Cheap flights to Guangzhou

Many of those arriving from flights to Guangzhou are here on business. The ancient capital of the Guangdong province of Southern China, once known as Canton to the West, is a consumerist, economic hub, similar to neighbouring Hong Kong. But where once the city was scruffy and concrete, a recent overhaul is helping it to sparkle and appeal as a destination in its own right. Its location to Hong Kong is part of the appeal of Guangzhou. Transport is much cheaper between Guangzhou and the rest of China than it is to Hong Kong, so many of those on their way to or from HK book cheap Guangzhou flights and then travel on to Hong Kong. But a night or a week in Guangzhou reveals an interesting city. The city is once again taking on a pleasant appearance, thanks to restoration of the old churches, temples, shrines and mansions, combined with a demolition of the ugly concrete buildings. But what most tourists who have recently taken Guangzhou flights talk about is the food. Cantonese food is said to be the best in China and nowhere is it better than Guangzhou.
