myself and my husband had a brilliant time thanks to a couple we met (larry and helen) we met bou bou ( jack ) a taxi driver outside the hotel he took us to were the locals shop there are some bargains to be had he also took us on another trip to paradise beach the oasis and the atlas mountains along the way we stopped off to take pictures, a local boy had a herd of goats for a few coins he let us hold the babys, and there was a local guy selling hand made goods and fossils which is also worth going to. we also went to a morrocan resturant were bo bo takes his family. It was a trip well worth taking. I loved the animation team especially Faycal Memo Zambla and not forgeting Imad or Richard Gere as we called him. They get you up dancing and they put on a good show of an evening, you must join in there games its a laugh!!! Our room we had was very clean and done everyday we had no complaints there. there is also a safety deposit box in the room. you can hire for a small charge hairdryers and towels for the loungers. the food was a bit hit and miss but there are about six a la carte resturants. if you fancy eating out we found a very good english bar at the bottom of the road selling english food and you can watch sports. we will definately be going there next year!!!!

We have just read through some of the other reviews and can not believe that we were staying in the same place. I wish we could say our stay was as fantastic as some of the others, but it wasn't. In fact, I don't know where to begin explaining what kind of a holiday we had. Although we had gone all inclusive the food was so bad we used to go out and eat. The reception staff were often rude and our daughter's earrings were taken from the room by one of the cleaners. Our room was basic with a broken radiator and durty sheets were often put on our beds. This was to name a few, and I could go on but I think you got the general idea, it was RUBBISH. You could say you pay for what you get but this holiday worked out a very expensive one, and you might say well it's the difference in culture well, you would be wrong again. I am half Moroccan and have been many times before, all over Morocco and if this is what thay are serving up as Morocco then I feel they are cheating other tourists. Anyway, the general message is do your homework before you go. There are some great hotels that we would have paid anything to stay in only they didn't have the room. Palace de Roses and Tikida Dunas are great hot spots. The village Agador, well enter at your own risk!

we have just come back from this holiday and we had an amazing time. rooms are clean and the maid was there everyday. we met a couple donna and keith from england and had an amazing time with them all week. the animation team were outstanding and we were very sad to say goodbye to them especially zambla, faycal and imad who looks just like richard gere girls. we have only been back 2 days and are already looking to book to go back. we would recommend this location to anyone of any age looking for a fun holiday. we loved it!

Having had our flight delayed on the way back to Manchester we were bussed back into Agadir to stay in the Caribbean Village all inclusive resort. The location of the hotel is excellent within walking distance of both the beach and the city centre. Check in was a long complicated process which involved filling in numerous forms and having a wrist band fitted for the all inclusive food etc. Once checked in you need to head through a large entertainment hall before going outside to go to your apartment. The entertainment area is exactly that a lively and very loud place with lots of noisy children! So if it’s a quiet break your after this is probably not the place. On the way to the apartment there are some lovely gardens and shops selling various fashion items and gifts. Unlike the shops in Agadir you can browse and walk past without any hassle or intimidation. The apartment itself was very clean and quite spacious. The only complaint is that the TV didn’t work. The patio doors lead onto a small terrace overlooking a magnificent pool area. If only we were there longer I would have loved to have used the pool. As part of the stay we got to use the all inclusive food hall. The place is huge and it felt very much like catering for the masses. The food was fine and at both dinner and breakfast there was a fantastic choice. I would however get board of this canteen style approach and that is what tends to put me off all inclusives. My other question is how long is the food left under the lamps? On the whole this was a very comfortable stay and would be ideal for a family who simply want a holiday in the sun without seeing the actual country.

I just back from a week at the Carribean Village Agadir. We booked the hotel online and got a good deal on it, but to be honest, it is true that you do get what you pay for. It is worth noting that the hotel has two parts, the Tamlet and the Agador. We stayed at the Agador and another couple who travelled with us, stayed at the Tamlet. WE didn't know about the difference at the time of booking, so that's down to the website that we used and just a genuine mistake on our part. There was 50 euro in the price difference. When we arrived at reception in the Agador, we were told that they had to go to the other reception to check in. We were totally unaware of the difference, but they explained it to us. What was disappointing for the other couple was that they were told that their rooms were 3 star, while ours were 4. THey asked if they could just pay the difference and stay at the Agador, but the reception staff told them to contact the online travel company because there was nothing they could do. The rooms are at best in the Agador, dated, European standard 3 stars. The beds are fold up, camp style beds. The room was really smelly, was a smoking room, even though we asked for non, and they are very dark. The decor is not very pleasant, it's very cheap looking and basic. But when the sun woke us up the next morning, we were happy to let it go! The rooms in the Tamlet are at best, dated, European 2 stars. They are just not finished well at all and they really don't look invitiing. What got our friends through the first night was that they would be "Upgrading" the next day. That never happened, the travel company said talk to the hotel and they hotel wouldn't help at all, so they just stayed where they were. The only difference in the Tamlet and Agador is the room. Apart from that, everything else is exactly the same. YOu eat the same food, go to the same bar, lie by the same pool, so it is surprising that they couldn't or just wouldn't help. The food is second rate. We went all inclusive and ate out every night. THey have 5 or 6 restaurants, as well as the buffet, which to be honest are a joke. The first night we had "italian". It's a set menu, everyone has the same soup, starter, and the only option is pizza, 3 versions of the same. the pizza was nice, but the other food was bland and the soup was inedible. It was fine for breakfast and lunch. It's convenient and quick, so you don't miss too much sun, but really it's not very good quality at all. The waiting staff are friendly and helpful, sometimes a little too much so, but you do realise after a few days, they are after one thing, the tips! I did notice quite a few arguments amongst staff who poached diners as they were coming into the restaurant. I did read that the restaurants in the area should be avoided, but that is not the case at all. We ate in an Indian and then Mediterranean / European restaurants. I would in fact say that I had one of the pieces of fillet steak in a rest called Jazz. I asked for it well done and it was cooked to perfection and extremely tender. It was only about 13 euro, expensive for Agadir, but nothing in comparison to Irish prices. Facilities in the hotel are what saved us. Pools are great , lovely tennis courts and there are so many things to do during the day. on the first day, we parked by the main pool, which I wouldn't recommend if you want to sun bathe in peace. The entertainment staff are very lively and they blast really loud techno music for most of the day. We found a lovely spot by the Orangerie pool, which was really quiet, and the pool is heated. It's probably where most of the older people. or people with small kids hang out, because it is the quieter spot. THere are some other pools, which are quiet, but the water is very cold. The tennis courts are great and their coaches are lovely. I got 3 lessons, and by the end of the week had really improved. It's only 10 euro for an hour lesson and they do really work you! The guys played football and table tennis, there is literally something to do every hour here. The Spa is good, quite reasonable, would recommend a massage! All in all it was a very enjoyable holiday. We didn't pay a whole lot for it. I would go back to Morocco at this time of year, for the sun, but i wouldn't stay at the Carribean village again. I would pay a little more and stay in a better hotel. I think if I had paid more than I did Iwould have been really pi$$ed off but the fact that it was cheap, I was ok with it.. Ps.. it's not a great place for people with disabilities or with push chairs. There are steps everywhere.. I walked up and down more steps in one week than i have in my whole life!

my cousin and came to the caribbean village last may, we had a fantastic time we never stopped laughing we joined in most the games food wasnt to bad, the animation team were great ,the rooms were not to bad there seems to be a smell that comes from the bathroom and it never seems to go. Apart from that it was great, hope to go again very soon

loads to do in the day night time entertainment o.k shows are brill but after ten at night not much going on so gets abit boring food is good but a bit repeatative .

We flew out to visit my step daughter who at the time was a Thomson Rep in the resort staying at same Hotel and thought it was very good we were pleasantly surprised by Agadir as we thought it was much more modern than Tunisia and no one seemed to grab your arm to go into shops. The hotel was very nice and food OK for an all inclusive establishment. The Moroccan restaurant was excellent. Tip the barman 20 Dirhams (about £1.20) and he will be your pal, I mistakenly tipped one 200 Dirhams so you can imagine how chummy he was with us! He was very attentive and wasn't looking for anymore. We would have ventured out at night if it had not been for my step daughter advising us of ladies nights at Barfly, The Factory and Sofitel Hotel nightclub. Between 11pm and 1am ladies get all drinks FREE!! Great idea doubt if it will catch on in UK. 'Petite' taxis were cheap I paid just over £1 inc tip (would probably have got it for less if I could have been bothered haggling but it was so cheap anyway)for a journey that would cost £5-6 back home. We even went into the ouks with a Moroccan friend who haggled for us the taxi journey where everyone crams into the same cab to make it cheaper was an experience, we were apprehensive at first but glad we did it we were the only Europeans in sight and no one batted an eyelid just the occasional polite bonjour. We enjoyed Agadir and would go back.

Just ignore anyone who tells you this hotel is rubbish. We had a fantastic time and the people are great. We didnt visit the ampitheatre for the entertainment but heard it was really goog. Weather was great apart from one day when we had some showers. Gets a little cold on an evening though - so take a cardigan. New Years eve was fabulous, the staff went all out to make it a night to remember and it certainly was. Chocolate the camel is the best looking camel ever and worth having a ride. Would recommend this holiday to evyone and will be going back again ourselves

We have just arrived home from our stay at this hotel. We really enjoyed our time here. The weather was in the high 20s all week, and we found this to be a very relaxing break. The hotel is set in really large grounds with beautifully manicured gardens. The rooms are not overly luxurious but our room had a refurbished walk in shower room and was always kept really clean. All of the rooms are set out in traditional Moroccan riad style. We had a small balcony and also a shared terrace with a few other rooms with a sea view where we could watch the sun go down. There are 4 pools, 2 of which are heated at this time of year- these are inevitably busier than the other pools, however, we never had to fight for a sunbed and there was no reserving of sunbeds before breakfast etc as there were plenty of beds for the amount of people staying here. I would imagine in the high season this could be a different story though. The beach is just across the road from the hotel and there is a private area for the hotel- yes there is building work going on in the proximity to extend the promenade, but there was very little disruption due to this and it is great that they are improving facilities for the tourists in this area. The main restaurant at this hotel is buffet style and they also have 6 table d'hote restaurants- Chinese, Japanese, Moroccan, Mediterranean, Tex-Mex and Pizza- all of which have set menus which are displayed where you make your reservations. The buffet was great and had an average selection. The Tex-Mex was probably one of the worse meals we have ever had, but the Moroccan was by far the best as you would probably expect. The problem with the speciality restaurants is that the food is great, but the Chinese wasn't Chinese and the Japanese wasn't really Japanese which is quite amusing. However, on the whole the food was good, and we never felt ill. The trips on offer were really good and in our opinion were reasonably priced. We did the day trip to Marrakech, which was a long day but well worth it. On the whole we had a brilliant time. The location is great, the beach is beautiful, the hotel was great at this time of year, and we would definitely recommend a visit in the winter months, but I can imagine that even in the extensive grounds the facilities may become very crowded during the summer........!!!

Booked a week in Morocco for Christmas.. through an online travel agent who do things at the 'last minute'....! Assured that the hotel would be suitable for my needs as a wheelchair user and a disabled friendly room had been requested, we chose this hotel with confidence. We also booked the transfer service from the airport with Med Hotels. The transfer was in a minibus which struggled to accomodate my small battery scooter, even though I stressed when making the booking that we would need any vehicle that had room for us to lift the scooter into it. Said, the Med Hotels rep. was a real support. He gave us a puzzled look when we said we were going to the Caribbean Village Agador. On arrival at the hotel, we found we couldn't enter the hotel through the front entrance because of a large step. We were taken through the gravel car park at the side of the hotel in order to reach the reception. The grounds of this hotel are gorgeous, well maintained and designed..... for able bodied people. We entered the back of the hotel up a small wooden ramp and then found that I couldn't get to reception anyway because of another flight of steps.. there are no lifts here. My wife went to book us in..... she had a real problem trying to communicate with the staff because of noisy entertainment being held just next to the foyer, the atmosphere was great but it was virtually impossible to hear anything but the music. I should imagine this wouldn't be a problem during the day. My wife went to look at the room... left me sitting in the foyer near reception. She came straight back and said it was totally unsuitable for me, completely unaccessible with a disabled scooter. I suppose if I had been in my wheelchair my wife could have tipped me backwards to lift it into the room. Back into reception.. right in the middle of the noisy party music, my wife attempted to ask if there was another room that I could get into that didn't have steps.. the chap behind the reception couldn't understand what she wanted.. In the end he shook his head and said that this room was the hotels best disabled room...! As it was CLOSE to reception..! When my wife said that we were GRATEFUL for that but we couldn't get into it, he advised us to see the REP. in the morning. The staff at the reception are very helpful and most of them can get by in several languages. So, we had a look around the pool and the restaurant and decided we couldn't manage for a whole week. Steps in every direction, there were steep ramps and paths that were suitable for wheelchairs but there were still lots of places that were unaccessible. We tried to get a meal in the resturaunt but ended up just getting the dregs, mostly cold vegetables. I am not a meat eater and I could tell that they had been fried or roasted in meat fat. The waiters were seemingly very helpful, bringing drinks etc, but when I asked where the toilet was...... the response was..YEAH. And we didn't see him again! Definitely a communication problem but then we are too lazy to learn Arabic.. First thing in the morning we spoke to SAID, our rep. he was a great help, he said that the agent that booked us into this hotel wasn't being very honest and he said he would help us to move to another place. We paid a bit extra money and moved to the Riu Tikida just up the road.... fantastic.. it was like being on another planet. What a difference. Ask me if you want to see photographs. Our big family, 13 adults just arrived from Agadir. We spent one week at this hotel and found it clean, friendly and helpful, extra ++ go to the amphitheatre entertainment!

oh my god what can i say lol this was my 4th time at this hotel and i love it more and more every time i go back and soon will be going back in may next year with my mate! food, i thought the food was ok you have heard people say that they get a upset tummy but i have never been that ill just go to the toilet alot but thats becuase u are trying different things u are not used to! rooms, are better then they was when i went 4 new year nearly 2 years ago they had baths then with a shower but they have knocked them out and just put in walkin showers which is much better! animation, lol oh they are great they all are like my brother n sisters! but you young girls dnt fall for them it's horrible because i have been there and it's not a nice thing to go though when you are young just like i was! but a big shout out to my best mates ever said which he has left 2 go 2 england for 3 months but hope to see you soon babe and mimo, dj abdol, issam, and karim miss you guys! hope my review helps you it is a really nice place if you get involved with everything it will be a holiday 2 remember it's paradise xxxx

Caribbean Village you are fabulous one of the best, staff are so friendly and really really helpful, they can't do enough for you.

I went to this hotel with my girlfriend, it was a last minute bargain, and I bought the trip without knowing anything about this hotel. When I have read all the reviews I was terrified. I saw pictures with mould and read about cochroaches. I was ready for the worst holiday I could imagine. And then it was a great surprise to find out how fantastic agador village can be. the whole complex is very big, it contains 4 pools, 6 alacarte restaurants, 3 plain restaurants, and a lot of space. Animations are ok but a bit too loud, there is plenty space to hide from it though. Coplex contains a lot of Morrocan style white houses, where are the rooms, between the houses there is nothing but the garden, palmtrees other exoting plants, including oranges. In the garden there are pool areas and some stores with local products (of course the same things are much cheaper in the town). My girlfriend made a original Morrocoan henna painting, it was quite expensive, but we have got guarantee that it was natural henna not the black poisonous one, and the painting lasts for about two weeks unlike paintings from jamaa el fna in Marrakech, which lastes for couple of hours. There are marvelous little white walls painted white every second day (seriously), around paths contecting buildings and pools. All inclusive option is a bit too poor, sometimes you would like to get more, but I don't complain, you can get food from 5:30 o'clock till midnight (remeber that in shisha bar you can eat between meals in the main restaurant) and drink between 9:00 and midnight, after 7pm you can get a bottled water to your room. There are couple of bars, but only in one you get get alcoholic drink, if you tip a bartender, he will always remember your favourite dring, and it will be always ready if you appear at the bar (20MAD every day is enough, remeber that these people earn little money). All staff is wonderful, comparing to other morrocan people met on the street, they are so cool, not pushy at all. Such behaviour appears very often in the town, you must get used to it and learn how to handle with people trying to sell you souvenirs or services (so called faux guides- be careful with them), I've been travelling a lot to more exotic places, but a first short walk in Agadir was a sort of culture shock. Never forget that morroco is stil a developing country, and it doest look like spain or greece, though its very beatiful. Lets get back to the hotel. Rooms are clean but not the highest standart. Cleaners are very nice, especially if you tip them. Food is great, I had stomachache all the time, but not because of some tropical bacterias, the cause was overeating. You can eat everyday in the different restaurant alacarte, I never tried supper in the main restaurant. The best was Morrocoan restaurant Medina, the worst Sushi, and italian, if you don't like experiments don't eat in fishermans house. Main restaurant is huuuuuge, there are never queues, menu is changed everyday and there is no way you can try everything. Breakfast is also huge you can get whatever you want, continental breakfast, english, american, etc. The whole complex has three entrances corresponding to three parts of the hotel. Actualy there are two hotels: Tamlelt (a bit lower standart than Agador) and Agador (second entrance), the third entrance leads through the Argane museum and store (worth to see, payable though) to the street which leads to the beach. Beach is quite distant. You must cross the whole construction site, Morrocans are currently rebuilding the whole city, including construction of huge boulevard on the oceanside, now it is horrible story, but in the couple of years it will be one of the best curorts in the mediterranean area. The beach is great it is wide enough not to hear the construction site, hotel has a small area on the beach with deckchairs for the hotel guests for free. You can take a long walk on the beach, to the port and marina on the one side (worth to go), and wild areas on the other. Police is patroling the beach on the quads, so its seems to be safe. Water is usuall y warm and clean (depends on the day, sometimes current changes and its freezing cold), but I must confess that hotel was so cool that I have never enter the ocean. I came to the Agador on the end of september, and it was a great time, hotel was not overcrowded, British and French people werent as silly as they usualy can be, some kids were annoying (as I came with my girlfriend and we looked for some peace and quite), but overall its was great. I hate big overcrowded and noisy hotels, and although Agador can guest over 700 people, you don't really feel that crowd while everybody stay in the different part of the complex. Animations are so cool, I'm not a very sociable person, but it was fun to participate in the games on the main pool area, I even won 65 MAD in bingo game:). The weather was not the best, fogs and cold evenings and mornings were very dissapointing, but you can use that time to leave the hotel and hit the town. I regret that I came there in the Ramadan so it was more difficult to explore the local culture and try local cuisine. I also regret that it was only a week!!!!!!!! Great hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy your stay!

This is a fairly nice looking hotel with a good atmosphere in the evening. There's plenty to keep you entertained - three pools, tennis courts, table tennis, crazy golf, archery, football etc. There is also an onsite entertainments team which were pretty active, if somewhat cheesy. Our room was clean and functional, with a balcony which caught the sun in the morning. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The beach is five to ten minutes away, and although you have to walk through something of a building site to get there it's quite pleasant once you arrive. The beach is miles long and all sandy, and the sea fine for swimming in, though it was quite windy some days. My biggest problem with the holiday was that I picked up a stomach bug after a couple of days. It steadily got worse through the week and by the time I got home I was terribly ill, having to visit the doctor and take time off work. I don't know where I picked the bug up from, but I suspect it was either the buffet (lukewarm food) or perhaps some drinks contained tap water. I might have put it down to just being in a foreign country if it wasn't for other reviews on here where people were sick - I don't normally get ill abroad. To be fair, my girlfriend (a vegetarian) was fine, but I would still not recommend this hotel.

we have been going to the carabean village for the past six years three or four times a year we have included our whole family.all the staff from toilet cleaner to thehotel managers are wonderfull they make our stay perfect. even the owner when theresays hello we regard all the staff as extended family they call us mam and dad and treat us as part of their familestoo. the food in the hotel is excellent with a vast variety of dishes to cater for everyone. the customer service manager mansouri is very special he caters to our every wish spends time with us and is a very dear friend. all the staff go out of their way to make our stay perfect . karim an animator is the most sincere person we have ever met the moroccan people are caring kind loyal freinds and we feel extreley privaledged to have met them and include them in our extended family. mam and dad.

Rooms - Damp, dirty and shabby even though there been recently refurbished. Food - Lukewarm to raw and repetation. Pools - Only surfaced cleaned, bottom of pools flithy. Sunbeds - 5am dash to secure bed, a lot of beds are broken and the mattresses are dirty. Beach - Hotel area crampled and you are always hassled by the locals selling you their goods. Our two week family hoilday was ruined by us all contracting the mystery diarrhoea and vomiting sickness which was rife amounst the British guests at this hotel. Good points Staff are wonderful and the country is lovely but i would return but not to this hotel avoid it like the plague.

I just returned from staying at this hotel with my partner. Our rating would be somewhere between 1 and 2 out of 5. Please note the Caribbean Village is the name for the entire complex, which consists of 2 hotels - Hotel Agador and Pueblo Tamlelt. Agador is the nice hotel and Tamlelt is the cheap on on the complex (e.g. Tamlelt reception is tucked away at one end of the complex and it's rooms are far more basic and dirtier). ACCOMMODATION We started off staying at the Tamlelt. On the first night we found cockroaches and ants in the room. We moved rooms, but still had a problem with ants. The Tamlelt reception were ambivalent about this and seemed not to care. Although we were there for 1 week, we ended up moving rooms 4 times, eventually being dealt with personally by the manager of the Hotel Agador, who got us a nicer cleaner room in the Agador. FOOD The food was dangerous, my girlfriend was sick twice and my stomach was not right all week. The standard of the food is really very poor, albeit we were not exactly expecting 5 star luxury. But one would expect a basic level of safety and this place simply cannot be trusted. I am glad to be home to cook clean good food. More than one waiter actually advised us not to eat in the hotel, or at least stick to salads...I found this unbelievable, but in fact believable once we tasted the food for ourselves. We ended up eating out at local restaurants for 3 nights that we were there and 2 other nights we stuck to the pizzeria as this was a safer option that chinese or sushi, although the pizzeria is not exactly quality (the veg soup was luke warm, the mozzarella and tomato salad was pitiful and the pizza was small). The resort has 2 main 'buffet' restaurants where you can help yourself and the other 6 or so restaurants are 'a la carte', whereby you have to book in advance. On the first morning when we tried to book the pizzeria we were told that it was full until the following week, which was simply ridiculous so we had to complain simply to be able to book into the a la carte restaurant. BEACH The beach is a 5-10 minute walk and the hotel has it's own private area which is actually quite nice and has good sand. The only down side is that they are building a massive new promenadein Agadir, and the JCB diggers are literally 15 metres away from the hotel's private beach. In addition, there is a massive concrete mixing plant immediately behind the private area of beach so please do not expect an idyllic scene! ALL INCLUSIVE? Not quite, you pay for ice cream and crepes around the pool - this is clearly how they take advantage of families with children. You also pay to play tennis and they even charge to use the fitness centre, which simply defies belief when you consider they use the term all inclusive. In law (and I speak with legal experience here), to call it all 'inclusive' is a misrepresentation and if you are covered by the Package Tours Regulations 1992 (i.e. if your holiday is a package holiday), then I believe you have an action in law against whomever your contract is with provided that they have not informed you first of the limitations of the offer prior to you booking. GENERAL COMMENTS We paid over £1,000 for this 1 week all inclusive package. I am now going to dispute this as we suffered an experience that I would not wish on anyone on their holiday. if you are still intent on visiting this resort, please ensure you stay at the Hotel Agador and NOT the Pueblo Tamlelt. Some of the staff in the hotel were quite rude, in fact downright insulting and they need to be removed, especially as most of the staff are very helfpul and friendly and I would not want to tar everyone with the same brush. Finally, please bear in mind that this hotel/complex is built for families, it is not really for couples although we were not told this when we booked. The entertainment, which consisted of an animation team playing the same cheesy 5 songs (incl. Agadoo and Dire Straits for some reason), was very loud from 8pm until 11pm and difficult to escape from anywhere in the complex. if you want a quiet time with your partner, please avoid this place. Even some of the kids we saw looked non-plussed with the entertainment offering, albeit many of the French seemed to love it.

The hotel room was not what i expected for a four star hotel on arrival the hotel grounds looked like what had suffered from a severe earth quake or even a bomb explotion, the rooms are very basic, not clean and desperately need redecorating. The floor tiles had cracks in them, taps were filthy, rusty plug holes and rusty curtain rail with grime allover the shower curtain.Even the toilet looks discusting with cracks and stains allover it. We went all inclusive for the week and what a bad idea that was, the food was the same almost every night and they rarely changed the dishes.... got pretty boring after a couple of days. They had carvery, but instead of slicing the meat for you, the chef would hack the joint into tiny pieces and give you a plate full of bones. The last day i risked having a bowl of cereal and the milk was off, then i had to warn a lady who was about to feed her baby with some! I couldnt wait to come home. If you are wanting a luxury hotel with a nice room then this is not the place for you. I am not normally one to complain but the room was beyond a joke. The best thing about the hotel was the pool area, it was a large area with plenty of room for everyone however If you want to sunbathe by the pool then expect an early start because by 7am all the sun loungers are taken which is ridicilous! The hotel was so bad that even First Choice gave us £200 back and an £100 voucher to use on another holiday.... i think they should take this hotel off sale! The hotel is desperately in need of a refurbishment but even if it had one i still dont think i would ever go back to Morocco!

we found the staff and hotel excellant but like most people the themed restuarants were a let down with some odd combo,s of food. it had the only steakhouse that didnt do steaks ,the following night i had a steak in the main restuarant. the beach bar was fine as long as you stayed away from the sellers and guests who bought from them only make it worse for others. but overall its a nice place for a cheap holiday. if you want to buy goods then go to the fixed price shop in the town far cheaper than the sellers at the hotel .agadirs not a bad place if you take the time to get out and about , tip the waiters early and get all the information you,ll need to get by.

Where do I start! The hotel itself is lovely but my party (of which there were 9) were all extremely ill. Will not go into graphic detail but needless to say wish there was more than one toilet in each room! Could not pin down the cause but did put a major damper of the holiday. Apart from that most things were ok! We went on all inclusive basis but was not informed by the Holiday company (First Choice) that would have to pay for things that we had been informed were free (Ice Cream for children). There was plenty for children under ages of 10 to do but nothing for those over. Needless to say most of our children got bored very quickly! There are plenty of activities but all had to be paid for!

Just returned from one week all inclusive at the Carribean Village (me, husband and 13 year old daughter) and had a fantastic time. First Choice flights and transfers went very smoothly, had to complete a form for each of you upon arrival, but this is very quick (have your passports ready) then once checked in you will be shown to your room. We were near reception and were very pleased with our room (2622) it was very spacious with a balcony and terrace (plus 3 chairs already there!). Bed and towels changed everyday, toilet seperate to shower (which is good if you do get a moroccon belly!), nice mirror with a good light for us girlys to get ready in the evening - what more could you ask for? Food - we enjoyed all the food, I can see why some people can get bored of it, especially by the end of 2 weeks, but we enjoyed it all. Breakfast is the best! You have to have an omlette by the egg man as I called him, you can get these spicy beans and sausages and fried bread too. After that we were attacking the croissants and pain du chocolates (allsorts of jams and honey to go in them), then we were having fruit with youghurt! (lovely yoghurts, they were pink and green! but lovely). We don't normally eat this much at home but we only had lunch at the hotel once in the week we were there as we were too full up! Waiters were fantastic, by the second day we had our 2 waiters that we had for the 7 days and they really looked after us. We did get a bit of a moroccan tummy but it wasn't a problem (this is on the second day) what I will suggest to you if you do get it is to carry on eating the food and your body adjusts to all the spices. It wasn't like an illness with stomach cramps so no problem. Think most people got the same but it's a bit taboo isn't it, however the lobby bar toilets never lie! By day 3 I was fine and I put on half a stone during the hol! Went to the A La Cart restaurants, the Moroccon and the sushi. Moroccon was excellent, please go. Sushi was ok but husband was still quite hungry afterwards as sushi is not very big servings is it! You can always go into the buffet afterwards if need be, or wait until 10pm for the snack bar. Beach - first went down there and walked right instead of left (which would of taken us to the hotels private area) and first impressions were awful, we were bombarded with people trying to sell us stuff (only because they could tell a mile off that we had just arrived as we were all white! This did get better by the end of the week and you do become more assertive!) and the sea seemed quite dirty and the waves were very large, not what I'm used to, however...... Once we found the private beach area this made it better and after going into the sea and realising what fun you have jumping the waves I was in my element! There are big 4-6 foot waves (wave size seemed to vary from day to day) you have to jump at the right time for it to carry you! Sea is VERY salty but after the first couple of days you get used to it and it doesn't sting your eyes anymore. We went into Agadir on a couple of days, we had to go to Mcdonalds and we all had a 'macarabia meal' - it was gorgeous you will have to try. 3 meals cost about £8 so cheaper than UK too. Oh and they do vanilla milkshakes! We went on the white tourist train which I would reccomend, it lets you see everything without getting pestered! Watch the roads though when walking, they are maniacs! I would say you get pestered more on the beach than in the town however. Oh must mention Del Boy located at the hotel who I'm sure you will bump into at some point. He sells spices and is a real wheeler deeler, can talk the talk, he's quite funny! I would suggest you buy something off him and for the rest of the holiday you get big waves and smiles from him. I can imagine him being a real pain otherwise! We found him ok though. Had a moroccan meal on our return using his spices which just took us right back so it is a nice thing to take back home! Can't comment on the pools, we aren't pool people and definately would not take part in the 'grab a sunbed' campaign, we are just beach people and feel you could be anywhere sitting around a pool but they seemed to be clean and all the entertainment goes on all day there, great if this is your thing, nightmare if you want to snooze! Entertainment - we weren't bothered about this, tried it once and wasn't too keen but good if you like this sort of thing. However you must go to the moroccon evening - fab! Moroccan dancers, belly dancers, acrobats, a man spinning round (for about 20 minutes!) and snake charmers (however this seemed cruel to me, the snakes were lifeless and he was holding them in the air and shaking his wrist to make it look like the snake was moving! I'd heard they drug the snakes and now I beileve it). There's a camel at the hotel for the kids to ride all day on Friday (Moroccon day) such a beautiful camel called chocolate, it doesn't spit and seems very clean. It even sits down and watches the show in the evening with everyone! Also there's the bedouin tent serving mint tea and water pies every evening, apple flavoured tobacco is smoked through it, went in there a couple of times, was quite relaxing. Can't think of much else to say - we would go back to Morocco and back to this hotel which I suppose says it all really, however we do prefere to try different places. Maybe when we get stuck for new places that take our fancy we may well return. Fab experience which I'm pleased we sampled, hope you enjoy too.

The hotel appeared very nice. Our room was spacious and clean and had a huge balcony. The facilities were excellent especially the 4 spacious pools. The thing that let it down was the food - it looked nice, tasted o.k and there was a good choice but we all had upset tummies whilst we were there. The Medina themed restaurant was the best, the tex mex was the worst. The food and hotel became quite boring very quickly. The waiters were quite pervy around our 16 year old daughter and any time she was on her own they tried to make arrangements to meet her outside the hotel. Agadir was a big disappointment - a big ugly resort. Did the 4x4 excursion but thought it was a rip off. Also did the Essouria excursion and really enjoyed it - very nice place. Agadir beach is o.k if you keep looking out to sea. Look to the left and you will see building work, look behind and you will see a concrete plant. Hawkers are a nuisance but if you dont sit next to the rope in the hotels section then they cannot get to you and it is possible to get some peace. There is no peace to be had at the hotel, it is imposible to escape the 'entertainment' and the other holiday makers got on my nerves lots of chavs and very rude French people. There are 2 excellent restaurants at the back of the hotel one was called La Scala where the fish was great.

we have been going to the carabean village for the past six years three or four times a year we have included our whole family.all the staff from toilet cleaners to the hotel managers are wonderfull they make our stay perfect.even the owner when there says hello we regard all the staff as extended family they call us mam & dad and treat us as part of their families too.the food in the hotel is excellent with a vast variety of dishes to cater for everyone.the customer service manager mansouri is very special he caters to our every wish spends time with us and is a valued friend.the animation staff are a delight,we regard them all as our children,they are respectfull generous and polite to us.karim in paticular has been golden he spends free time with us and takes us out to experience the local culture.the entertainment in the evening is very enjoyable and funny.we have made many friends over the years and we sincerly hope to remain so for many more years.we always say when leaving england we are returning to our second home.the moroccan people are the most sincere and friendly people we have ever met it is a delight and an honor to know them. love mam and dad x

After reading some of the reviews on this site i was rather worried about going but thought that most people were moaning and that it cant be that bad.......? If only i had listened! Me and my partner decided to try "some were different this year" and chose this resort as it was reasonably priced and looked nice on the video. BUT id like to no were and when this video was filmed! On our first day when we arrived we decided to wander down to the "private beach" what a joke! It was a few sun beds with a soft drink bar with a rope around it! This was not so private as its next to a building site! And on our return to the hotel, we were offered to purchase some drugs by the local youth! Unfortunately this wasn’t a isolated incident as on the second day we also saw the exchange of a "suspicious item" between a chef and animation staff member. And a little word of warning watch out for certain members the Animation Team….especially if your young, femaleand single. But being full of the joys of holiday i didn’t let this bother me to much. Now if you want a sun bed at any point during your stay either be willing to rise at 5am to beat the good old GERMANS! or be prepared to TIP the pool man other wise its the concrete for you! Now on to the food.......i thought it was ok always the same things, beef with spices.....spicy beef! ...until the third evening when i was very ill, they warn you about the water but the wash all salad in it, cook veg and on the last day i learnt that they WATER DOWN THE ORANGE JUICE WITH TAP WATER!!! I was not the only one who suffered at least 90% of all the English people i spoke to were ill at some point. STILL not wanting this to ruin my holiday i was determined to carry on and more or less had a good holiday, until i tried the ALL INCLUSSIVE SPORTS...Tennis! The only thing all inclusive about it is the ground and the air you breathe.....you have to PAY for the balls, racket and this is the same for most of the activities! But one good thing is the rooms and resort are clean and look very nice, the majority of the staff are lovely and can’t do enough for you given the right tip! So if you are considering the Caribbean village as you next holiday id strongly suggest you re think you trip.

We had read varying reports on the hotel after booking it but had a really good holiday. Our room was away from the main pool area which can be noisy at night and was clean and comfortable. We tipped the maid 100dhr at the beginning of the week and she was brilliant. Each day she staged our 3 year old's teddy, reading a book, looking out the window etc which she thought was brilliant. The shower and toilet were all clean and the towels changed every day The trip was all-inclusive. You have a choice of two main restaurants for breakfast and lunch, the smaller one is quieter and more french feeling, although the same food. Staff were very good, tip 15-20dhr a day and they remember your drinks, top them up etc and can advise on costs and trips. Anyone looking for a british breakfast may need to go to the British pub down the road. They do eggs, croissants, cold meats, loads of cereals, great french bread. Coffee is very good as is the mint tea. Lunch and dinner offers about 6-8 hot options, chicken, fish, meat, chips and rice plus a large range of salads, bread and boring french pastries and fruit salad. After a week they do start to feel a bit similar but the quality of the meat and temperature was fine. We all ate the salads and never had any dodgy stomaches. You are given vouchers for a range of specialist restaurants, I think 7 in total. Arrive at the booking window at 9.30am on first day and book the ones you want then. The Morroccan one was in a nice restuarant and the salads were great, the rest of the meal didn't meet the quality of the tagines in the main restaurant. Steak house is OK but you don't get to choose how or what is cooked for you, well done suits all. Pizza place (wife's choice) was OK. We didn't try the others. Wide range of pools, some deep enough for proper swimming, main pool has nice big shallow section for kids. Main pool area can be very noisy and full of large smoking germans, french and english people. Animation team do a great job getting people up if that is your thing. Kids club would have only suited French children when we where there, good facilities but would have been very intimidating for UK kids, but I think there are more UK kids later in the summer. As with many resorts you need to bag loungers ealry with your own towels, or speak to the pool attendants on the first day. Most will be gone by 8.30am. Beach is 5 minutes walk away, across road and down track. Bit grubby but nothing worse than you'd see in Greece or France. Beach is wonderful, clean wide and long, plus private section for hotel where there were always loungers, not the case by the pools. A few people trying to sell things but they are fine if you say no politely. The free drinks were fine, lager nice, wines were typical french plonk style. Spirits were OK, tipping the bar staff on the first night guarantees bigger servings! I never had problems getting rounds of drinks or having to wait for service. Shops in complex aren't too expensive, but haggle and you can get a bargain. Start at 25% of what they suggest and work out what you want to pay, if they don't drop enough walk away. If they can come down they will. They will often start at more than an item would cost you in UK, but they will then come down. Check things carefully, some of the 'silver' is very thin and the leather bags often have very flimsy catches, buckels etc. Beware the spices and perfume sellers, both on site and off, it can be expensive once they have added 6 or 7 things together, it also makes haggling more difficult. Agadir is OK, take the half day trip, the Kasbah is interesting but the camel trips are not cheap (there is a camel on site on a Friday for free photos and short ride, safer but less picturesque) and beware having your photo taken with baby goats etc, they will try and charge you a fortune. The Souk (1,000 stalls) is incredible, rather smelly and bewildering, as long as you don't catch the trader's eye and say No politely they wil leave you alone. If you do see anything you like look round but they will leave you alone if you say no. Think of it like a massive car boot sale. Day trip to Marrakesh was long, 4 hours there and 5 back but worth it. The Souk has 15,000 stalls and is rather smelly but shouldn't be missed. Find a cafe to sit and watch people and drink mint tea is good fun and gets you out of the heat, but the toilets are pretty horrid. We were very impressed with what we got for £350 each. The food and drink were fine, the room was cool and clean and the complex pretty and very up together, lots of grass, flowers etc. The Morroccans are very friendly, especially if you have children and will tell you about their own. Remember they earn little and work long hours (even if very slowly sometimes), be nice to them and tip them and they will make your time even better. Haggling can be fun, but decide what you want to pay and don't shift, walking away works wonders and is much better way to buy than the fixed price shops which cost 50-60% more than elsewhere. We're going back to Morocco, might spend a few days in Agadir but there is a lot else to see along the coast and in the mountains.

We booked the holiday as a spare of the moment as we where supposed to be going to Amsterdam but we saw the movie "Hostel" a week before and changed our minds! lol! We went with First Choice booked through their website and paid £400 per person for 1 Week all inclusive including the booking of the executive room at manchester airport. We enjoyed our time at the airport mainly due to the executive lounge and would recommend it anytime, you get free drinks all soft/alcoholic and coffee and snacks (nuts/crackers/cheese etc) When arriving in Morocco we went through arrivals and it was roasting hot! We had to fill in a standard form in the airport before going through customs and this took about 10 mins including queues and went to collect the luggage, we waited about 10 mins for this, then we went through and got the english money exchanged which took just a few minutes. We were met by men trying to carry our cases for us after a tip, however we had been prior warned as the coaches are just 20 seconds walk away so its a rip off. Keep tight hold of your luggage as they will try and take it to carry for you. The coach was air conditioned and took a journey through some of the poorest areas we've ever seen, men begging and men in suits hitchhiking! Shocking! Road madness and very dangerous driving so wear your seatbelt! We where the last to be dropped off, dont be worried about the hotel as where they drop you off is the side entrance and looks a bit dodgy! Its NOT! We walked round and where very impressed. We where directed into the main hotel reception and our cases put to one side, we had to fill in a form and got to do this sitting on very comfy sofas with a free ice cold glass of pop. Once checked in, which took about 3 mins we where taken to our rooms, our porter didnt ask for a tip. but we had just 10dhs (about £0.60p) and this pleased him, after all he had just carried two heavy cases up 3 flights of stairs! Our room was based in a block of about 12 appartments inside a low rise white washed block. Very clean and tidy and nice and cool, we had double patio doors which opened out onto a balcony which had a small table and two plastic chairs. The room was blue and white tiled with sheets and blankets on the beds, lots of wardrobe space, and drawers, and a nice large dressing table and small stools. The toilet was seperate from the shower room, which is handy with two women getting ready! And very handy when one of you has a poorly stomach! The gardens surrounding are lovely and well maintained, and very vast. We went to the main pool which is where the entertainment was, you couldnt miss it you could hear the music from the main reception! lol! However it was nice to arrive to other people in the party holiday mood! We, armed with our all inclusive wristbands headed for the bar!!!! The barmen on the pool bar are very nice, friendly a little flirty and make the holiday fun! They are gonna come onto you if your female and take it with general fun and dismiss anyone who comes on to strongly. The main resturant is nice and light and cool. there is orange juice (however its powdered and bitter)tea and coffee during breakfast. We had omelettes nearly every day from the omelette man! You'd pick your ingredients and he would cook them fresh, if travelling with kids make sure theyre cooked through as sometimes if in a rush it would be slightly runny. Dinners and evening meals where lovely and alcohol on tap. You could also book one of the al-a-carte resurants which where nice enough. pizza. steak. chinese etc. We only went to the steak and the pizza and all was nice and well cooked. Entertainment was good during the day, the staff made a huge effort to get you to get up and dance and join in with the activities which where all free, Laura went to play pingpong and we both went to the arabic lessons which was fun, but not needed as we made our own entertainment. However after midnight it was none exsistent, which made it dificult for two young women. There was a night disco but drinks where chargable. We booked the marakesh express trip, which was 4hrs drive there and 4hrs back, marakesh was nice but I wouldnt recommend it unless you have severe patience and want to be dragged around musiums and old buildings for most of the day, us along with other younguns had to complain to get more free shopping time in the medina and main square. It was hot, sweaty, stunk of wee and men! Plus if your a lady on the larger side (sami) like me beware, you will get stared at as they seem to like you in marakesh! lol! Skinny mini's (laura) seemed to get the attention in the main resort of Agadir!! The berber night is amazing and finished our holiday off with a bang, I wont go into too much detail but its brilliant and you wont forget it! See the photos we've added! lol! We went out a few times outside the hotel grounds and got pestered more than we did in marakesh, taxi drivers, tour touts and basic beggers if your single women you will get pestered, however we where never touched, or attacked in anyway. The people there rely on tourists for there life and feeding their families so they are gonna be pushy to get your money through selling crap you dont really need! Deal with it, or go to Benidorm! All in all the holiday was a right laugh, and the hotel was nice and clean and did its job. Would we return? Unlikely, purely due to the fact there's just too many places in the world to visit yet. Would we recommend it to a close friend? Yes, but if you have young children under the age of 15 I would go elsewhere, although there is a kids club its not a child friendly hotel and certainly not for people with walking difficulties or disabled as its just stairs stairs stairs!! One tip would be to watch your step when walking and entering the buildings as there are bloody small steps everywhere and people used to trip over all the time. we had to walk round saying to each other "step" "step!!" etc all the time. Overall a nice hotel in a rough part of town, friendly waiters and barmen, (watch your teenage daughters!). If you have booked and your visiting soon, then say hi to Rachid and Yousef on the main pool bar from sami and laura! ENJOY!

Just come back after two weeks at the Caribbean Village. Our first time to Morroco. We booked this hotel due to its price which at £500 for two weeks all-inclusive is a steal. We were lucky to have a great room overlooking the central garden. Block 29. The rooms are basic but clean, we had a walk in shower in ours but I understand some rooms have baths. We did hear that some people were not so happy with their rooms and complained about the maid not cleaning it properly. We had no such problem. All the staff are friendly, we tipped our waiter and at the reception bar and pool bar waiters. They earn such a pittance at £225 per month. Its ok to go out of the hotel and you don’t get bothered too much, just say No Thank you firmly and they leave you alone. The weather was great, sunny every day and over 31. Go on the little train, which takes you around the city for just over a pound and takes about 45 minutes. The Beach is great, I’ve never seen so many lads playing football. They are fanatics. The beach will take you around 50-60 minutes to walk end to end. It is patrolled by Police on horse back and 4 wheel drive beach buggies. We did not see any trouble while we were there. They are building a Promenade along the beach and in places this is noisy with large diggers and lorries. Unfortunately the Hotels beach bar is right next to the construction. Do go to Marrakech if you can, the place is fantastic and the coach trip is a real eye opener to the way the local people live. They rely totally on donkeys and mules for their transport within their villages. The 1st Choice trip was very good and cost £90 per head, this was for a guide, transport, hotel, lunch and evening meal. You also go to Essoura on the second day. Back at he hotel the larger pool in the centre of the complex is the noisiest and its where all the animation team are. Not our scene at all so we used to go to the smaller pool with the bar. Two other smaller pool areas are also available. Food is ok and for a 3 star is probably above average. A word of warning, do check the food at the specials bar. We did find one night that the fish kebabs were not cooked all the way through. You also have a choice of booking the speciality restaurants. Don’t expect too much, but they are worth going to. Overall, as long as you are not expecting 5 star luxury this is an ok place. We may actually go back next year as we want to do a few more trips to other parts of the country. At the height of the season it would be far to busy for us. We were told that there was around 8-900 guests the weeks we had. The hotel can hold 1600 at peak holiday times. I would imagine that you would have to que for drinks etc.

Well, Firstly, Being a travel agent myself I quite often have to sit here and listen to people moan that they paid £2.50 and didnt get 5 star treatment on their "We want All Inclusive as cheap as possible holiday".. well guys, news for you here, you get what you pay for!!! Myself and my gorgeous friend Leiah spent a week here from the 13th June 2007. What fantastic value for money. Working in travel I have been all over the world and yes, have stayed in some fantastic hotels. To be honest, I was unsure about booking a 3 star, but why, god knows, value for money it was fantastic. The rooms are basic, but provide all you need!! Lets face it, how long do you spend in your room?? As for noise... do people sleep with ear tumpets permenatly attatched to their ears to ensure they do not miss the slightest sound? As I certainly did not have any problems with noise and I sleep very lightly indeed! I must admit the main pool area was very large and what I would describe as "happy clappy... all singing all dancing kids"... urgh! But there are 3 other smaller pool areas to choose from. All with bar's serving refreshments during the day. Pools were not cold!!! Its character building and I jumped in each and everytime!!! Deal with it people!!!!.... Didnt sample the A la carte menu's, but friends did, very very good. And the wine was flowing!!! Shame I didnt make it!!! The buffet was fine, very samey each day, but with the massive turn over of food it would be hard not too!! It was fine fine fine!! However, the snack bar is fab!! Waiter service, constant drinks - AND NOT HAVING TO TIP!!!! So not sure where people got that idea!! We tipped a total of 20 dirhams (£1.20) all week and were constantly provided for... even in the buffet restruant!! We ended up being a group of about 6 and not once were we refused a round of 6 drinks at the bar. Everyone was ever so friendly and really made the holiday!! Entertainment - Crap! Entertainment team - Rubbish! ... But hey... Leiah, Ann, Kath, Becky and I were the entertainment team for our week.. even gatecrashing the kiddy disco.. eek.. under the influance. So, in conclusion, great value for money! Would totally return. A holiday is what YOU make of it! Don't waste your time moaning when you've paid peanuts coz guys, we don't wana hear it!!!!

My Partner and I spent the last week in May at the Agador. The best thing was the gorgeous weather! Most of the hotel was very clean and well kept. The rooms were basic but who escapes the british weather to spend a holiday in their room?! We actually had to move rooms twice thoughout the week- there is a disco opposite the hotel which goes on every night until 4am so if you are facing the front of the hotel you may find it impossible to sleep as the music is so loud- I am suprised that nobody has mentioned it, maybe they were lucky enough to have a quiet room! the second time was due to the fact that our room was directly above a kitchen and all we could here was incredibly loud banging around and staff shouting. we eventually got a quiet room facing the 'garden' which was great. I do agree that the french get the special treatment like being allowed to take more than the 2 'allowed' drinks from the bar and little things like that but hey they speak the same language and some staff speak very little english but then why should they, us brits need to make more of an effort- I certainly tried! the food was ok but quite samey- half way through the week we discovered a new bookable buffet restaurant that has a different theme of food each night- this one was the best as it had choice where as the other bookable restaurants only have a single set menu for the evening so if you don't like it you can lump it! I have to say that in our experience if you did not tip the waiting staff within a couple of days of arriving they barely aknowledge you after that which was fine for it just being the 2 of us as we weren't particularly bothered though it was obvious who had been tipping who! also there is no organisation in the main restaurant so you kind of get pushed out the way by the French who believe that they are the more superior guests- we have never seen such pushing and rudeness before! I found it best to give them the 'look' if they pushed me! we spent our time at the pool furthest away in the complex- this was the quietest away from the main pool which is where the entertainment happens and generally where all the loud people go with their kids!- we were slightly disappointed that none of the pools at the time were heated- they were pretty chilly and it was entertaining to watch new guests getting in the pool for the 1st time to find a shock to the system! - also the evenings were chilly even at the end of May. we take our hats off to the animation team who work 9am-midnight days- entertainment is not our cup of tea but they do work damn hard and are always smiling. we also got on very well with Mohammed the cocktail barman, he told us to give him a small tip and we could have any cocktails as and when we wanted instead of the all-inc. cocktail of the day which was always the same! apart from him most of the barman were generally quite rude and grumpy and had a habit of serving you the wrong drink and then contesting it! they were alright if you are female though! would we go back? no probably not. I think that if I had not got a cheap deal and paid the full price I probably would have been quite disapointed. Go there with an open mind and little expectations and you will enjoy it..........

my experiance in agadir was brilliant me and my friend went in may 07 we had a really good time we loved the surroundings and the staff were very friendly the reps at the hotel were fantastic we got to no a few of them and it was lovely i would certainly recomend the hotel to anyone there are things for all age groups .

I went in feb this year it was brilliant ,the animation team were great the food was good the hotel was clean and evrybody was friendly. Im going back there may the 16th for a wk again ,i cant wait.

We stayed here the last week in April, we were really happy with what this hotel had to offer, its not luxurious but then that is reflected in the price, its really clean and well kept. The staff are more than helpful and in return a tip is really appreciated which we did at the end of the holiday. The only thing i was surprised by was there was no air conditioning availabale. It wasnt a problem for us at all because although the weather was fab and really warm during the day (around 25deg) in the evening it was cool and it was for that reason i think that the room never felt too warm there was definately no need for air con had it been available, but in the height of the summer i would imagine it would be a differnet story but i did see that it was possible to rent a fan for the week. I would suggest bringing your own towel preferably a distinctive one you dont mind having robbed, we didnt bring towels so rented 2 for the week at the cost of 100dirhams (approx £6.50) each which you get back when you return your towel, one day we left our towel on a lounger by the pool while we went to lunch when we came back a while after they were gone, because all the rented towels were yellow it would seem people were taking them and returning them for the 100 dirham deposit, if we had had our own distinctive towel this wouldnt of happenened, it was because nearly everyone had the same rented yellow towel that we couldnt tell who had taken it. The hotel has its own private part of the beach which is really nice, the beach is still being done up but it didnt really have a negative effect. Agadir is nice but be warned there is not much to do apart from relax eat and drink but day trips are available. I would have liked to visit Marrakech but it was 4hours away the day trip was from 6am-11pm which i felt was just too long a day but other people did go on it and said it was really worthwhile. I am a really picky eater but i have to say the choice of food was brilliant, we ate in all the ala carte restaurants, they were lovely ala carte is not really what i would describe them as but for the money it cost to stay all inclusive they are more than adequate.

We returned last week (9th May 2007) after a week in the Agador. Briefly.. the tour guides were faultless but un-needed for us, accommodation first class, food much better than expected, animation team must be the best in Morocco, waiters and staff exceedingly friendly. Most enjoyable experience.

Rooms are spacious and cleaned every day, Our first time all inclusive and we thought the place was great. There was a good selection of bars and restaurants, including themed restaurants (would recommend the Morroccan restaurant). There are 4 pools, all clean and well maintained. The staff are really friendly and there are plenty of activities on site - archery, tennis, mini golf. About a 10 minute stroll to the private beach, which currently seems to have some building work going on around it, but beach is clean and there seemed to be less demand for sunbeds down there. The entertainement staff are keen for everyone to get involved - great if you have kids, fairly easy to avoid them if you're just after peace and quiet.

Great all inclusive hotel a little way from the centre of town...taxi's wait outside but be careful not to be ripped off. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are friendly. There are several resturants and places to eat and drink some staying open till about 2 in the morning. The entertainment is good and goes on most of the day and evening. The pools are a good size and clean and the beach is about 5 minutes outside the hotel although the hotel has got a reserved section of beach.

This hotel is amazing and i have been back twice the anamation team are really good and make your holiday complete. they are great fun and a really good laugh for adults and kids. all of the staff are exellent and really friendly.

Usually you only get people come on these sites if they've had an awful experience or an amazing one. I'm here to give an honest review of the hotel. Booked it on the advice of Going PLaces agent with 3 wks to go. Was open minded but became slightly concern when i read some of the reviews. For a 3 star hotel this place is amazing. NO i didnt say it was amazing - I said for a 3 star it is. If you want amazing then you book a 5 star. NOTE TO ALL YOU MOANERS OUT THERE! You get what you pay for, Or in this case you get a lot more. Great variety of restaurants. One for every night of a 1 wk holiday. Cant understand the people who ate in teh Oasis buffet every night, although it was more than adequate. The main pool near the Oasis restaurant seemed to attract the "pikies" - guess becasue that's where most of the entertainment was, but there was so many lovely sections of teh hotel. ie, the pool by the Rotunde pool bar. Lovely! spot on. The great thing was that this place is like a resort not a single hotel. it has so much to it and being joined with the pueblo tamlelt means you really have so much around you - its liek a mini town. A downside to this place is the way they take your All Inc band off you at 12 midday on your last day even if you leave in teh evening so you cant get anymore pool bar drinks after that which is cheeky. They do give you a lunch voucher though which gets you fed and watered on last afternoon. My tip here is to pay a few visits to the lunchtime snack area during your stay. Its outside the pizza restaurant. Open 1300-1600hrs. They outside table service is amazing and youll find that if you tip the attentive waiters about 20 dirhams (£1.40) They will be your best friend and personal waiters for as long as you want. Trust me - wristband or not on the last day, they will take care of you ;-) Try to get a room away from the main pool if u want some quiet in the evenings. Blocks 2000, 2100, 2200, 2300 and 2400 with pool views will be noisey until the entertainment stops about midnight, These blocks facing away from pool (over tennis courts and garden) wil be better. Blocks 3100- 3400 should provide more quiet at night. Not the sort of person who goes back to places ive been before purely because there are so many places to go in the world but would consider this for the guaranteed weather. Its the new canary islands, People had moaned about the locals outside the hotel but they are fine rreally. You get a few approaching you at the beach trying to sell stuff but if you say firmly and politely No thank you, they leave you alone. We walked down to the main town near the bird zoo thing and got the Noddy train around the town of agadir which i recommend. You do get some people trying to attract you but if youre not interested they get the picture. Its no different to walking around in spain and have those english reps trying to get you to eat or drink in their bars. Just say no thanks. What you must remember is that these people in morocco are trying to make ends meet and survive, thats why they need your business. Be prepared to haggle - 25 to 30% of their start price is a good price to pay. PLEASE, dont do what i saw some stupid woman doing in the airport and buying a moroccan cooking dish that she could have bought in town for about a fith of the price it was in the airport shop! Mug, Happy holidays, a great place to go for sun and to relax. Oh and dont just blame "die Germans" for stealing the sun loungers - us brits are just as bad. You have been warned - get them before breakfast or you wont have one. haha. Darren & Sam

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday. Our 2 year old loved it, he got so much attention from all the staff. However we did find it a little difficult navigating the some parts of the complex with the pram, due to the number of steps. I would not recommend this hotel for wheelchair users. We were really supprised at the size of the complex. There were lots of places to relax and plenty of places to get involve with activities. We were quite worried when we received a letter 2 weeks before we were due to fly out to Morocco. It had stated that there was building work going on but it was not going to be disruptive. In fact it turned out to be some painting and the mini golf being renovated. It was quite good to see they were keeping things upto date. The room was basic and a little old fashioned but very clean and we always had fresh sheets and towels. We were not warned about the building work going on on the beach - they are building a prom. I heard this will be a 3 year project. This meant that we did have to walk past the diggers etc. to get to our part of the beach. Our son loved it thinking it was Bob the Builder. Once on our bit of beach we couldn't see or hear any of the building work. The staff on the beach are 5 star, especially Abdul. The weather was perfect during the day however it did go a little chilly in the evening so take some sweaters. I can not recommend using the Launderette as out of the 10 items we put in 2 were lost and 1 was ruined. Our First Choice rep was no help. He said that the Launderette was not owned by the hotel (although it is part of the complex and in the brochure) and so could not offer any assistance. All we needed was for him to translate as the language barrier made resolving the issue difficult. He promised to find us but never did untill we caught up with him as we were leaving. The hotel seemed to be full while we were there so sometimes it was difficult to get a sunbed by the pool. Our advise is don't bother it is far nicer on the beach and you get treated like royalty there. They even have buckets and spades for the children to play with so you don't need to carry your own down there. Dispite the minor hiccups we really enjoyed this holiday. So much so that we would like to go back next year.

I travelled with my wife for a long stay holiday at this hotel for 2 months. Having stayed in over 200 hotels all over the world mostly 4 and 5 star, because of my job i was worried about booking a 3 star hotel, especially in a developing country like Morocco. The facilities in this hotel are endless. To be honest i think the food is better than most 4 and 5 star hotels i have stayed in. We booked this holiday through First Choice and i must say they are the best company i have travelled with. Our rep who is called Cem met us at the airport and took us on the coach, he waited until everyone had checked in and talked with everyone for ages. Very friendly and he is from Turkey (looks a bit like Fred Flinstone) alway there when you need him. The staff at the hotel are the friendliest i have ever met. Considering this is Morocco the standards are very high for a 3 star, better than places i have seen in greece and spain. The food in the hotel is amazing, so much selection and great choice of international dishes. 15 different salad dishes to choose from, soup, meat, pasta, fish, the list is endless. Normally every other hotel we stay at we get bored of the food after 1 week. but 2 months later in the Agador we where still not fed up. We booked the A La carte restaurants twice a week and i must say the sevice and food was five star, the choices of A La Carte restaurants includes the following: Steak Tex Mex, Fish Restaurant, Chinese, Sushi, Moroccan, Pizzaria. The hotel has 2 snack bars, one open from 1 - 4pm and one open 22:30 - 24:00, day time snack bar i recomend the hotdog and the chicken sandwich. So if you are the new age junk food person then the snack bar is for you. Main buffet restaurant is open breakfast, and dinner. As Morocco has such a high French influence i was expecting continental breakfast which most hotels in Morocco have, (Toast and Croissants) I was wrong again, athough its not the english breakfast they do have pancakes, Moroccan Sausages, eggs, omellets. One thing to remember about Morocco is due to importing laws most food products are not allowed into the country, so they have to make do with what their own country can provide. If you like alcohol then this is the place for you. Free alcohol all day and night, its a dream come true for most British. 5 bars in total. The hotel has 4 pools 2 of which are heated. Ive never seen so many hotel staff in my life, how can they afford it. No negatives for you im afraid. A bit of advice, do not book excursions from people in the street as they are illegal and the trips are pathetic, we met many people who booked outside the hotel and they where very dissapointed. We booked our trips through First Choice. We want to Marrakech for the 2 day overnight trip and i would recomend it to anyone, its an amazing city, the tour is guided so you dont get hassled of the locals if you are with a guide, and without the guide you will get lost in the market total maze. As i would say to anyone why come to Morocco if you are not going to visit Marrakech. We also went on the 4x4 to the mini sahara, berber evening excursion was also excellent and very cheap, you get food, wine, transport and an excellent show for next to nothing. Hotel overall 10/10 Food is 5 star. Our rep Fred Flinstone is an asset to First Choice and very good at arm wrestling.

i loved this place its fantastic its was my first time last year i had a fantastic time i also met my boyfriend who works at this hotel im going back next month but to an apartment to spend time with but the hotel has had some really bad reviews lately i want to clear them up please dont listen to the stupid people who complain over silly things like the rooms or the complex as it fantastic all i say you book 3 star you get 3 star quality but you get extra hear they work really hard and give you one hundred percent and good quality service the animation team make your holiday a merorable one because the make you part of the family and no one is left out the food is good they service every thing from morrocan to chinese to traditional english food so fussy eaters are well looked after the bar staff a great anfd friendly and got great memories as the remembered my drink before i even asked but i made grat friends with othmane who i ring and we text each other regularly he like my brother and hiba girls one major player he got girls coming out of his ears but hes a great sport looks like christino rinaldo and mimo he loverly and friendly but karim hes a darling and well zambla god hes sexy but very moody and dont smile much im not ganna say who my boyfrind but its one of them 5 but not karim but every thing was perfect the food the sun the people the entertainment which was all day and every day and morocco it self a great experiance

I liked the most the animation team. they were so great! :) Now I am missing them all the time..especially hiba, because he was so cute :D

third time in 18 momths short flight half an hour transfer animation team brill [ottaman nemo sieed and hassna]very good the tip system works and all staff will look after you weather good and pleanty to do food could be better but not complaing remember you are abroad recomend it 100 percent

this place was just wonderful one of the best holidays ever. i didnt want to come home. apart from being poorly it was fab. the people were so kind and friendly. the guests the same. the waiter would to do anything for you and the animation team were so friendly. they even came out with us after the bars had closed down and we all went out in agadir. i really rate this hotel and there ever so helpful staff. if you have a chance to go.ill definately return at some point. just remember its morocco a country still developing. go open minded, and definately experiance 2 days in marrekech.

There were only three good things about staying at this hotel:

The best VFM holiday I think I have ever had. I would have to admit hat the rooms are basic, and cold at night in the winter. But so is England! The all-inclusive food was excellent, huge choice and good service. The animantion Team did a brilliant job, my daughter had the best time with them. The shows were corny, but also entertaining, the bar service fine. As a value for money all-inclsuive hotel it is excellent, when you remember where it is. If you want a better holiday pay more and complain less.

I promise this review is not biased,it is a true reflectionand one which at least 5 other couple on our Thomsons holiday thier experienced too.

Food was not hot and not cooked properly. Everyone had bad tummies and that was just the start!! Don't bother....

I just loved this holiday so much I wanted to stay, I could of just left my life in England and stayed in morocco at that hotel!! I got back last night after my 3rd time, And now the family and me are deciding our next visit. The reps were brilliant; they were such a highlight of the holiday. The entertainment was spot on, friendly people, children?s activities are great, and in a nutshell everything was perfect! I can?t see myself in another resort, thank you for giving me the time of my life for a 3rd time and yet I think more.

I thought this was a very good place for a holiday. The weather is fantastic. The showes are great in the evening. The Reps are helpful and the places is very clean.

I came the this hotel last year in june and it was amazing...the service is great and the hotel and surrounding grounds are beautiful...i would recomend anyone to go...

My first experience was awful i didnt like my room then that day they had some problems with water so when i went to shower i found out there's no water and i was going to take my bags and fly back home as soon as possible...i couldnt even think that in 2 weeks i will have my eyes full of tears!!everything was great!!!so i really can't wait to come back there again next year..

As soon as we arrived everything was really quick and we were shown to our room 2619 very quickly... it was a nice location wasnt to far from either reception or pool. Pools were all cold but needed to be as it was nice and hot! Lots of great activities my favourite being basketball with Zakaria but others were good like darts, aqua gym, tennis etc. Great stuff for little children as the entertainers who do it are great!!!!

Just returned from 2 fantastic weeks here. The rooms are clean with all the usual features. Maids clean the rooms daily. There are four pools, two of which are heated. The pools were cleaned every day of our stay. The food was great with plenty of choice, served as a buffet. Chips & spag bol are served daily for the less adventureous eater. This is the first holiday I havent been ill. There are several themed resteraunts that you can use 6 nights per week. All the staff are very friendly & made us feel like family, they appreciate the odd tip but wont hassle you if you dont. There are 7 bars which are well staffed by very pleasent staff, if tipped they will even bring your drinks to your table & keep you topped up all the time. The beach is 300 meteres away & is well kept, but there is a new promanade & hotel under construction, though disruption to our holiday was minimal. The Animation Team are the best, they work long hard hours to keep you entertained. Aziz, Faycal, Zizo, Chamouss, Bouchra & Kahlid were excellent to us.

carrbean village adgir august 29 2007 we stayed there for 1 week , first when i got there it didnot look that great, but once we settled in, i thought the hotel was very nice, you had a lot of choice for food even the fussy eaters got what they wanted,it had two hug e swimmming pools and a kids pool, there werlots to do there for the kids, if you got kids ,teenagers and small children then this hotel is the one. the only thing you have a lot of walking to do, because everthing is spread out far

Oh my god. How can anybody hate the place? I absolutley LOVED it!! The people were so nice, and, ahh it was just amazing. Deffinatly going back next year. For sure.

Myself, my daughter and my husband stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks from the 29th August-12th September. We arrived at the hotel and were immediately asked to fill in forms before doing anything alse, which was a bit annoying the reception staff were not the most helpful throughout this holiday. We were showed to our room which was very nice and big and had everything that we wanted. It was cleaned everyday and fresh towels were also given everyday. The complex is massive and has loads of pools however for the first week of our holiday it was still in the school holidays, so was very busy and it was near on impossible to get a bed and most of them were broken which was very annoying. We did notice though that if you were a single woman and looked half decent and french it didnt matter what time you came as the pool man would magic some sunbeds up for them from somewhere. The pools were great if a little cold!! Right the food, have to say not very good alot of flies and very samey, we all had a bad stomach especially my husband who after a few days of being back home is still ill!! The cramps are awfull and everyone we spoke to had them. The themed restaurants are better than the buffet much cleaner and the food better and the snack bar at night was fab great sarnies and pizza. This hotel is full of French people and I have always wanted to go to France, however after visiting this hotel and meeting them I can honestly say that I will never go and that they are the most rude and arrogant people that I have ever met. They would push in, stare at you constanly, and basically think they were better than everyone else. I had a huge argument with one French lady after she tried to steal my hubbys sunbed while he had just popped to the toilet. She literally tried to drag it off me and would not listen when I said it was taken. They were also very rude to the staff and would click their fingers and they also never tipped. This for me was the worst thing about our holiday but this is not the hotels fault however I thought I should warn you about them. The best thing about this hotel was the staff they were wonderful and could not do enough for you!! If you tiped them around 20 dirhams (just over a pound) they would treat you brill. The staff in the lobby bar are the best especially Siad, Lahcen and Mohammed. Our 5 year old daughter adored them and cried her eyes out when she had to come home!! They are what made our holiday and we are going to keep in contact with them. We also met some great english people. The entertainment is great the shows like Lion King are brill and the Morrocon night is fab especially chocolate who I have to say is the most handsome camel I think I have ever seen. The beach is nothing special only went once got hassled to buy doughnuts, bananas and drugs!!??!! Be prepared to get hassled alot its a shame really because it stops you from going into the shops if they left you alone you would propbably end up buying more. Dont forget to hassle. To sum it all up we had a great time, this was mainly because of the people we met and the staff. If the hotel had a bit of clean up and changed their chefs it would be a very good hotel. The weather was good everyday sometimes cloudy until midday, but otherwise in mid 30's. Would we return to this hotel, no but thats because we never go to the same place twice and we have now said that we will pay that little extra so to get that little bit better. Your holiday is what you make it so even though we had bad tummys, the French were rude and the food wernt great we still had a fab time.

Me and my girlfriend booked this with no idea what to expect, we read some of the reviews on trip advisor and we were quite worried about what to expect i.e the food etc. It did rain a couple of days but it was only for 30 mins max but the sun was still out, so dont worry when it rains, it's just getting rid of the humidity. Check-in takes about 15 mins filling out forms etc, then out bags were taken to out room by a porter, we tipped him 10 Dirhams (60p) and he was happy as they come. The room was a perfect size and met all of our needs, the maids we excellent and when ever we needed something we just rang reception and they sorted it straight out, e.g toilet paper etc. Breakfast: Your normal breakfast, continental, eggs bacon, cerals etc......the ommlette man is a legend, you have to get an ommlette, he makes it fresh infront of you. We had 1 every day. Lunch: The 1st week we just went and had some chips and spagetti etc, but in the 2nd week we discovered that you can go to snack bar (pizzeria by night), you can choose from hot dogs, chesse burgers, panini's, service is amazing and just tipped again 10 Dirhams (60p) and they would make sure you had a seat every day, your glass was never empty!!! Dinner: You could choose form around 6/7 resteraunts. The Oasis was just a buffet of different things every night. You can also choose from a number of resteraunts. Fish bar, Pizzeria, Sushi, Chinease and Indian, there is also a resteraunt by the booking window where they have different theme's every night and it is amazing expecially the french night and Italian, the food is amazing and again tipping the waiters gets you everywhere, table drinks refilled etc. All of the staff are amazing, the Animation team must work 24 hours a day because they are always around entertaining both kids and adults. Bar staff/bar waiters are such a laugh, if you have a bit of banter with them they will sort you out big time, they will give you doubles in your drinks, let you have more than 1 per person, We tipped around 6 of the staff and it was well worth it. before we finish this review, we have to mention the Chicha man (shufty shufty) you have to spend a couple of evenings with him having a Chicha pipe. such a laugh The beach isnt far away out of the back of the hotel, it is a bit of building site tho at the minute, the beach is being made to look more like a tourist holiday destinitation. The hotel has its own private beach where the all inclusive drinks keep flowing down there! you get free use of canoe's, pedloe's and the cataman, a long with sunbeds and sombreo's. Be carfeul on the beach, people will try and sell you things and say its a gift, then ask you to pay them for the gift.....you just have to say no and walk off otherwise they do get a little angry. they are not allowed into the hotels private beach and they know it as they do not even attempt to speak to you while in their, also the beach in patrolled by the local police. the hotel has basket ball, football, volleyball (inside pool and out), tennis, crazy golf and many more. You can hire a fridge from the anamitation team which is worth it as the rooms don't come with one. You will struggle to spend you money over there, the pound is so strong to the Dirham.
