A superb hotel, in an excelllent location on the main beach strip. The hotel itself is modern and extremely clean. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay a wonderful experience. The food was superb at all times, with plenty of choice and varierty. They had themed evenings such as Morroccan delicacies, chinese, italian etc.. So catered for all. The salad bar was gorgeous with fresh breads everyday, and loads of fruit and deserts. The snack bar had the usual burgers, pizzas, crepes etc and was ideal for the kids or a bit of a bite in the afternoon. Plenty of beds around the pool, and on the beach too. Lots of poolside entertainment and activities throughout the day, and evening entertainement every night. Our room was superb. It was huge and had a private terrance with a sea view. It was cleaned thouroughly everyday with fresh towels and bedding. Fresh towels for the pool were available everyday also. The only downside to the hotel is the main language spoken is French. 80% of all activities and announcements are in french although they did make efforts to translate some into english. The evening shows again were predominantly french spoken. The kids club again was mainly french speaking. If this would not bother you then I totally recommend this hotel. It was great for all ages. There was 14 of us in my party and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would deffinately go again, and in fact I wish I was still there now.

this is a 3 star hotel at best, sorry but thats what we thought as did many others, the new owners of the hotel De Cameron are trying hard to make it better though. The reception is beautiful but we got given the key to 209 (as did many other couples) this room was close to the pool/entertainment area, was dark & worst of all it stank of pee ! we got moved to a duplex in the non refurb bit, it seemed very basic despite being sea front, and when the plumbing started to play up we got moved again to room 360, this room was much better but dont expect the trimmings with a 4 star, no tea/coffee / room service / bathroom freebies. The food was very good, & saved us transferring next door to the new Atlas which i might add definately does have the makings of a 5 star when they sort the kitchens (food poisoning) out. So the Takoukt has a french tour company Lookea based there, they are a bunch of kids prob more suited to a kids holiday camp or butlins, they are very noisy & to be honest the only place they can be avoided is on the beach! there is entertainment/cabaret show every night and i think the whole of agadir hears it! basically if you are looking for peace and quiet this most definately isnt the right hotel. Dont bother sending postcards from Agadir, they take at least 3 weeks. we flew thomson from bristol, short flight but leg room is most definately for "hobbits" the coach trip is only 30 mins, weather was iffy in our second week, there is a sea mist which rolls in & unlike other places it doesnt go away.There isnt so much to do here the tour excursions are very expensive - we were told by everyone not to go to marakesh, its a very long drive for starters. We did do a bit of shopping but its not as cheap as you think and haggling is very tiring if your not in the mood.as a bad back sufferer the beds are like rock i have never been so glad to see my tempur bed at home ! glad we went but wouldnt go back..

We stayed hear for just 1 week being English but living in france, we knew it would be all French speaking so not bothered with that but as I dont speak a great deal of French did feel a littel left out. The hotel is lovley the food fantastic, but our room was rubbish it was at the back on e of the older rooms 543 if they offer you this room say no, it overlooked the new building of a hotel and that is what the problem was at 6 every morning the workmen arrived at 7 they started work right outside, you could not open the windows or have the curtaines ipen as they would look in or your would get the terrable noice, we asked if we could change our room but were told no as this is what Look Vouyages have booked they are substandard rooms, we were not told that this building work was going on also along the back of the hotel on the beach so no privet beach either, it is not the fault of the hotel at all, I would reccomend this hotel but not that room realy they should not be using it, it was very dated as well, I think the rest of the hotel has been updated but they seem to have left this block for some reason, other then that weather great people lovley. Howeve if you do go to Agadir souk you have to be prepared to be agresive buying I feel that any Morrocan will try and rip you off if you let them, its in their nature that is all, so be like it back thye like it, be aware of people saying they are official guids or security for the souk all rubbish, just keep an eye on your bag and just dont look at anyhting, unless you want to buy it if you look they think you want to buy. If youa re going the children realy need pens biros stello in French please take loads and give them out, they all have to go to school but are very poor, I didnt know this and wished I did. Other then that is says what it does on the tine hot good foor nice beaches? and good pool would not go for 2 weeks though, we found 1 week was enough not a great deal to do. The horse riding was rubbish, dont book tours in the hotel they are a lot more money there are loads of privet tour companies on the outside we went and it was cheeper and good

The Tafoukt Beach is one of the older hotels in Agadir. Recently remodeled and restored, it is a mostly pleasant establishment with an acceptable location and good amenities. The room had a very firm bed and each room seems to have at least a small balcony with tables and chairs. The bath had a funny ¼ length door that allows the floor to get very wet. Otherwise the bathroom was clean with the toilet in a separate ante-room. We stayed in one of the annexes away from the hotel proper. This is just as well as the main hotel lobby is cavernous and I would suspect would be a bit noisy given that all the wall and floor surfaces are stone, tile or concrete. Within the hotel proper there are two salons. One salon has table and chairs (and a large screen TV) the other in the Moroccan fashion with ‘poofs’ and low coffee tables. We made good use of these rooms when playing games in the evening; bar services is available and there can be numerous families sharing the facilities. On that note, families with small children could probably stay in the hotel and never venture much further than the McDonalds 100M down the boardwalk. The pool is clean, the private beach area well cared for and the grounds carefully scrubbed by the denizens of cleaning staff. Because Tafoukt is on hotel row, the area is safe and well patrolled with private security and national police services. More adventurous individuals can head into the Agadir souk to trying their hand at bargaining or take one of the many privately run tours into southern Morocco. Unless you are fluent in French or German, be sure to clearly specify that you want an English tour. We took half board at the hotel and enjoyed a good breakfast each day that included fresh fruit, juice, omelets and excellent French and Moroccan bread. We never ate at the hotel for supper but the few times that I was in the dining room, the buffet seemed to be ample with a good variety of French and Moroccan dishes. There are restaurants close to the Tafoukt but as a general rule, avoid the ones catering to tourists. Instead, you are advised to head north toward the harbor or into Agadir proper for better choice and value in eating establishments. My cautions about the Tafoukt are two-fold, language and the last minute squeeze. The hotel’s prime clientele are French, German, Belgium and Dutch nationals. If you don’t speak any of these languages, hotel services are more difficult but not impossible. Minutes before boarding the bus for the airport, the hotel surprised us with a fee for my son’s unused hotel safe. It seemed that you needed to declare to the desk at the start of the visit whether or not you want the insurance. A lack of declaration means that you are obliged to pay the fee. With the bus honking its horn and our luggage packed, I was not going to quibble over the equivalent of 11 EUR, but it did leave a bad taste in my mouth on an otherwise excellent vacation
