are extremely stingy with drinks, beer is served in a half glas filled only half way, you have to pay for drinks at 11 , we even had to pay at two mins past!!! Anything such as baileys, archers etc all had to be paid for and very expensive e.g 1 x baileys = £14. Bodrum itself was lovely i would recomend it to anyone , shopping is brill, night life was good and people are really friendly. there are some beutiful restaurants and bars alot nicer than the Bantur Naz!!! Dont visit Bantur Naz if you have walking difficulties and i wouldnt advise familys with young children.
The Bantur and Naz Hotels were what we expected very basic but clean. The staff were friendly and helpful,we got by with the english. There was a lack of hot water in a morning as this was solar powered if it was a dull day water soon ran out in an evening Food was basic and a lot of the cold buffet was often recycled to the next day. Smaller quantities should have been put out and replenished when required, there was a lack of refrigeration for the cold food and as for the hot inside buffet this left a lot to be desired, food was not temperature controlled as it would be on a servery in the UK, therefore open to stomache upsets. Often the hot buffet had no heating at all and was just chilled. There was a fresh cooked buffet outside chicken on this was undercooked. There was not a problem with the all inclusive alcohol was freely available. but we did agree with others that the wine was being watered as well as other spirits. Another problem in the resturant area was the cats this was not very hygenic with them around your legs when you are trying to have a meal, also getting bitten by fleas on the lower part of the legs. But after all Bodrum was a good place to holiday. If you want the best have a meal at the Golden Plate Cafe Bar on the front food is out of this world well worth a try and cheap to back home. We went out with Kosmar never never again the worst tour operator ever with no customer service quality. Really we were more worried about the tour operator than the Hotel until we got there. Bantur Naz is in an ideal situation for the centre and the night life, beach and bars. There are some good day trips from the area. Jimmys bar is just down the road the staff are a pain in the neck always out touting for business, its get past if you can in the evenings without being stopped. The pools at the Batur Naz were clean and well kept there was no problems over loungers. We are looking forward to a return trip to Bodrum but will not use the Bantur Naz or Kosmar Tour operator again.
i have just returned from bantur naz hotel with my 16 year old daughter, the food was terrible. The waiter could not wait to take your plate from you wether you were still eating or not. They were rude and not very helpful. the rooms were the most basic that i have stayed in. no hair dryer or tv. shower flooded in to room and taps were marked the wrong way round. there was no entertainment in this hotel at all. not very family friendly. check out the "soft inclusive" before you go. i have been all inclusive on lots of occasions before but never been so limited to what you can have we ended up eating and drinking out most evenings and we were not alone. this was my first trip to turkey dont think i will be in a hurry to go back to bantur naz again.
We had an absolutely fantastic holiday in Bodrum, the Bantur naz was a cheap hotel so worth the cash. The rooms were basic, the pools an facilities were excellent, the staff were friendly but with english people there is a little bit of a communication problem... German people tend to get served first, get drinks brought to them all day without asking. If you ask, there isnt a problem though, you don't get refused any food or drink. You can have whatever you want to eat or drink all day which is really good; pizza, pasta, salad, burgers, etc in the day... but the evening food was not very good. We went literally two minutes down the road to the beach and harbour and ate out EVERY NIGHT! The restaurants are FANTASTIC,(there are loads to choose from) really cheap, they serve pretty much anything you can think of or ask for, the staff speak perfect english and are so welcoming, really chatty, and let you off if you dont have enough money, give you free drinks, etc... (they should have these guys working in the hotel!). We liked eating out even though we were all inclusive, we could chill on the beach, watch the sun go down, get served by really nice people, eat really nice food, drink what we want an pay £30 ish(for 2 people). Rather than being stuffed up in the crowded hotel resaurant with horrid food. But even if the food is OK... still treat yourself and go out, the area is lovely, for the money you might as well eat out in a lovely atmosphere. (The picture I have inserted is of the view from the restaurants) Bodrum is brill for cheap fake clothes etc, but DONT get roped into paying a lot, no matter how forceful they are! We got a pair of jeans down from 160 lira to 20! Girls be prepared to be looked at walking around in your bikini, an everyone be prepared to be dragged into shops an restaurants. You have to have a bit of confidence and know-how, and turn around and say 'NO WE'RE NOT INTERESTED!!' I would really recommend going to the bantur naz definitley, the area was great, everything accessible, we had a really good chilled out hol, hotel was nice, weather amazing... not one single regret, one of the best holidays we have had!!!
My friend and I spent a fabulous two weeks at the bantur Naz from 2nd August till the 16th. The rooms were basic but cleaned every day and towels changed every day by the nicest maid I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She was very friendly and is a credit to bantur Naz. The waiters were polite. The food was edible and the drink was more than drinkable. Also a good place to go to his Jimmy's bar which is just a two minute walk down the road, they also have a restruant as well which I cant say a bad word against the plateful you got would feed an army and the prices were fantastic. Jimmy's Bar was very friendly had karoke and sky as well. We made some good friends there and we will deffo be going back. Cant rate my holiday any higher it was fantastic.
firstly i must say bodrum is the place to party after you have drunk mr bantur naz out of house and home (im sure you must have seen him round the place with his huge st bernard ) nasty animal. the hotel was a great base to get around for exploring and partying.go for a fish bowl in the golden plate and see sammy he will look after you.you must go on a boat trip and watch the sun set its great.if you dont have problems with any funny foods you will be just fine here coz the food is very wiered and (german) and there is many of those around but beat them to the pool as we did its fun. we met some really nice people dave and rob if you ever read this im sure you will have a laugh about it. this is not the place for kids as nothing to do only get drunk and party. found the entertainment very basic but all you have to do is go to bar street for that but please wait till 11 after you have had all the free drinks that mr bantur naz will allow coz he will be watching you.and the cleaner is a star too stayed 14 th july till 21 st 2006 and would go back xx
Stayed at the hotel 1st to 8th August 2006. Staff spoke enough English to be understood. Room was basic but everything worked and it was clean and tidy. Room was cleaned and towels were changed everyday.T.V. only had Turkish programmes but thats no big deal. Food was plentiful and tasty. Staff were attentive and efficient. Drinks were available from 10am until 11pm and you could have as much as you wanted and it took only seconds to obtain. Not a lot for children to do but main town is just minutes walk away. The annoying habit of reserving sun loungers with towels is however alive and well at the hotel. All in all a pleasant experience and we would go to the Bantur Naz again
What are you guys on about.3 of my mates and myself stayed in the Bantur Naz hotel and after reading the reviews we were a bit worried, so we set off on our holiday on expecting the worst, but when we got there all was well ,actually all was very well.ok there are loads of steps (so oldies not advisable for you)but come on what more can you ask for 3 pool, drinks at a click of a finger and food (eat as much as you want) no complaints whatso ever, brilliant hotel, staff were sound and the food was 8/10. oh an one last thing how can you idiots go to another counrty and expect them to speak your language.next time just stay in your own country OK!.how about you learn their language before you set off. Met loads of nice people and mainly dutch, and you dont have to get up early for the sun loungers,we went 4 liverpool lads and has a laugh, met a scottish couple, loads of dutch birds and lads and really just a mixture, and they were lovely.jimmys bar, well what can i say just nice people all round, they dont hassle you,oh and just to prove how much of a laugh we had i will put the pics that we took on this web page, one last things, who ever has just book the holiday and has read on previous reports ,just ignore them all and read this one, have a good trip who ever goes next (wish we were still there). KAZ,ARJUN,ANDY ,AND BATTY SHAVER. eMAIL ME ON akassijaz@hotmail.com
I have just got back from from the Banthur Naz and it wasn't as bad as some of the reviews say, most of the problems that arose were because of langauge problems, they speak very little English and we speak no Turkish! The food was good but getting a drink or lunch at the bar some days was a nightmare, one day we waited over an hour for our food and was only managing to get 2-3 drinks at the bar a night and we were all inclusive which wound us up a bit. This place is ok if you are a couple I think you will like it but if you are a three forget it, you will have to share a double bed whatever your travel agent tells you!
I read reviews for this hotel on this and other sites after booking and it immediately took the shine off things. I went expecting to have a lot of problems as the reviews suggested. Well , I didnt find even one real problem! The room was basic , didnt have a balcony and the food wasnt the best in the world however everything worked in the room and the room is only your base and was perfectly clean etc. The food at breakfast is very basic ( no toast , bacon , sausage etc ) in other words it was a turkish breakfast which i suppose is to be expected seen as your in turkey. For lunch there was a good selection pizza , kebabs , burgers , omlettes salads etc and all were tasty and served quickly and friendly. Dinner was average perfectly edible but nothing amazing each night they cooked a different turkish food outside in front of you in addition to whatever food they had outside. The 2 pools were very nice and clean too. Also we found our air conditioning on when we arrived and were never asked to pay (i dont know if this was a one off error or if the hotel has stop charging). As far as entertainment goes there wasnt a whole lot on offer just music at the bar at night , however try "Jimmy's Bar" across the road the staff are friendly , drink reasonably priced , food great , pool table is free and give the karaoke a try ;) If you have kids its probrably not the best hotel in the world due to the lack of entertainment for them id say its more suited to couples young and old and groups of people. All in all id say if youve booked to go to this hotel and are at all flexible and reasonable and arnt expecting to stay at the ritz then forget the bad reviews this certainly isnt a "holiday from hell" type place its basic but pretty good overall and if you have got a good price your onto a winner!
My sister and myself stayed at this hotel towards the end of June this year. The food was lovely, the service was friendly, the staff were very nice (sorry for screaming so loudly!!) and overall we were very pleased that we chose this hotel to stay in. Our room had a lovely view and was cleaned every day. Thank you very much for making two lone ladies feel so safe and looked after!! Orla and Aoife Kirwan
just got back home from staying a week at the bantur naz hotel . all i have to say to what iv read in the reviews of the hotel is to me we had a basic but clean room which was cleaned every day, it does tell u in the brochure that if u have walkin diff this hotel would be no good for u, the staff were really friendly ok they might not speak a lot of english but dont forget ur in their country did u ever think of learning their language ,in fact i had a great holiday there and would go back there again and dont forget u only get what u pay for
We have just returned home from the bantur naz hotel we found the hotel to be very clean, the rooms are a bit basic but we had a lovely cleaner who kept everything spotless. The staff are very friendly and aim to please. We went on a all inclusive basis there was no problem with the drinks infact there was times when we had to stop them filling the glass to much, need i say my husband loved it. The food was fine evening meals was the best. I would not recomend this hotel for the younger generation or children as there is no entertainment for them, We would return to the bantur naz if we ever go back to turky.
I went to the Bantur Naz in June, I am returning in two weeks time. I had a fantastic holiday. The hotel was clean, my room was fine (I've been in worse), the staff were just fantastic, they could'nt do enough for you, very attentive and the lad who cleaned our room every day was a diamond. Sure, the food is basic, but that didn't bother me. Sure, it's one drink at a time on all-inclusive but that's only rotten if you have to wait ages at the bar each time you go up and that certainly was not a problem when I was there. I would say that it is not for kids, and there is some lively roads and bars nearby - you have been warned. Me, I loved it.
hotel has only one entrance/exit
too many steps
nothing for children to do
pool overtaken by young couples groping each other
bed and breakfast -sandbags for pillows and boiled eggs every day.
The hotel seemed nice when we arrived until we were taken to our rooms! the room smelt, the toilet rocked, the shower sprayed water all over the floor the windows never closed properly and we had a leak, we had big problems with the air con and went without for 3days,you have to pay 70 lira.we stayed in 3 different rooms.the breakfast was very basic lovely if u enjoy bread and butter, olives, cucumber, bruised apples, and boiled eggs and did i forget to mention you get 2choices of jam! the only good thing was our room was cleaned everyday and the cleaners were lovely and on 2 occasions made a heart shape on our bed with flowers.personally i would never go back there most people were german and the english people we did speak to had nothing good to say about the hotel.we did have a great holiday the resort was nice the nicest beach we went to was turgatries the beaches werent that great, shopping was good plenty things to do during the day and if you want to go somewher lively gumbet was good.try to avoid jimmys bar you'll get hasseled everyday!we went to a lovely restaurant every night called ender it was very cheap and food and staff were great!
This hotel is fine if you are German ! There were about three other English couples and a couple of Familys. The rooms are basic to say the least (after having to clime loads of stairs no matter which part of hotel you wanted ) The toilet rocked when sat on,sink was hanging off the wall, air con was not included in the price and room door was not very secure. The staff were aragant and always putting the Germans first. We were all-in and it seemed to much trouble for them to serve us with a drink ! Food was utter crap the same every meal time and again could only get one drink with the ---- they were calling "al-a-cart" nothing for kids to eat . Round the pool in the daytime music ( German ) was blasting out but kept sticking and was most annoying ! Bodrum bars and shops five mins from this hotel that was the only good thing I could say about the Bantur Naz !!
To everyone going to the Bantur Naz Hotel, if you are a whinger dont bother, if your easy going and want a great holiday in a great location then go. The hotel is what you would want from an hotel, clean safe and in a perfect location to all amenities, I went bed and breakfast and found the breakfasts were ok if you can be bothered to get up for them. If not there are lots of choices of places to go in close proximity. The staff are friendly and the hotel has a very nice feeling. I wouldnt go all inclusive here but why would you ever when there is so much choice on the doorstep. I had a great time in Bodrum and the BanturNaz but occasional noise close by at night would mean that young familys may not get the sleep they need. Great for Couples in between 18-30.
We have just returned home from an all-inclusive week at the Bantur Naz Hotel in Turkey. Our room was basic but clean ( after all you don't spend your holiday in your room! ). The staff could'nt do enough for us, they were all friendly and polite and most of them spoke reasonable english, the food was excellent but could do with a bit more choice. The hotel is situated near a road and a noisy bar but it does warn you that Bodrum is a lively town in most brochures. We would recommend this hotel to anyone, as we had a great time.
after visiting the bantur naz hotel all inclusive it was the worst holiday i have ever been on. the bar manager was the worst turkish man i have ever met we didnt realise 1 drink per person was ment by all inclusive the bar manager took the drinks of us and put them down the sink, we have never been so humiliated on holiday we found out after complaining to the rep that this hotel is not british friendly what a horrible hotel this was with damp rooms and horrible food but one good point is that the waiters could not have been more friendlythan they were.
We tried two rooms. Both were dark, mouldy and smelly. They were not very clean and in a poor state of repair. For example, the electric socket was hanging off the wall in the bathroom and we bought shoes to wear in the shower. The bed covers were dirty and smelly and the towels were grey and ripped. The door to the room was not secure and would have opened with a push. There were many more faults with the room including the view of a building site, a deafening main road, a noisy taxi stand and an all night karaoke bar with bad singing too! The breakfast was basic and not very appetising. There are steep steps everywhere which are not mentioned in the brochure. The hotel staff spoke little english. The Goldtrail reps were useless. It was the worst holiday we have ever had. I wouldn't give the place one star.
