I was there at the end of February. it's around 30 KM from the centre of Casablanca, it was too far, I didn'y find thing to drive me to the city centre except a large taxi, and i have to request it from the hotel concierge 15 minutes before the time i want . the hotel is overlooking the ocean, I think it could be a nice view if the weather is good, but when I was there it was sunny but I didn't see the ocean clearly, the hotel furniture is modern in the rooms and ultra modern in the lobby and it's in a good condition. staff are friendly, there was no amenities in the rooms, it's like a furnished appartment. they have nice Statues in front of the dining restaurant, and the view between the hotel and the ocean is a small farm, I saw cows and sheeps. there's no business centre, and I coudn't able to have access for the internet from the room, there is no LAN or wireless connection, but they allowed me to use a computer in the reception desk at the lobby. there's no shopping area near by, I liked the theme of the hotel but the distance between it and the city centre was too much.

I think the review rating this hotel as 'fantastic' must have been written by the hotel itself as a promotion. There is NO beach near the hotel! The sea is close (400 m), but it is not accessible - the sea front is pebbly and used as a rubbish tip. Our intial room stank - really stank - of drains (as, incidentally, did the reception), the next room much smaller and peeling paper on ceiling in bathroom. Water was dirty yellow colour (old pipes?). Gym was a joke and a health and safety nightmare - three bits of cardio (two of which were out of action)... BUT the entire gym was virtually unusable as the floor was so highly waxed it was as slippy as an ice rink. I tried standing on some stones which had been laid as ornaments by the side of the gym to do some squats, but gave up frustrated. Very dangerous. Reception staff not helpful - no information about the hotel provided upon arrival and we did not realise until the thrid day there that there was a pool on the roof (which was too cold to use). This is not a five star - I promise you. I have had a better hotel experience in two stars. Go somewhere else - a proper five star, please or you will be disappointed. This is a shabby hotel for it's price bracket

A very unexpected delight. We were only in Casablance for the weekend and decided it would be nice to be close to the beach. The hotel was very good value for money and beautiful. The rooms are tastefully decorated and great bathroom. The view from the bedroom was spectacular.

We stayed at Hotel des Arts 2 nights in the end of April. The hotel premises were quite nice, artisty, and in very good shape (new, modern, fancy). Yet the service was not exactly what I would be expecting from a 5 star accomodation. Long waiting times for getting the room, paying the bill and being showed to the table. Very few people spoke English, yet those who did, were very helpful arranging taxi drives etc.! The Spa was lovely and inexpensive. The service was very good there. Do not go if you want the buzz of Casablanca (and do not wish to pay 50EUR for a round trip back and forth). This place is in the middle of nowhere, in a slightly messy, rural (but safe) neighbourhood - but if you enjoy walks on rocky beach just by yourself and very few locals - I think it still is one of the best options in Casablanca.

The Tulip Des Arts is miles away from the city centre and it costs a fortune to get to the city by taxi. Also it is 1 hour from the airport to the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel needs to have another restaurant. There is only one restaurant. Their breakfast was good but their kitchen staff weren't able to cope with the guests during breakfast. The coffee & food kept finishing and wasn't being replaced in time. Most of the guests were getting irritated. I suggest they keep a time slot for each room for breakfast, that way they can keep up. The spa and pool were excellent, and good value for money. Room and bathroom was very good. Staff were helpful.

At least 35 km from the center. The hotel is nice, very design, but the service is poor. No explanation about anything at all when we arrived. Someone showed us the room only after that we were asking for it, no explanation about breakfast, welness center or anything else. Also in the room hardly any information. But I have to admit that there was a taxi strike, and they arranged a shuttle for us in the morning that was on time. The restaurant was Fawlty Towers. 5 tables in the restaurant were taken, and NO one received what he had asked for. For the first course, my husband received something else, they were asking if we still wanted a desert, but they had forgotten to serve the main course, and it was like this at ALL tables...I travel a lot for my job, but this I have never seen before, not even in a 3 star hotel.

We arrived at night after a long and exhausting trip and a very long and expensive taxi ride from the airport (about 500dirham). It took the guy at the door very long to realize that it would be a good idea to carry the girl's suitcases at least to the hall. After checking in the same guy went ahead, with no suitcases, and showed us a suite giving us the feeling that it was ours. Only later this night we came to realize that this was the far more expensive choice of room in this hotel. After changing rooms twice we finally got our apartment which seemed nice, it even had a nice open fire place. Waking up in the morning was a pleasure. Due to the leveled layout of the apartment, the bed was on a higher level, we could overlook the ocean. Of course the first thing we wanted to do was to go to Casablanca to see the old Medina etc. but getting there turned out to be a big problem. The hotel is situated about 20km south of Casablanca on the way to El Haddida and it seemed the only way to get to the city was to rent one of the Receptionists "Cousins" tourist vans. Since we were a group this was ok for us but if you are travelling alone or with your partner it is not very convenient...To get back to the hotel we usually took taxis, if we wanted to separate from the group which cost us about 150-200dirham. If you visit this hotel in summertime and you dont care about visiting the city i am sure this hotel is not such a bad choice, it has a nice pool on the roof and a very nice garden. Also the rooms seem very nice. The kitchen in the apartment is very well equipped the bathrooms though are veeery small and uncomfortable. Concerning the personal and the service i have a lot of complaints. It happened quite often that we called the reception for something and NEVER got it. Such as wood for the fireplace or a price list for the laundry...doesnt seem very hard to accomplish this. The receptionist also told us that here is no wireless internet in the hotel until finally we found out that there is a router in the restaurant for the guests to use. Every single time we ordered something in the restaurant we got wrong dishes, even though we had people in the group that spoke French, Spanish,... There is nothing included in the price you pay for a room in this hotel, such as indoor swimming pool or sauna (quite expensive), which i think is not normal for a five star hotel. Overall: The hotel is nice but has really bad service and is located too far away from the city. Additional services are too expensive.

this is a dive, don't waste your time contemplating this hotel.
