Cheap flights to Liverpool

Liverpool is experiencing something of a renaissance at the moment as the rest of the world realise what Liverpudlians always knew to be true: this is a vibrant, cultural city with plenty to see and do. Liverpool was the European Capital of Culture in 2008 and the city was spruced up in preparation for the extra tourists arriving from Liverpool flights. And there is culture in abundance here. The city has a host of art galleries and museums: most famously, the ever-popular Tate has a gallery here. The architecture is similarly impressive. The entire waterfront area was designated a Unesco world heritage site in 2004 for its spectacular array of listed buildings. The River Mersey itself, immortalised in song, is another draw. But many of those booking flights to Liverpool are here for its musical heritage. Above all else, this is the home of the Beatles. It's possible to take tours of the city stopping off at all relevant Beatle destinations – homes of the band and places named in songs. Liverpool still isn't as popular with tourists as other destinations in the north – which means that finding cheap Liverpool flights is relatively easy – but all that is changing fast.
