The hotel is situated directly under the flight path - Antalya being a busy airport, the flights were approximately every 10 minutes and obviously extremely noisy! The hotel is not 4* - I would rate it nearer 2*, however the service is very good. The rooms are cleaned daily with new towels. Aircon in the bedrooms, though it doesn't seem to be working anywhere else in the building. Turkish bath is excellent. No entertainment in the evening and not much to do. Only one bar open in the evenings outside. Limited facilities.

just got back from a week at the lara hotel we arrived at 1430 in the afternoon after a short taxi ride from antalya. first impresions were good and it just got better. the reception service was efficient ,the porter took our cases on the lift to our room on the 4th floor,the room was of a large size and had a large bathroom with the biggest mirror i have seen in a turkey hotel,all tiled wall to cealing and very clean with a bath and shower with sliding doors. the furnishing was dark oak very nice indeed,also t/v with sat. and very comfortable double bed. now on to the view from the balcony breathtaking is not the word it is magic to say the least. clear blue sky and sea as far as your eye can see and the antalya mountains on the horison. the hotel has a large foyer with big t/v and lots of leather sofas with lots of windows,a large patio area and pool with bar and plenty of sun beds. a small private beach can be reached by going down a lot of steps,we did not venture but just stayed round the pool the views are spectacular. food at lara was very good and varied plenty for everyone and fresh no left overs,and salads to die for if you like that sort of thing,we never ate out so i think that tells you how good it was and we are particular about our food. no noise at night from hotel but you are close to the airport so you get the planes flying over but you get use to it. antalya city is a 15 minute bus ride and cost about £1 for 2 of us. you can get taxi right outside for£6.not to bad we did it a couple of times late at night when out in antalya. the water falls are just along from the hotel and well worth a visit.other people have to pay to see them by boat trips. lara is a small resort with a few decent restraunts shops. but if you are going out it better to venture into antalya and experience the little bars and bazzars.dont forget to try the kababs lovely.shop around as drink prices for efes go from £1.to £2. clothes still cheap as is the food. we have been going to turkey for the past nine years, but i have to say this hotel goes in my book as one of the best we have stayed in.you also get a fridge,a god send. just one more thing it must be the first a/c that has worked it was great on the hot days.which the week we went was every day. anyway if you go here you wont be dissapointed have a great time john&jackie jenkin surrey. ps sorry i have not posted any photos but if you look up the hotel website it is just like they say.
