We were relieved to be transferred here after one night at the Tivoli!! The Odyssee Park is well situated for the beach, restaurants etc. The hotel is very well decorated with character and the hygiene standards were excellent. The rooms are bright and airy, the bathroom was spacious and clean. The breakfast was nice with a good selection, we only ate one meal in (as we wanted to experience the restaurants) which was very nice. We picked the Moroccan night and it was lovely. The staff were all fine with the exception of the bar staff who were not so friendly/helpful. My only criticism would be that if you aren't all inclusive you cannot buy any snack lunch. There is only barbecue meat and chips but no salad which was pricey. All in all - very satisfied...

we have just spent a delightful weeks stay at the odyssee park hotel and would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a clean place with good food and excellent staff. the rooms are bigger than average and the bathrooms are great for women who want space to do their hair and put on make-up. there is even a hair dryer. the hotel has beautiful well tended gardens and it is lovely to wake up to the sound of bird song each morning. the pool is good and nice to relax by. odyssee park is close to the resort centre and within easy walking distance to the beach. our previous hotel was cancelled 3 days prior to leaving the uk due to building work so we were very anxious about where we were going to be staying but were pleasantly surprised by the odyssee park and will definitely use again. pauline and les tamworh staffs

We've just arrived back from a week's stay at the Odysee Park, all-inclusive. When reading this review you should remember that we visited in January, which is about as off-peak as you can get, and not everything may apply in the height of the season. There were three of us in our party, Mum and Dad (50s & 60s) and Daughter (28) On our arrival we were greeted warmly in reception with a glass of 'Moroccan Whisky' (mint tea) After handing over our passports one of the reception staff noticed that it was our daughter's birthday : he vanished into a back room and re-appeared with a single red rose, which he duly presented to her. You can't get a better start to a holiday than that. One person has commented that the hotel was dark and gloomy. The atrium style reception did look a bit dingy on the day we arrived as there was no sun, but for the rest of the stay we were able to admire it's lofty elegance. The corridors ARE dark, but that's because the Moroccans are very much into energy-saving and there are time switches on every corridor and stairway. We didn't find it a problem. The rooms were tastfully decorated and spotless, with comfortable beds. As commented on earlier the majority of the guests were German, but there were probably half a dozen nationalities in all, which gave the hotel a wonderful international feel. The food reflected this – we personally would have liked more Morrocan fare. The criticisms of luke warm food are partially justified. We discovered that if we didn't go into the resturaunt at the beginning of a service the hotplates did not do a very good job, so the lesson is - get in early. We were amused at the early-morning jockying for pool-side positions by the Germans. In true Brit style we sauntered out after breakfast and were always able to get loungers where we wanted them, possibly because of a good tip on the first day to the famous pool-man, Abdul, who has turned a menial job into a branch of entertainment. The staff generally were very friendly and welcoming - we must mention Walid in particular, who became a real friend. Overall we think we were lucky to have chosen this hotel. We had a wonderful holiday in Agadir, and would recommend the Odysee Park to anyone who just wants to chill out in the hot Morrocan sun.

The location of this hotel, apart from the busy road outside is brilliant. You are literally minutes from the seafront on foot and a whole array of shops and restaurants. Howeer, be warned the hotel switches off its air conditioning on the 1st November every year, and will not switch it back on, despite requests from our Thomas Cook agent. Also there is no fridge/mini bar in the hotel. If you are thinking of going all inclusive, think again....we thought the food was edible, but not briliant - there are some excellent restaurants along the sea front and in town where you can have a slap up meal for the 2 of you including drinks for around £15.00 (between the pair of you!). Whilst there is not a lot to see in Agadir itself, it's a good introduction to Morocco especially if you take the 2 day coach trip offered by your tour operator to Marrakesh and Ouessoira. This has now wetted our appetite to come back. The actual hotel staff were all friendly the rooms could have been a little cleaner. Everyone we met in Agadir was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Try the restaurant on the sea front called La Fiore - the lamp chops are excellent.

We stayed for a week with another couple, and we all enjoyed our stay. I can not think of any negatives about the hotel, just a couple of times drinks barman got a bit confused at pool bar, but apart from that nothing major. We found majority of staff friendly, from reception to the cleaner. The pool man was a good laugh, & we enjoyed being entertained by the man on the keyboard in the bar (sorry bad with names!!). We stayed on ground floor overlooking pool, room was fine considering the money we paid for the all inclusive week. Food was fine, I was the only one in our group that could not eat most of the dishes as I have to watch what I eat, but the others were more than happy with the choice. I think the only downside of the week because we did not want to do trips was that there is not much to see in Agidir. We did the Train ride, but the Bird Walk was well worth it. We will return to the Odyssee, but for a fortnight,so we can do some trips to see more of Morocco.

We stayed at the hotel the last two weeks in August and booked a family room and a normal size room. The family rooms air con was no use and they look over the busiest main road in Agadir - non stop horn tooting so was impossible to open the window. Despite this the hotel staff would have put us in a smaller room overlooking the pool but would have been really cramped with 4 in a room. This was the only problem in the hotel. We were all inclusive and the food was great plenty of choice always fresh, but the food out and around in Agadir is so cheap (watch out for the 'dry' restaurants) and we didnt get bothered as they can see the all inclusive bands. The reception staff were on the whole ok but we got told off for vacating at 12.05 and tried to get a late dep fee out of us. Entertainment almost non existent apart from the infamous Abdul and a piano player. If you are looking for a good beach holiday DONT BOTHER as lots of Mr Hankies floating in the sea. The hotel itself was wonderful ultra clean and hygenic. I personally wouldnt go back to Morrocco with children (9,12, 16,16) as there isn't enough variety.

we arrived at the odyssee park around 7 pm and were pleasently surprised by the warm greeting we received from the hotel staff who couldnt do enough for us the hotel room was very clean and air conditioned which was needed the food was so so but edible the pool man ABDUL would always oblige you with getting chairs around the pool area and placing them whereever you wanted them he was a scream with his antics the only critism we would have is the amount of germans and french which seem to gather at this hotel hence the catering was not for the english people would like to have had some english food but hey thats what holidays are all about isnt it would recommend the odyssee to anyone going to agadir definitely the place to go for peace and quiet and to soak up the sun great excursion to do is touradant temperature reached 49 c whilst we were there but worth it kim and pete dormer aug 30 2006

Having read mixed reviews for this hotel I went with an open mind and was ready to face what ever was coming, however from the moment I walked into the reception I knew most of what I had read was wrong. The Reception staff were friendly and couldnt do enough to help ( as with all of the staff ) and the hotel was spotless. The food was always good and plenty of choice, I didn't eat the same thing twice! Prices in the bar where steep but with ample bars a stones throw away it wasn't a problem. We had maid service daily with clean towels and bedding every day. A lovely hotel and I would recommend to everyone.

After a realy bad week in Marrakech we stayed at the Odysse for a week,originally half board we paid to upgrade to all inclusive best thing we could have done without a doubt, the Reception staff should not be retrained they should be sacked surley, bad mannered and dont have a clue how to bill guests as we were under charged then over charged then at 2315 i was summoned to the reception to be given 500dh back that i had been overcharged i am sure i would have been just as happy tro get my cash back the next day, the room was small, sparce and only two english channels both news on a loop, same thing every hour only changed every 24 hours, the hotel seems to be geared for French and Gemans this is reflected in the food and the language, as my wife and i speake some German we got by with the staff and some of the guests, most people have refered to THE POOL GUY, this is no ordinary pool guy this is ABDUL he is without a doubt Mr Odyssee, nothing is to much trouble for him, if he cant get you what you need he will know someone that can, he has the utmost respct for the guests and his job he will entertain you and your children, dont be upset if he is a little tactile or a little ereverent it is just his way, if we were to return to the hotel and Abdul was not there we would be really upset as he made the pool and snack area the place you want to be, i dont think we will be retuning to Morocco but if we did i would use this hotel again, avioding contact with the recption staff and just hanging out with the man the one and only Mr Odyssee Abdul, There are fantastic gardens they were all in bloom when we were there so if they are not in bloom when you visit you will miss out on some stunning sights,we got the delly belly in Marrakech and could not get rid of it but this did not spoil our week in agadir dont take immodium as it will only block you up and make you feel worse just work around it and all will be fine most people get it try to avoid dairy proucts drink only bottled water ( sealed caps )and if you are not used to spices the food is spiced but not in a hot or unpleasant way so take care, it is a place to relax and top up your tan, for French German and older people, there is not a lot to do and the trips are seasonal even though you are not told this there are boat trips with no boat involved and the waterfall trip is only good in winter months as the falls dry up for summer, we had a nice relaxing time helped by Abdul you will have to make up your own minds, a lot of the books given by Thomas Cook were out of date and the infomatiom wrong so do your homework befor you sign on the dotted line.

my wife and i have just returned from morocco, stayed at the Odyssee Park and had a cheap and thoroughly enjoyable holiday. On the whole staff were friendly and helpful, rooms very clean, food excellent, suited to older guests i think, go with a open mind, take into account the different cultures and even us brits can have a good time, the french and germans were polite saying good morning. weather was fantastic, pool great, gardens beautiful, beer cold, could not ask for more. Seriously considering booking up again in September.

Have just returned from a week stay in Morocco using this hotel as a base for exploring Agadir & also a two day trip to Marrakesh. Found the hotel and rooms very good. Had no problems with the staff, they were very friendly. Most notably the bar and pool staff. The reception staff were very good and if they didnt speak English they managed to find someone who could. Found the food and entertainment abit basic at the hotel. There are better places to eat within 10 minutes walk and at a fraction of the price. The entertainment was much as the guide book said it would be, very hotel and bar based but as we were out and about most of the time we were tending to eat late and crash maybe after a drink or two in the bar. Incidently the guide book also said the same of Agadir, souless but a good place to explore from, definately not the real Morocco. Generally I would agree with this. Value for money? Yes good value. Would we go back? A definate yes but would probably only go bed and breakfast and eat out for the other meals. Overall: If your looking for a beach or pool holiday then I would say you can easily better this but if you want a good place to explore from then you can't fault this at all.

Despite what others have written previously my wife and I spent a wonderful week at this hotel. The staff are exceptonally friendly, the food is first class and the rooms are very clean and comfertable. No problems with service, sunbeds by the pool and all other ameneties such as the sauna and jacuzzi. We could not fault this hotel at all and will more than likely go back again. If you do go say hello to Mustapha in the bar, such a friendly person always willing to help.

We are two well travelled holiday makers and can't say we liked this hotel very much. We went with First Choice - fully inclusive. It completely lacked any atmosphere and was very dark and dingy. It was further away from the beach than we thought and the only way was down a slope. The gardens were lovely, but who uses them 'don't walk on the grass notices and very few seats. Outside pool area and snack bar very nice and pool staff and waiters very helpful. The worst part was the evenings and there was nowhere to sit only in the Piano Bar but that was so smoky that you couln't even see the barman or piano player, and it was full of German people, so no one to talk to. If you wanted anywhere else to sit it was in Reception which was drafty and no really comfy seating and too dark to read. It rained quite a bit while we were there but nothing to do, only watch World News on TV all day. Having said all that the food was quite good, with lots of salads and a barbeque every day at lunch time and lots of fresh vegetables. Found the trips organised by the reps very expensive and it was better to book up outside the hotel. Dont go here if you are not a smoker and take lots of books. We would not go to this hotel again.

Having been advised by first choice that this was an excellant hotel,we were happy to book .Sadly,we were soon to find out that we were mistaken,first impressions were good the hotel itself is very pleasent,good sized clean rooms,reasonable pool area etc. The food was a little bit hard to enjoy,if you like pasta you would be ok as it is available at lunch and dinner everyday,I would also say it is more suited to french and german tastes as the influences come from their cuisines,the best evenings were an italian night and the one morrocan night.Breakfast was omlettes,fried eggs,boiled eggs,bread and continental style stuff(for me breakfast was the best meal of the day)Also the food was never more than luke warm... The thing that ruined the hotel for us ,was the attitudes of the reception staff(with the exception of one who was lovely)they seriously need to be re-trained in customer services,they were ignorant,used the language barrier to suit their needs,if you were waiting to speak to them they carried on as if you were not there.we have never felt so uncomfortable and upset by the way they treated us,all the other english who were there the same time as us felt the same,it seemed such a shock to be treated with such distai in this enviroment,the last day was the final nail in the coffin,when they would not give us a suitable late-check out having paid a fee we expected a time suitable as previous people had told us they got,we eventually got a decent check out ,as we were in our room in the afternoon we recieved persistant phone calls from reception telling us we must hand in our all inclusive wristbands at 4pm even though we should have had dinner that evening and refreshments ,as we had already missed out on our first night as we did not arrive until 1 am,but no amount of arguments would make them change their minds.It sounds petty but all these arguments what we,and others,had spoilt our last day and tarnished our holiday.I ALWAYS READ THESE REVIEWS AND THINK MOANING SO AND SOS ,but please be aware there is a lot to be learned at this hotel!

On arrival at the hotel we were impressed with the decor and overall cleanliness. The hotel seemed very dark as they keep the lights turned off to save energy so you have to turn the lights on yourself when walking round, this was the same in most places in morocco. The room (number 423) was cleaned every day with fresh towels etc We had a lovely view of the pool and gardens which was south facing so we had the sun shining in the room - very nice! We stayed half board which meant we had 2 meals a day. At our welcome meeting we asked the rep if we were able to choose which 2 meals per day we could have, she said there wasn't a problem. When we asked at the hotel reception, we were told that as half board guests we were not able to swap and were entitled to breakfast and dinner only. This was quite frustrating as one trip we'd paid for was the Berber night wich included dinner, we thought at least the hotel would let us swap for this day as we wouldn't be at the hotel for dinner that evening. We spoke with the rep, after she'd spoken with the hotel, we were told we could have lunch instead of dinner on our departure day only (Not the day we went on the trip). When the departure day came, the reception staff were again adamant that we couldn't do this and we had to go back to the rep to resolve the situation, (not a nice ending to an otherwise enjoyable holiday) There is a basic gym at the hotel, bike and treadmill and a few weights, so on a rainy day it was good to have something to do. We were in morrocco during Eid, so everything was shut on wednesday 10th Jan, including the gym at the hotel. The food is ok, not a huge amount of choice - not much for vegetarians or fussy eaters (no chips or anything like that) We tended to stick to salad and fish. Hotel bar is expensive so we tended to drink in the surrounding bars (we found a very good english pub with a pool table and sky sports just down the road from the back entrance of the hotel)The pool is clean and the pool guy is very good at his job, bringing a mattress for your sunbed and making sure your sunbeds stay in the sun if you leave them unattended. The public beach is ok but quite littered, if you want, you can get a ticket from reception to gain access to a private part of the beach with sunbeds. We went on the 6th jan for 1 week and had 3 days of very nice hot sunshine, in the evening it did get cold. Prepare to be impressed by the morrocan keyboard player/"singer" in the hotel bar at night. The german guests seemed to like him! Some staff at the hotel were friendly, some seemed grumpy, we didn't seem to take much notice, and didn't tip at all in the hotel. I wouldn't return to morocco, I felt that I was getting a lot of unwelcome attention when I went out wearing a vest t-shirt as some locals take offence. Overall though, we both had a fun holiday and it was nice to get a bit of sunshine during the winter.

We stayed at this hotel from 4/9 to 11/9 .The hotel was ok but below standards we had in the far East. Clean, staff in the restaurant very rude and never spoke to the Brits very much ,lack of the language ? Don't know. Food was awful and greasy too much French influence. Maybe ? They certainly seem to be centered on the French and Germans. If you want a sunbed by the pool be up by 6 am and put your towels out. This really annoyed me. They even sneaked down to move ones put out by the English guests. The gardens were pretty but a garden is a garden. All in all I would need to be dragged back sreaming to this hotel. Oh yes we were charged £18.00 for a wall safe for 1 week I complained and was told that it was a mistake and it was only £8 for the week. But why was it £18 for 2 weeks. Two times 8 is £16. There were 10 couples on our coach when we arrived at about 7.30pm on the 4th. The receptionist was rude and more or less thru our hotel cards to fill in which were all in French or German. Some guests even had to take their own baggage up.The air con was useless I could blow harder then that. I complained a maintenence man came removed the air filter which was filthy. Put in a new one clean and it was still the same so I gave up. Diddy dayton

We stayed at Odyssee Park Hotel for 2 weeks during August 05. The hotel was very nice, very clean and in a reasonably central location. You had to be up pretty early to save a sunbed by the pool but isn't that the same everywhere! The pool was very clean although if anything on the small side and at times got a little crowded. I personally think that although the gardens were lovely perhaps a little less garden and a bit more pool might have been better. The pool guy was helpful and always seemed to have 1 or 2 sunbeds and parasols in reserve. We were "full board plus" (all inclusive effectively) and thought the food was excellent all round. Chips available most days as part of the lunchtime BBQ but not in the evening. Our room was possibly a bit small for 4 and we might have been a bit unlucky in that it was right in one corner of the building so the shower was dodgy at peak times and the air conditioning was weak but these were our only complaints. Weather bearable given sea breeze and morning mist. Our kids are 13 and 10 (both girls) and had a great time. Younger kids seem to enjoy themselves but couldn't comment particularly on facilities. Beach was close by & busy but well worth a vist. Evening entertainment was dire - singer with keyboard. Just for info if you have not already visited it the hotel do have a website which has more info and pictures - (---). On the whole Morocco is well worth a visit. Just a note I did try and include photos but not sure if it would let me. If not I will try and post them separately so try looking at candid photos. My daughter and i stayed at the Odyssee park hotel in August.The hotel itself is a bright modern hotel with limited facilities ,the pool was very clean and had plenty of pool loungers with a lovely well tended garden perfect for sitting in the shade in the afternoon sun. The childrens facilities seemed to be limited apart from a lovely clean paddling pool.We never made it to the beach which seemed to be in the middle of a building site.The reception staff were helpful ,the restaurant was ok apart from some of the waiters who on some occasions were rude if you were new to the retaurant half board rules ie wine or coke had to be bought by the bottle if you were on half board Tariff . Would i go back probably not.

we stayed at the odyssee park from the 17.6.2005 to the 1.72005.we had a very good holiday.the hotel was very good it was in a good central location.our room had a balconey overlooing the pool.the room was nice andbright and spotlessly clean.the staff were nice and friendly and helpful.not all of them could speak english though.the food was generally good with a good selection.if you only like british type food you won,t like the food inthis hotel.the clientle at this hotel are mostly french and german so be prepared to be up early if you want a sunbed by the pool.a good alternative is to get a ticket from reception for free sunbeds and parasols at the private oasis beach which has a bar and cafe.the entertainment at night in the hotel is a singer/keyboardplayer singing the same songs everynight.the nightlife is cafebar style with morocan music and belly dancers the norm.overall i would recomend this hotel as a good place to stay while in agadir.

My partner and I have chosen this hotel after we read the reviews on this site and saw the pictures. The hotel it self was really nice in a perfect location as well. But unfortunately the staff of the hotel was extremely rude. We were forbidden to buy WATER from anywhere else apart from the hotel. I find that unacceptable especially when water is a first need. Once we bought from outside and they forced us to open our shopping plastic bag (as if we were criminals) to see weather if we have anything bought from outside the hotel and then they told us that we have to returned back from the store we bought it!!! Of course we didn’t!!! After making fuzz they allowed us…since it was just water but they advised us never to do it again!!! We were out all day, we bought some water and the bottle wasn’t empty…..do you find it wise to through it or returned it back? I do understand that some hotels have a policy in order to make more money to buy things only from them. When it comes to WATER I DO NOT ACCEPT IT!!! I have stayed in a 5 star hotels and we never had any problem or feeling like a criminal because I am holding a bottle of water. I went once to the swimming pool and I kindly asked the staff member for a towel. The person was rude telling me that it is too late and then something in his language...I assume he was swearing (There was a sign that swimming is allowed until 16:00, if I remember correctly since is being a while, and the time she was there was 15:20). I still used the swimming pool as there were many people there and I had to lie down in the plastic chair without a towel. Then the person returned with a towel…probably someone heard the conversation and he told him to bring me one. After this incident I never visited the swimming pool. After the incident with the water every time we were going back to the hotel the door man and the reception people were looking at us as we were bringing something illegal to the hotel……..It was supposed to be relaxing holidays…and the staff they didn’t make us feel that way. It was really a shame because the hotel was really nice but I will never suggest it to friends.
